A car which had pulled in next to us, after a time they got their order, and left. I went inside, and our (already paid for) order was not to be found. At first, no one seemed interested, then, a manager backtracked to the last order in stall 13...and found it our order had been marked as, made, delivered, and cleared. I told him it did not, and we paid in advance. He reset the order, and promptly moved it to high priority status. It was rushed to assembly. It was correct, (as Sonic usually is,) it was tasty and enjoyable (provided you ignore the "glitch,") it was worth the money paid. The manager was quite apologetic.

Loved the mesero slaw and the small cup of black beans with arroz blanco. Two days later the fish of the day was tilapia, so I went with a combo of a blackened salmon tacos and an atun ahi taco. The seared ahi tune was sprinkled with sesame seeds, pico and a roasted red pepper drizzle. The blackened salmon were topped with corn and avocado. Nice to be able to get one of each. My wife showed the server her ID before ordering a drink and told him it was her birthday and that she wanted a good birthday drink. So he clearly knew we were celebrating. At one point we asked about a small fan because of the flies outside and were told it was another customer's personal fan. After that table left, a Mesero employee picked the fan up and took it back inside, which made that explanation feel pretty questionable. Later I asked if they did anything for birthdays. The response was basically that they do not give anything free but could sing if we wanted. The way it was said made it feel like we had asked for a kidney. To be clear, they did not owe us a free dessert. It was more about the lack of hospitality after my wife's birthday had already been mentioned multiple times. Because the service was poor, our $80 bill received a $2 tip, which I personally wrote on the receipt. The next day I noticed an additional $10 charge. I checked my receipt and confirmed I had written $2, not $10. I called the restaurant, explained what happened and eventually spoke with a manager. He confirmed the charge and apologized. Mesero has now returned the $10, and I appreciate that they corrected it. What surprised me was that there was no real effort afterward to restore the relationship. No invitation to come back, no accommodation, no gesture, nothing that made us feel like they actually wanted our business. The food was good. The overall experience was not. Will we be back? No. It did not feel like they wanted our business anyway. Adios amigo.

The young man at the register had snarky comments and did not want to be there and made not only our, but his coworkers problems. The young lady in glasses named Stephanie was so rude to us that we genuinely had to ask each other if we were over reacting. She was rude and unprofessional. I have been in the service industry for over 10 years FOH and BOH, I understand we all can have a bad day but we don't take that out on each other or the guest. They mentioned they were short 2 people and we said no problem, no rush. We all know what that's like. Travelled from San Diego and Phx, AZ. Will not ever go back to that location. Management really needs to take a look at their register staff and ask themselves if these are the faces they want to represent their brand. Ice cream was good though, probably the most disappointing part.

No useful information whatsoever, but I feel like that's what makes this review so powerful. One of the dawgs is clearly operating on a completely different frequency. Bro has a little more flavor than the other one. I'm not saying anything specific, but the vibes are definitely doing something. The other dawg is just standing there like a regular citizen while this one is serving personality, confidence, and absolutely unnecessary amounts of sass. They both ate the leftovers.
