WOW! My last three visits to McDonald's have been stellar thanks to one employee (Amari)...I'm thinking of asking for his work schedule so I can always have him wait on me...all three times, my order has been exactly as requested and he's even gone the extra mile. This last time, there was no plain Ice Tea in the lobby so I didn't get anything to drink. Amari remedied the situation and brought one to the table my husband and I were seated at. One of the previous visits, we were feeding the crew working on our deck and half the fries were no salt. He made sure the no salt ones were in a separate bag so as not to mix them. Another visit, we were feeding another crew weeding and mulching our garden and there were several special orders like light tartar on the fish sandwich and another was two plain double cheeseburgers...every item in a $56 order was precisely as entered on the kiosk. I went to the McDonald's located at 4600 W. 119th Street Leawood Ks 66209 on June 5th 2025. I ordered a fish filet meal through the drive through window. Halfway through my fish sandwich I bit into a food label for Bacon thaw with an expiration date of 6/6/25 on it. Photo is included. This is clearly food contamination. I needed something FAST, which McD's provided. If not for their signs the decor here might make you think you were in a fast casual spot. Free wi-if, too. But, fast food habits fall into place quickly after you order. Here's an incongruity: order at the drive- thru and your meal gets delivered to you if the line backs up. Order inside and even if the counter is open and you're sitting just 10 feet away your order is shouted out for you to walk back for it. read more

I was headed out of town during a most trying time of my life as my father passed away last weekend. I was not looking forward to the drive back home but I stopped by your store for a quick bite to eat before getting on the highway. I ordered my usual quarter pounder w/cheese meal and specifically requested some fresh fries. When I received my order I had the pleasure of being greeted by most pleasant young lady who went on to let me know that my fries were still cooking and if I would pull forward she would be out in just a bit with my order. To my surprise the bag was piping hot with fresh fries and the most delicious quarter pounder I'd ever tasted. I just wanted to let the management at the McDonald's on 119th and Roe Ave know that Sonja put a smile on my face during a most trying time and made my trip get off to a great start and her customer service and mannerisms when serving your customers are second to none!! Kudos to you Sonja and keep up the good work as I'm sure you put smiles on all of your customers faces with every meal that you serve!! read more

This location's drive through has "updated" to automated ordering. Very frustrating if the automated order is not understood! Took several extra minutes to get the order right and then when we received the order, it was wrong. Our fault I guess for driving away without checking the bag!! Bring back live ordering! read more

This McDonald's is close to my work place. I have a love/hate relationship with Mickie Ds but the conveniences they offer make it hard to deny. Anywho, this location has two drive through lanes, they are fairly efficient, and of course as we all know the prices are good. However, they get a three because on 2 occasions they have gotten my order very wrong. In an effort to keep the line moving they do in fact mess up. Otherwise, this is a good clean location. read more

The food is the food. All the good and the bad. Still - there was one night where I was wandering the neighborhood, a long walk, a time of thought. It was maybe 1am. The restaurant did a 24 hour drive thru, but the inside was closed. You aren't supposed to be able to WALK to the drive thru. I said - hey, can I get a burger. The manager said, come on in, and asked me what was going on. I just said - thoughts and a walk in the wee hours. The burger was free. And he waved to me as he locked the main store as I walked on. The drive-through is usually a 10/10, but the inside is legit a zero. Today I waited 35 minutes to not receive my food (three sandwiches). The staff refused to give me a refund after 25 minutes. Other customers waited 25-45 minutes for food. Orders were wrong. Only use drive through for this location. Typically this happens when a restaurant is under staffed, but that did not appear to be the case today. read more

Some McDonald's have their stuff down, this is not one of them... absolute disaster every time I visit. I was trying to do something quick and cheap for lunch. I got there and prices have been raised by at least 10%, and I waited 15 minutes for a 10 piece. A lot of orders after me were received, and the manager was incredibly rude when I inquired where my order was. Almost $8 for chicken nuggets and a long wait, when I was in a hurry... Definitely a location that has a lot of work to do. read more

