Even when they're busy it never takes long to get my food and it's always been correct. I'm one of those people that adds extra things like extra sauce or syrup or even adding lettuce to a sandwich. I dont think they should be charging to add lettuce to a sandwich though. A fee for extra sauce i can understand but lettuce? It's basically crunchy water. read more

I have given this location far more chances than they deserve. I am quite sure that my order has never been correct when I leave the drive-thru. - Literally... never. And they charge you extra for additional toppings (I.e. Oreos on a McFlurry), but NEVER give you extra. Not to mention the PAINFULLY slow service... and staff who look absolutely miserable to be working there. It's close to home, but I'm giving up. This place blows. It's McDonald's. Let's get that straight first. Not Caviar and Bananas, Toast, pr any other brunch place. Just your standby. This location, right off Central Ave in Knightsville, was perfectly clean. We ordered from the kiosk and went straight to the playplace. Playplace was well appointed and everything was working. It is very large, bright, and cheerful. Very clean. Food: hot cakes for the kids and a Diet Coke for me. Exactly what was expected. read more

During a move to South Carolina the timing for house purchase and moving van did not coincide. We spent several days going to McDonald's with three kids six and under. The employees were very welcoming and helpful. The food was good and the kids loved the well cared for and clean play area. Thank you for making a bad situation much better. read more

THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY!! Okay, it was only 2cents but that's not the point. I went through the drive-thru and my total was $6.83. I paid with cash (a $10 bill) so my change was $3.17. When I was given $3.15, I said, "my change is $3.17, not $3.15." to which I was told "we don't do pennies." . Not my problem! I find myself in need of a good burger or chicken nuggets many times during the day and night and this McDonald's always seems to satisfy. The location is clean and the service is always friendly. It's only a McDonald's but I swear the customer service at fast food restaurants in Summerville is SOMUCHBETTER than anywhere else! I work right across the street and sometimes pick up a quick breakfast if I'm running early (we're talking 6:30am, people) and every time the employees are smiling, friendly, fast, and accurate. The egg & cheese breakfast biscuits are soo good! They participate in McTeacher's night annually (I got to work the ice cream machine once!), and I just remember how welcoming and organized it was. Went by to get a frappe, waited in line 30 mins before we got to order, watched a lady run over a curb, didn't even get to the speaker when they asked for my order, so I had to hang out the window and yell it, recognized the guy at the first window,he played on my baseball team,waited 5 mins before taking my cash, and at the second window, we waited for 10 mins, she tried to give us someone else's food so we sped off at 55 mph with the wrong food and no frappe, and then my grandson choked on the drink that came with the meal. We paid $4.03 for two happy meals and a burger and fries. The people behind us paid $30 for a frappe. read more

I know it's hard to write a "good" review on McDonald's, but I NEED to write a review on this one. The sad thing is, I have never once gotten food from this location. The reason: I have never been able to have my order taken in less than 15 minutes, resulting on my leaving each and every time. That's at least 5 times that this has happened. I absolutely refuse to wait 15 minutes to have my order taken at a FAST FOOD restaurant. Horrible, horrible service for a restaurant that already has questionable food. read more

I'm addicted to the pineapple mango smoothie! They use frozen fruit to make their smoothies, seems like a no brainer, but actually most chains like Bigby and Panera use powder for their smoothies. There is an inevitable taste, texture and sweet quality difference. I do like MCD egg and cheese on a biscuit in the am - never felt ripped off and starved for ordering a meatless breakfast item from here. read more

Is it really that hard to make crispy fresh cooked french fries. Because I'm not sure anybody at this McDonald's knows how to cook fries properly or change the oil frequently. I don't ever do reviews especially bad ones and this isn't about the McDonald's on central ave as a whole. The girl handing the orders at the second window around 9pm treated me as if I was an idiot. I suffer from chronic migraines so I didn't make it a big deal but you should get everything you pay for and I spent $32+ and the 2 things in question were the #9 and Happy meal. I never received my drink and I told her that while still waiting on the happy meal bc she had handed me 2 bags and then looked at me like What? So I said oh we are still waiting on a Dr Pepper (she didn't let me finish) said the chocolate milk replaced your drink! She looked up for a sec but not long enough to check our order then I said also we are missing our happy meal. She looked at the food waiting and handed me the happy meal. She said it's all there now but clearly I was missing the drink which I needed bc I was suffering from a migraine and needed to take excedrin but I was in too much pain to argue, my kids were saying she was wrong but I said it's fine I'll just go to spinx. Just next time she should put in a little bit of effort to check it out and be kind. read more

Food is only Ok (the fries were really bad this trip) but the indoor playground is kept clean and the kids see it as a treat. The employees here are some of the nicest fast food employees you'll find, although many if them are relatively unexperienced high schoolers. read more
