Stopped here to use the restroom and get a bite to eat on our way back home from Austin. I've been here once before but went through the drive thru. I'm rating this location with 2 stars instead of 1 because I love the convenience of the automatic doors at the entrance/exit and that the restroom was decent. We pulled up around 3:15 and noticed the parking lot was empty and that there were no customers in the drive thru. I don't recall a time that I've ever been to a McDonald's and it not be busy. When we walked in, the first thing I saw were fries everywhere on the floor, trash on the tables and two of the employees posted up at the front counter having their own side conversation! So there was no reason the lobby should have looked the way it did. I thought to myself, if the lobby looked unkept, I was sure the restroom was going to be just as bad if not worse; I was surprised. The restroom was actually decent! No toilet paper on the floor; no trash running over in the receptacle. The way the lobby looked, made me give a hard pass on ordering anything to eat because it gave me the impression that the crew that worked here was lazy ‍ It was like seeing how someone keeps a very untidy home and then have the nerve to offer you something to eat; no thank you. read more

In less than a week I somehow visited both the best McDonalds I have ever been to outside Boston with the fireplace in the dining room and the worst McDonalds I have ever been to at this location outside Austin. It would make a fun point-to-point trip for novelty travel vloggers like Ian, you know the one Ian if you spend enough time online, "air conditioning outside!"-Ian, someone I would definitely be best friends with given our common interests in key lime pie and whimsy. These are two entirely separate worlds apart from the good one outside Boston and this awful one right here. I pulled off the road after a difficult work day in Austin on the way back into Houston for a refreshing frozen Coke. The best frozen Coke I ever had was in Orlando just a few weeks ago, they mixed both the vanilla coke and cherry coke flavours as a secret (well, less-secret-now) VIP favour to me in Disney Springs. I wanted to re-live that experience or at least get as near as possible to it for refreshment you can find close to the highway between Austin and Houston. I moseyed on in to order in the store since outside Boston I found a fireplace in the dining room at that McDonalds. What would I find here outside Austin, maybe a banjo? A steer that they are supposed to be famous for around here? A drag queen that got sidetracked whilst getting dressed that morning and left the house gussied up as Bing Bong (on a normal day, not Halloweekend) rather than in drag? Maybe something else? The sky is the limit on these possibilities once you find a fireplace in a McDonalds dining room, anything can happen in a dining room now. I ordered my frozen coke and paid. I waited for my order. I had already ordered and paid, mind you. Then the guy comes out and tells me that the frozen coke machine is broken. Why did they let me order and pay for something they knew they did not have? I said ok, gimme the frozen Dr Pepper since we can't have everything but we can get close. He said that machine was broken, but somehow inexplicably they had the frozen blue one working. Da fuq? There is only one freezy drink machine, it is an unholy drink cloaca where all flavours come out of one hole like a Coke freestyle stand in Orlando, it is not separate holes for each beverage like Club Cool in Epcot. I accepted the blue thing I did not want since I had already ordered and paid and the traffic was only getting worse on the road so I wanted to get back on the road to Houston. I was presented with a blue thing that was like 75% filled. It tasted and smelled like it had been mixed with Sam Vimes' dirty boots and rubber cement. It was dreadful. I am a certified hater (see my one star reviews from the particularly spicy years of 2011-2016) so I actually WOULD wish this on my worst enemy, but not myself. Pretty sure I got food poisoning- was the last thing I ate before 24 hours of severe issues :( Unfortunately I don't have anything positive to say about this McDs location ... the drive through line was backed up so far and every step of the process was dragged out . I regretted coming here, but really needed my roadtrip fry - fix . By the time I thought I should give up , I was too far into the drive through line . food is never fresh and hot, the burgers are never put together it's just all the ingredients in a box, staff is very slow. got the bacon caesar mc crispy and the food was like gummy and chewy and weird pieces. read more

I've had one of the most unprofessional and racist drive-thru experiences I've ever had here. When I pulled up, the employee made a sarcastic comment about my vehicle and questioned why I expect to be served. When I asked her to repeat what she said, she immediately backtracked and went silent. At that point, I felt uncomfortable and concerned about the safety of my food. When I calmly said I would leave and write a review instead, the employee leaned out of the window and mockingly said she would read it. This was not a misunderstanding. It was a hostile attitude and a complete lack of basic customer service. I don't care what someone drives. I don't care who they are. I care about being treated with respect and professionalism when ordering food. Management seriously needs to retrain staff or review who they put on customer-facing shifts. This interaction alone guarantees I won't be stopping here again. I do not need racial abusive remarks thrown at me just because of what I'm driving. This is sociopathy. read more

