Drive through couldn't get our order right. We got 3 Burgers and 2 fries. We pulled around and waited for about 10 minutes. They brought out the wrong order first, then told us later that our order was made wrong and had to redo the whole thing. She brought out the right order later and just handed it to us and walked away with an attitude. read more

Not good. Just generally dirty. Napkins in the floor, the drink area is a mess. The floor under it is a mess. The tables have ketchup gobbed on them, and the employees seem to think they're the only ones here. Just hollering across the building at each other. Very uncomfortable. This must be one of the worst McDs that I have ever frequented. My complaint is the accuracy of the order. I'm used to occasionally receiving an order that is not correct and for that part, that problem had evaporated once I started ordering on the McD's APP. However, the Minocqua Wisconsin location has elevated incompetency to an art form. Last week, I place a large order, a total of 7 burgers in all. All the burgers were ordered thru the app and I had elected for no ketchup. Each burger arrived in my bag with an individual sticker stating what was ordered and it's options. In this case, they all said no ketchup and of course each burger had ketchup on it. I can forgive that since it is an assembly line process but the additional error was what got to me. 5 of the 7 burgers were either a single or double quarter pounder with cheese and even the cardboard box each was in was labeled "with cheese" at the box factory, and all 5 were devoid cheese. Then the remaining 2 burgers in the order were triple cheeseburgers and again plenty of ketchup but no cheese. I used the friendly email from McDs corporate to comment on the problem and a day or so later I received an apologetic phone call from a store manager who said that the errors were not typical of her location. I agreed that it was a very busy day and the drive thru lines were quite long. She even offered to mail me a few coupons for my troubles. I thanked her and considered the issue closed. Until, today. My emails from McDs had prompted me to start using some of my 30000+ points in my app; as 13000 would disappear at the end of July. So I placed another large order and used 6000 points to get a free single quarter pounder w/cheese and minus ketchup. I also ordered 2 double quarter pounders w/cheese and again no ketchup. I also ordered 2 triple cheese burgers no ketchup. A very nice young lady delivered the bag to me in the drive thru waiting area after the pickup windows location. I asked her if everything I ordered was in the multiple bags and she assured me it was. I mistakenly drove away. At this point, I was accustomed to ketchup on everything and that is what I received (I probably will have to learn to love ketchup at some point). What was a little more surprising was that while I got my free $6.49 single quarter pounder with cheese (for my 6000 points), the bag was now missing both triple cheeseburgers (not sure if the were ketchup laden). So while I got a free 6 buck burger I was missing about 10 bucks worth of burgers. If this kind of stuff is always just incompetence, for every time a bag was missing one or two items, another time, I would receive an extra one or two items. Since that never happens, I must conclude that laziness laced with a healthy dose of incompetence is what they're serving. If I didn't have another 29000 points accrued, I would simply avoid the Minocqua Wis McDonalds FOREVER. But, the points are the points (great marketing). In the future I'm never going to place a large order again and I'm going to insist on a full bag inventory by the person handing me the order or I will refuse to drive forward in their line. This new plan should get me the correct total number of burgers, but without a full unwrapping, I'll probably still get ketchup and at least half the time I won't receive any cheese on my cheeseburgers. read more

I've been eating here far too much due to very busy schedule for the last year since I've moved here. I CANNOT believe that 1 employee in particular is still working there. She takes orders & your money at the drive thru mornings during week and she is the rudest person! OMG. Countless times I have been absolutely astounded. Never a smile, condescending, totally impatient, totally unhelpful, never apologizes when my order is wrong (hashbrowns missing from my order 3 Xs in 1 month!), literally scolded me once for not remembering how much my order was - she wanted to use the total to verify I was paying for the right order instead of going by what food I ordered (but that way was new to me). Another time I was ready to order but the screen was showing another person's order and wouldn't reset. When she asked to take my order I told her I couldn't see the menu screen yet to which she said, "There's nothing I can do about it, are you ready to order or not?" It was in the most snarky way and like I was being a huge pain in the butt. After a year of constant unfriendly treatment from her, I told her she was always rude to me and she told me it was reversed. I swear to you, if you asked anyone else working there they would say I am very kind. However, I did give in and call her a b**ch at that point. Totally deserved, even though I briefly had a classless moment. A year's frustration came to a head, I guess. I have been coming here 6-8 times weekly for a year. I will NEVER give this McDonald's another cent. I am just sick of being treated like I'm a a**hole. And someone mentioned pink hamburgers, I have encountered many here over 12 months. This being said, the other employees I have encountered here are nice - young and older. Food is not consistent. And for God's sake, hand a person their ice cream cone last. read more

If I could give zero I would! The most rude employees ever! How hard is it to be nice to customers since you work in a customer service environment?! After the worst customer service ever, my husbands burger was pink!!!! I ate mine and hope to god mine wasn't pink and I don't get sick. I would show my receipt, however the girl who took our money (who was a word I don't want to type) said in a very snotty tone "you can get it at the next window". Which we know they don't give receipts there, you get it at the window where you pay. read more