You couldn't pay us to eat at the McDonald's again. The lobby was locked for repairs so we used the drive-thru. There were 2 cars ahead of us. After 20 minutes, we pulled up to window 1 to pay & my son in the passenger seat (adult thankfully) could see there was a young guy rubbing up on a girl & stuffing fries in his face. He licked his fingers & took our credit card. The girl then tried to collect the money again. After 10 minutes watching these kids, 2 bags came out the window & was apparently it was not their food. They got their food & drove away. We got home & opened the bags & 2 sandwiches were out of their wrappers & crushed & the 3 filet-o-fish were inedible as they were so old the edges of of the filets were curled up, hard & cold. My husband called the store & spoke to Allison (manager) who said she remembered us. He asked what are you going to do to resolve this & she offered to replace the food; to which he said we will never eat here again. After 10 minutes of arguing with him, he told her he wanted our money back & she agreed. We drove up there & after sitting in line for 10 minutes we pulled up & the guy & the girl who were fooling around before, were behind the manager & giving mean looks & the manager was giving us the money & the guy yelled "where's their food" & the manager slammed the window & told them to leave and refunded the money. This is the 3rd incident for us. If corporate McDonald's had been in the car they'd pull the franchise. read more

Look, I know it's McDonald's. And I know it's fast food. I went in on a Monday morning and I experienced what I considered to be tremendously indifferent service from the staff. I placed my order and while talking to the woman working behind the counter, she walked away from me to go do other things. I was speaking to her and looked up to notice she was gone. She never spoke to me until my food was ready. I then had to ask for a reciept and told her that I was frustrated that I was talking to her while she walked away and ignored me. She then apologized while walking away. She never did ask what it was I was talking to her about nor seemed concerned at all to address my questions. She was obviously very busy with a large number of customers and perhaps short on staff. Clearly the message I recieved was the store has too many customers to handle the workload. I can certainly help reduce that by one. I'd like to be sympathetic to staff who are facing a large workload, but that large workload--including me--is what keeps you in business. I believe that if Ray Kroc had been alive today and had seen what transpired, he would have fired her on the spot and jumped behind the counter to take over himself. If I really am too much work for your company, I really can go someplace else for breakfast. And lunch. And dinner. And snacks. And every meal that I have the rest of my life. She missed a golden opportunity to make a positive impression on a Monday morning. She could have greeted me, helped me, paid attention to me, and made me feel important. And I very likely would make that a morning stop at least once a week--just because of the way someone can boost my day on Monday morning. But instead, I was treated like I don't matter and I'm a burden. That's the opposite effect that you should have on customers. So instead of thinking, "Hey the people at that McDonald's are really awesome! I feel great when I leave there!" -- I know think, "Boy, that McDonald's is run by losers. Stay away from those negative people!" To make matters worse, I reported this incident to their customer service/management contact information on the receipt. Tried to walk in but lobby was closed due to time of day. Went back into drive through and sat in line for over 15 min without moving before deciding to leave and eat what we got. Tried to give them another chance in the morning because one of my kids won't eat the hotel breakfast. Not any better. Waited for 25 min to get his food. Best of the best service I've ever had at a McDonald's! My family and I walked in Black Friday morning and were immediately greeted very pleasantly by a kind African-American lady! I wish we got her name! She was super patient and very quick and accurate with our many orders and very humorous with us as well! I admire her patience and her amazing work ethic! Then the manager came over and yelled at the cashier about a small computer error and as the manager turned his back to walk away he said the words "I'm going to beat your ass" loud enough that we could clearly hear. Just left this McDonald's drivethrough. After having to repeat our order several times in order to get it correct, they asked us to pull forward to wait. Then when they brought out the food there were 4 things missing that were clearly on the receipt. After an employee had to go back inside twice to complete the order he called us a "pain in the ass" as he walked away. This is the worst md I've been to. Chose the dine in option and entered my tent number. My food never came. Another customer had to inform me my food was ready, abandoned at the counter. I was not given my drink but had to grab it from behind the counter where there was nobody. I grabbed an extra one just to see if anyone would notice or pay any attention whatsoever. They did not. The staff, while ignoring me, was very loud and obnoxious towards each other. The place was a mess. I would say the staff is rude but then they never actually addressed me or my two young children. The food was sloppy and poorly constructed. The tables were messy... high chairs were dirty and sticky. Half way though eating an employee came and took the tent number but said nothing. I would strongly suggest NEVER eating here. As far as I can tell this is worse than any other McDonald's in the city. There should be a zero star option just for this location. read more