This is a 2 Star McDonalds. The dining area was clean but the staff and the manager have no appreciation for customers. There were two people ahead of us when we arrived and placed our order. 30 minutes later we received our food. Cold fries and not a single burger had tomatoes on it as ordered. I stood at the counter and was looked at and ignored for several minutes just to request some bbq sauce. As you can see in my pic, nine people are waiting as well and there were more. All ordered after we did. People were upset and running out of patience. I doubt we will be stopping here again as there are other local choices. read more

We stopped going to McDonald's years ago but due to injury I've been house bound for roughly a month. During this time I've ordered from this McDonald's, through their delivery app twice now. Both times Door Dash did the delivery and both times the restaurant forgot 2 double cheese burgers and 2 large fries. They don't allow the Dashers to check the order for accuracy, so when it arrived I opened it in front of the delivery person and sure enough she agreed and witnessed they were missing again just like last time. I thought she was going to cry. I called McDs just to be tossed into voicemail and LMTC. You then get the pleasure of trying to get a hold of someone at Door Dash in India and they tell you to go to customer service online and hang up on you. The process of filing a claim over $8 of food absolutely sucks and so does this McDonald's for not returning my call and making me go through this after making the same exact mistake again a month later. I doubt I'll use either company any time soon. read more

Just can't seem to ever get it right. I ordered the LT special edition gold crispy and they messed the whole thing up. There was no bacon on it and had little to no sauce AND the chicken was supposed to be a normal patty but it was spicy. Everything was wrong about it. My son ordered a six piece kids meal and that was okay but they forgot both my sauce and my sons. Just always messing up at this location constantly, the only reason I come back is for my kids. Dining room locked at 5 PM. No access to restrooms. Asked to pull forward at drive-through and then had to wait 15 minutes for nuggets and fries. If you really love McDonald's food, and especially if you don't, avoid this place at all costs. Floors slick with grease, dirty tables, air conditioners that drip on tables, and slovenly staff (my apologies to actual sloths, who would outlap these people.) If this is in the customer area, can you imagine the conditions behind the scenes, where the food is prepared? Eeks! And I shudder at the thought of the restrooms, especially since this restaurant is on a highway. I wasn't brave enough to enter what I can only imagine would be a challenge worthy of Indiana Jones. If you want breakfast, go across the road to Weikel's. They have more than just their absolutely heavenly kolaches. Have a cottage cheese one for me. If you want lunch, go to Reba's. Their best pizza is The Pesto. Trust me. Great variety of other choices, too. For dinner, try Las Fuentes. With at least one margarita, of course. read more

Went here today and ate inside. We usually use drive thru. After seeing all the negative reviews I decided to share my experience. Order was prepared correctly and efficiently. Place was clean. Manager was very helpful with to go order as well. Not sure why so many bad reviews. Beats the other McDonald's in this area hands down. read more

So you're driving back from Austin to Houston from a daytrip and it occurs to you that you're kind of in the middle of nowhere (apologies to LaGrange folks), need to take a leak, getting kind of hungry, need to download a podcast since your wireless data is spotty and can't sustain a stream, and could use a drink. Follow the golden arches my friend and they will give you food that's pretty much like every other McDonald's (take that as you will) and amazingly enough, their wifi works out there. Pro Tip: getting out of the parking lot is weird. If you follow the street parallel to the freeway, you'll go off road. Best to turn around the same way you came in. Went thru the drive thru and the customer in front of me and the employee taking orders got into an argument and were yelling and cussing at the drive thru where you order and the customer drove off. I ordered a vanilla latte and paid. Took forever only to be told at the pick up window they weren't making any lattes. I asked for refund and they told me to pull up and wait they'd bring my refund out which took another 5-10min. I think they need some new management based on past reviews here. read more

Wow!! The worst service ever. In fact, there is no service because all of it is based on kiosks. This poor old man that can't see and barely walk was REFUSED service. The manager told me he didn't care if I got an order in and if I left. All tables were full with people with numbers waiting on their food. The managers of this restaurant need to appreciate that they have a newly remodeled store and take care of it. This store is consistently filthy and the night manager rushes to the door closing it on customers to detour them from coming inside. He'll lock the door if he notices a customer drive up way before closing and get mad if they want to come in and order, telling them "how far he has to drive to get home." As well, the employees never get orders correct and have terrible attitudes when they have to wait on customers. It's not that difficult to hold the ketchup or go light on the mayo. Stopped by to go to restroom and get a drink. It was 3:30 on a Tuesday. The doors were locked and it was dark inside. The drive thru appeared to be open with a very long line. I left. This happened to me a couple of years ago at same location. I went through drive through and their coffee drinks were completely unavailable. Whoever is managing this McDonald's does not have a clue.