I hate to give a bad review, and only do so when a place is truly deserving. Stopped here for lunch around 2:15 PM on a Sunday afternoon in summer. I went in and ordered our food, while the husband took the dogs out. I used the kiosk to order, which was actually easy and convenient, but I can see how some might not like it. The place was EXTREMELY busy. It took between 10 and 15 minutes to get our food to go. The fries were hot and delicious. The burgers were cold. Specifically, my quarter pounder with cheese, which is supposed to use fresh beef and be cooked to order (?) was cold, burnt, and dry. We ate in our RV with a good view of the drive through, and saw multiple people just leave. To be fair, they were hiring and probably understaffed. There was one lady who I think was a manager busting her butt. And I guess I'm getting old, but $17 for two value meals? Stopped at a Wisconsin based fast food chain on way home, in same area, known for food cooked to order, and received our food in five minutes, was hot and delicious, and $1 more. read more

This might be one of the nicest McDonald's I've been to. Being from MKE, I'm used to slow, sullen service, dirty tables and gross bathrooms. This location has cheerful, pleasant employees and free wifi. It looks freshly remodeled with nice leather club chairs, clean eating areas and a real fireplace. Even the bathrooms were spotless. The food....it's McDonald's - so you know what you're getting. Still, they made our order correctly and delivered it fast. I can think of about 20 Milwaukee locations that need to make a field trip to this location and see how it's done. read more

Nice and clean but gave us the wrong food and when we brought it up the lady was a real jack off. We told them what we ordered and she said "well, the receipt says this" . I don't care what the receipt says. We know what we ordered and don't be rude to my wife. Your staff is extremely rude and treats their costumers very poorly. Several employees spoke to us with condescending tones and they were not helpful at all. We asked one of them a simple question about something being put in our bag and the lady immediately snapped at us and said she doesn't know and that it's not her job to know. Another worker even tried to charge us more for the food we had ordered. I will never be spending money here again and I will make sure to inform others on the quality of the staff. I came in there tonight at 7:25 and from 7:25 till 8:05 the French fry buzzer kept going off continuously. do they have any idea how much that can drive their customers crazy? this may seem like a small thing but McDonald's franchise is over all seem to do the same thing. management, get on the ball and instruct your people as soon as they hear that thing to add turn it off and do the fries set up another one but don't let it run for 35 to 40 minutes straight. read more

This McDonald's used to be one of the nicest in the country. Always busy, always clean, courteous, consistent and basically spot on in all aspects. What has happened in the last six months is beyond me. It's dirty constantly, doors all fingerprinted heavily, front line and male manager talking like they're in high school and will literally walk by used tables and even garbage on the floor. I've been going to that McDonalds since I was a kid and it very first opened. I've never, even when I was a teenager and running a restaurant down the road, seen it as bad as it has been and if I owned it, I'd be very concerned about the silent majority of people having some pretty bad experiences and will never tell the story until it's too late. Went to McDonald's tonight with my family for dinner. We were the only people inside and stood there for 10min and no one bothered to come take our order. The Manager was only taking drive thru orders and then talking on her cell phone while helping customers at the drive thru window. She looked at us at least three times, but acted like we weren't there. Finally we just said forget it and went to Burger King. Highly doubt I'll visit this location again and I only live 5min away. read more

I am very disappointed in your renovation of the store in Minocqua Wi. What was a once cozy, warm, and somewhat private meeting place for a group of us retired women we find it more like a cafeteria. Loud, plastic, and opened up like a cafeteria. The so-called free wi/fi kept shutting down every couple of minutes and we have decided to chose an alternative to our weekly get togethers. Thanks for years of a welcomed venue previously. It is no longer fitting our needs. The food remains good and service friendly but a quick drive through in a pinch is all you can do for us now. read more

I have lived in Minocqua all my life so I have gone to this restaurant many times. In the past couple years it has gone completely downhill. Probably since the old owner Pirk sold it. The people that work there are SO rude! No one smiles at you and the inside of the new restaurant is always filthy. People standing around behind the counter with not a single clean table to be found. It seems to be a big inconvenience to anyone working there to have to take your order and they screw mine up almost every time I go there. How hard is it to make a plain hamburger!!! I went to the new Burger King yesterday and was very impressed. Everyone that I made eye contact with smiled at me and the food was great. I will definately be going there intead of Mc Donalds from now on. read more

I just stopped at this Mc Donalds at 11 am on 10/28/14 and it is probably one of the worst Mc Donalds I have been to. I was the only person at the counter with about 4 employees behind the counter including the manager. I waited at the cash register for about 4 minutes before someone decided to help me. The older lady that finally did should not be in customer service. The only thing she had said to me the whole time was my total. I got no hello, thanks or whatever. When my 2 regular cheeseburgers to go were ready she literally threw them on the counter and walked away. By this time there was another customer in there waiting again to get helped. This lady just kind of laughed when she seen that and I said good luck and walked out. So....I get out to my truck and going down the road. I open up the first cheeseburger and it feels and tastes like they just took it out of the refrigerator. Checked the second one and the same way. Threw them both in the garbage and will never stop there again! read more
