With all the feel of a family-run restaurant and scratch-made food, it is well worth the stop. This year, we stopped for pie and brought home a caramel roll. The pie was delicious with a very light, flaky crust. I had the pecan, warmed with ice cream and my bride had the peanut butter pie. Our only complaint was the whipped topping on the PB pie was too sugary. The caramel roll was superb! My better half said it's the closest to her mom's homemade don-don's, a high bar. We both said the caramel roll was better than those sold at Tobies. We are starting to think we may need to make more than one trip each year ...it's worth the 1 hour and 40-minute drive. The place has a beautiful lake view with outdoor seating and the servers are friendly and very attentive. Many of the staff are long-term employees which speaks highly of the management and clientele. We also love the gift shop downstairs. Don't miss out if you have the chance to enjoy the delicious food and support a locally owned restaurant.

There are about a dozen tables inside, along with a handful of stools to sit at the breakfast counter. To our surprise it was busy, but we were able to seat ourselves right away. They have a variety of classic breakfast options as well as daily specials. You can also place orders for pick up! The bacon was a little undercooked for my preference and the sausage is pre made, but everything else was outstanding. The pancakes are OUT OF THIS WORLD. The hash browns were perfectly golden and they had a variety of breads to choose from- including muffin toast which is a close second to sourdough. You gotta check this place out if you're in the area or passing by!

It came like warm at the same time our entrees were brought out. My guess is it was sitting waiting for a long time. Our server who had no other tables chose to wrap silverware instead of bringing us our food in a timely manner. The fish I got was lightly breaded but way over cooked and the breading was partially burnt. The "award winning" ribs were not very good. Could have got better ribs at Applebee's. Bill came to $76! Not worth it at all. Our server never asked how our food was, never refilled our drinks but was instead chatting with another server. When I complained to the lead server (possibly manager/owner) she thanked us for letting us know but never offered to discount any of the food items. Most restaurants would have at least given us the nachos for free. I therefore made it clear we will never return. There are other restaurants in the area with fae better food and service. Go elsewhere.

Nothing wrong with the customer service it was the fact that some people don't have time in there day to wait an hour for food and should be informed this some how before waiting especially since that's how fast food should go. I think close to an hour at any drive through is unacceptable and food should be comp or discounts or something for the inconvenience.

Another surprise- thought it was a take out place but they have seating with service in the front and a more secluded private space in the back. Also have a few canned beers available.
