This McDonald's is located inside of the Pilot travel center. We came here to get breakfast during a recent road trip. The staff members were absolutely amazing! The food is good. Service was average wait time. As I'm looking around I notice a sign that say " no Lottery, lobby is for pay customer, for Safety and Security reasons, 30 minutes per customer. " Must we post such sign, you are a part of a truck stop what are you to expect. Customer are not to be place on a time limit. And I think it's pretty clear that the truck stop would not tolerate people Lottery on their property. I mean after all that's what the local police handles on a daily basis. I think it would do you do justice to remove this sign because it is an insult to your customers and what your customers may think of you. read more

Okay, my wife and I bypassed two other McDonald's to come to this store. We usually love this location because of the friendly staff and amazing quality food. Today, we pulled in and the drive through was closed, so since we'd bypassed two other stores, we parked and went inside. The staff was friendly as always and we ordered without issues. When we got home, my double quarter pounder was only a single. Figuring that I didn't need the extra meat, I bit into my burger. It was basically raw. What a disappointment. We will still come to this location, but, sadly, I'll probably have to take a bite while I'm still on-site. Once bitten, twice shy! See attached image. read more

Against my better judgement I tried this location for breakfast this morning. I waited in line longer than I normally will because they have deasigned the drive through where you are trapped in it. I asked the drive through attendant if the egg mcmuffin is supposed to be toasted, she said yes and apologized for untoasted ones I had got before. End results: Iced coffee was old tasting, not fresh at all. Hash browns were limp and tasted like stale grease. Efgg mcmuffin was NOT TOASTED, the cheese wasn''t even melted! I think she was the manager, more invested in personal convo than customers. They were talking about whos more exhausted from work. the pilot entrence was blocked, had to enter from outside. Also only kiosk ordering. Served me one raw medium french fry and one medium overcooked. Showed her the raw french fry without saying anything and she took it back. It looked like she gave me the same raw french fry back except she cooked it a bit longer. Perhaps 1minute longer. It helped a little but was still raw and nasty. Waste of money and time. Also payed for 3 pattys on a plain hamburger and they only gave me 2. Also, the pattys were dried out hard and gross lol. This location is no good. read more

Had to wait over 30 min for my family's order, and when I received it, it was missing items. I questioned the manager on duty(claimed his name was Matt) about the order taking 30min and the missing item. The manager snatched my receipt out of my hand like a toddler, while his buddy at the register was laughing. This store has some serious cleanliness and employee hygiene issues. The manager handing out the food had open sores and scabs all over his face from picking at his skin. This person should not be touching customer food. After seeing him, my wife would not let my daughter or herself eat the food. Seems like this store is ran like a drug den. read more

How ironic that this McDonald's is in McDonald. MurkDonald's is a Murky place late at night, and scary. Luckily this place is neither murky nor scary. It's more like a safe haven, a beacon in the night when driving across TN towards KY. I wonder if KY Jelly is from KY. Anyway. In the middle of the night when I have to drive literally all through the night, I often get peckish. I was more than peckish in McDonald, TN. I filled up at the Pilot here, and then helped myself to a small order of French Fries. Wolfed them right down and wished that (a) they had been piping hot and (b) I had gotten a large. Well, it's a good McDonald's. I think the manager waited on me. She was pretty nice but could have been in a better attitude. This is at Exit 20 inside Pilot and I can't believe no one has reviewed it yet. menu items ordered: Dr Pepper, French Fries and a Quarter Pounder Deluxe. It came with Ketchup as I forgot to tell them to leave it off. I was hungry so I ate it anyway. I sat inside but you can sit outside of you like. They also have a drive thru which is kind of hard to get to. You must enter on left and do a "necklace" type turn about then end up on the left side of building. So If you have a big truck, forget it, just go inside like I did. read more

