I have to admit I'm a fast food junkie. Being a fast food junkie you have the pleasure of visiting several different locations of the franchises I had the distinct displeasure of visiting McDonald's restaurant #19319. It's located at 60 Jericho Turnpike, Mineola, NY. After getting there fairly early we didn't realize the restaurant did not open to 7 AM so we had to go through the drive-through. That was probably our first indication this location is messed up first. First they charge you for a larger coffee the website says it's just $.20 more but yet they charge $.80 more for a larger decaf coffee a pure rip off. Next they have the audacity to charge you for lemons in your ice tea. The locations in Carle Place and in Jericho do not charge you got a nowhere to go. Bad enough they charge for it they left it out so when I got home with my breakfast I had to add the lemon Luckily I had lemons at home. Hopefully with this review you will now see that not every fast food is the same you have the choices of where to go to the McDonald's in Jericho is just 3 miles down the block and the McDonald's and car places just around the block avoid the Mineola location. The food is typically decent but the service is constantly horrible. I ordered on the app and included hot mustard for my nuggets. I picked up on the drive through. No issues so far. On my way out I did ask if I could try one of their Szechuan sauces which is a National Promotion. No one there knew anything about what I was talking about. Neither in English or Spanish. Absolute Boobery. So I left. I got back to my job to find out they never gave me the hot mustard either. $15 an hour....what a joke. As far as a McDonalds goes this is my local store and I am happy to see so many happy faces behind the counter. The team is well trained and I have never been disappointed with any of my special requests. There is not much I can say as long as they greet you properly and give you your order promptly. The store is always clean and I never see anything littering the parking lot. I am disappointed that they took the Angus Burger off the menu... I drive for Uber Eats. Today, May 27, 2021 around 11:45am I arrived to pickup my order, no one greets me or asks to help. Everyone is speaking Spanish (including the manager) with their backs turned. I finally identify myself as an Uber Eats delivery driver & ask for the order, the clerk waves me off & tells me she's working on it. The entire time the crew is chatting away in Spanish. I finally check the bags myself & see that the order I was waiting for is complete, NO ONE SAID A WORD TO ME. There seems to be a trend in the fast food industry of treating delivery drivers with less respect than customers when in fact we represent the customer and we can report negative interactions. The manager at this mcdonalds is straight up rude. The lady before me needed cream for her coffee and it was a hassle for the manager to get the creamer behind the counter. Then I ordered and asked for extra BBQ sauce for my French fries and chicken nugget order. She said I had enough BBQ sauce and if I am suppose to use ketchup for my French fries. I don't understand why it's like pulling teeth to ask for BBQ sauce or cream behind the counter. It is just a really bad McDonalds. The chicken is kind of burnt, so the it's not that golden brown crispiness but that orange brown color. The Big Mac I got was really average.