Drive through is never open in the morning. Still understaffed this late in the game? Ownership is at fault. No reason to have this level of lack of service in today's world. Horrible service. The lady Taking our order was slow and had to repeat EVERYTHING. Despite repeating everything 3 out of 4 of our meals were messed up. How hard is it to take pickles off of a cheese burger and add extra on a different meal? Trashcans were full and couldn't put trash In it. Although they had a lot of staff, no one was tending to this issue. Gross and horrible. Second worse McDonald's I've ever been too....pass this one up and go a few more miles up/down the interstate and find something else. read more

When we opened our bag there were only 2 things in our order that were correct. Bethany the General Supervisor will call you a potential liar when you ask for the incorrect portion of your order to be refunded to your credit card. So check your order before you leave the window, because they will do anything to keep from refunding you for the error they made. Even after they remade my order, my large fry was under cooked- pale and mashed potato like. I actually marked this location on my map as a place to never return to! You should as well. Lazy staff. Didn't want to cook tenders so lied and said they didn't have them then 2 seconds later said it's because we will be switching to breakfast... luckily subway is next door and was happy to make what I wanted and they gave me lots of napkins. 5 stars for the subway! CERTAINLY NOT THE NORM! We are heading home after a short trip to Knoxville and this is our last stop before we arrive home, so we decide to get a bite to eat. I am super thirsty but do not like drinking a lot of water while traveling. I decide that a vanilla shake will satisfy my thirst until I get home. I order a cheeseburger and shake and my husband requests a large order of fries. We place an order and take a seat. The employee quickly appears with my shake and I notice that it looks different. It is the color of eggnog and looks just as rich. A take a sip. Whoa, this is not a typical vanilla shake; it is deliciously thick and rich without being overly sweet. I like it! When our food arrives it is very fresh and hot, nothing tastes as if it has been sitting around waiting for me to arrive. As we enjoy our meal, we continue to take in our surroundings. this McDonald's is very different. It does not have the typical circus colors and has a very modern decor. I loved the elevated seating as it was very comfortable and quite unique for a McDonald's. This is really one of the nicest McDonald's I have encountered while traveling. Don't hesitate to stop here because you won't be disappointed! read more

Monday dec 17, 6:45am. Ordered a small black coffee. Woman wearing cat ears headband gave me coffee with cream in it. I took it back and had to wait for about a minute bc she was in the back talking. Three men came in and waited behind me. One asked me if anyone worked here. I asked the guy filling the ice machine to tell her I'd gotten the wrong coffee. He went back and told her and she came out to the front saying "I'm not in the mood for this". She took my coffee, and said "is something wrong with it?". I told her I ordered a small black coffee and this one had cream in it. She went to the sink, poured it out, poured my small black coffee, covered the entire lid with her hand to put it on, touching the drinking spout, and put it on the counter in front of me without a word. I thanked her and left. I'm not thinking the owner of this restaurant would want her as the face of the restaurant if he or she knew that this was her behavior. She's obviously very unhappy. She was less than polite taking orders as well. She took the order of the guy in front of me, and then turned around and said to no one in particular, " I need to make coffee". Another woman, who may have been the manager, brought two pots over and said," I have coffee, take care of your customer". The whole experience was just poor. The breakfast sandwiches were good, the hash browns were lukewarm and soggy. read more

This was far and away the worst fast food experience I have had. The restaurant was busy because it was the Sunday after Thanksgiving so people were traveling home and popped in for a quick bite. Poor unsuspecting weary travelers! If their experience was like mine, this is what I got: 1) cashier did not know the menu. I asked to substitute apples for fries and she didn't know they had apples. I pointed to them in the cooler and still, the Apple concept fully escaped her; 2) restaurant was in such disarray a customer started cleaning. She was picking up the trash all over the floor while she waited. Nice lady but come on -- that is sad; 3) my order and several others I saw were incorrect. There was no concern from any staff member at all. Now, I know it is fast food and I do not expect perfection. But when the customer in line behind me has to repeat my order because the cashier had no idea what she just rang in.....well, that is really not acceptable.
