Still My Favorite McDonald's -- But Today Was Off This is one of my favorite McDonald's locations! The food is always fresh, the service is quick, and the staff usually gets everything right. I stop by often, especially now that the Monopoly game is back -- I love collecting those pieces and have already won quite a few free food items this round! But today was different. I ordered eight Monopoly-eligible items and not a single one had a peel-off sticker. No digital game pieces either. When I asked about it, I was told the game is still going, but they "don't have the packaging." Sorry, but that's not cool when the promo is in full swing! Still, I have to give credit where it's due -- the food was great as always, and this remains the best McDonald's in my area. The food is McDonald's. The service was bad. But only because all of the kiosks were out of order but one. And the one that wasn't out of order didn't accept a card. And when I GOT IN LINE to the cash register. No one came to us. I don't blame the employees. I blame the system. There is never a person at the cash register to take orders or to correct orders that were filled incorrectly. I've spent 45 minutes waiting for someone to come and correct my order because McDonald's is too terrible to pay someone to stand up front and do so. And btw the ambiance is terrible. This McDonald's was a mess yesterday. The place was gross inside, the fries, burger, and apple pie were cold. The teenagers working there couldn't care less about their jobs. They didn't get the order right and to top it off my son had to stay home sick today with stomach problems. I should have known better. $30 for a fast food nightmare for 3. Burgers are typical for McDs but lately my large fry orders have been delivered more like a medium fry and it seems to have become there habit now. Not happy! Customer service is hit and miss. Sometimes it's great but not today. Drive thru workers did not seem to care. I know fast food restaurants are not hot jobs but at least hire people w/ some sense of pride in their work. read more

This is the worst McDonald's ever yesterday I went through the drive thru and I was orders and I was interrupted and told to pull up and I politely said ma'am I'm not finished and the person said than keep talking and I decided to let it go until I got to my destination and looked at my buttermilk's crispy chicken biscuit and the biscuit was stone hard and I couldn't even eat it so I called and asked to talk to a manger which her name was Victoria and I told her about my biscuit and my rude drive thru vist and she told me to come and get a new one the next day so today is the day thinking they would really make sure my biscuit is good this time and the picture I posted is what it looked like the biscuit wasn't even together like why can't they get themselves together ! when I went through the drive-through I asked for extra ranch and the employee told me do ask at the window so before I paid for my meal, I asked for extra ranch and another employee said I should ask at the next window if I don't want to pay for it. When I went to the next window to pick up my food I asked for extra ranch like the other two employees told me to she told me "to be honest, i don't wanna go and get it". like please karen the other workers told me to ask here and i'm not going to wait for the non lazy employee. next, i ordered a shamrock oreo mcflurry. she gave me a shamrock shake and i told her politely "this isn't what i ordered. i had the oreo one". and showed her my receipt. she got mad at me for her messing up my order and told me "just keep it " and i had to wait 5 minutes for a shamrock oreo mcflurry that wasn't mixed after having the window slammed in my face. i know mcdonald's had their ups and downs but i've never experienced such bad customer service. read more

I'm basing this review totally on the customer service at this location. Me and the couple friends I was with (on our way to Hollywilds) made a stop here since one of my friends was in dire need of caffeine as well as this probably being the last time we could use a bathroom before our trip to Hollywilds. We just picked up various forms of iced coffee and was drinking our products outside. I finished my product and wanted to throw up my cup and noticed a trash receptacle nearby (note - not a trash can). My friends were already in the car ready to go and I went to ask the two workers outside if I could use the receptacle since it was not technically a trash can. The one worker seeing my friends were ready to leave had offered to take my trash for me. Never thought I would get this kind of customer service from McDonalds! read more

Every tIme I go to this McDonald's my food is never fresh. I've only ever had one burger from this location that actually tasted fresh. The patties are always dried out and taste like they sat there way past time for them to toss those out and make new ones. I've specifically asked for my food to be made fresh before since it never is and I still got a dried out crusty patty. McDonald's is one of my favorite fast food restaurants but the food quality at this location is a huge let down. The staff is nice which is always good, but when I order food I'm paying for fresh tasty food, not McDonald's customer service. I've worked in a restaurant that would kick you off of grill if you let patties sit too long. Me and my girlfriend got lunch here on Christmas and we both got too sick to actually enjoy Christmas or do anything. If food quality was controlled I'm sure that this review would be 5 stars (Including customer service) but the food isn't fresh enough to eat here so I didn't account for service in the star-rating of this review read more

The workers didn't welcome us as we walked up to the register and they just stood there waiting for us to order. It was pretty uncomfortable, because at other fast food places you're usually welcomed when you walk in or at least at the register. My best friend and I ordered a McDouble meal, but she added tomato on hers. When the employees handed out the food, they got snappy at each other and then asked my best friend if she got the one with tomato on it. I've lived in Inman for over 15 years, so I have quite a bit of experience with this particular McDonald's. The customer service is hit or miss, however the customer service during weekday mornings is usually pretty consistently quick, and as friendly as it can be for a fast food restaurant. My one star rating as of this review is based solely on my experience using the drive thru for breakfast this morning, 08/02/2015. Unfortunately the quick and friendly service which is usual during weekday mornings as mentioned above, is pretty much nonexistent during the weekend. Service. Regarding my experience today, service through the drive thru was poor. I got in line to order at 9:07am and didn't even get to the speaker until 09:13am (6 minutes). After placing my order, I arrived at the first window at 09:20 (7 minutes) to pay for my order. Things escalated a fraction after that point, and I was at the pickup window by 09:24 (4 minutes). At this point, I had been in line for 17 minutes. I hadn't ordered much food, and the bag was presented as they handed the first of two drinks out the window. I took the bag, and asked for a drink carrier, as I was alone, at which point I was told they were out; frustrating but not the end of the world. After a total of about 60 seconds at the pickup window, I was on my way home, altogether spending 18 minutes from start to finish. Throughout this time, I interacted with two individuals. Neither was rude nor impolite however neither was overly friendly. Perhaps my expectation is a bit much, but a little extra friendliness can assuage a poor situation when something is preventing quick service. Quality. The order consisted of a steak,egg, and cheese bagel value meal with a large unsweet tea, a bacon,egg, and cheese McGriddle, one sausage biscuit, two oatmeal cups, and a large ice water. Overall the food was good with the exception of the bagel sandwich, which had apparently been prepared for sacrificial worship rather than consumption since the bagel was burned to a blackened crisp on both sides, and then served as a sandwich by mistake. I consumed the burnt offering, only because I was hungry with no other options at the time, while regretting that I had wasted money on the sandwich. The hash browns were not overcooked, but were bitter as though the shortening had reached its ultimate cooking life, or at a minimum needed to be cleaned/filtered. Value. The overall value was questionable when paired with the quality of the sandwich received, the bitter hash browns, and the overall service time of 18 minutes. Once again, I went to this McDonalds since I LOVE sweet tea and it's close to my office. Problem is: MOST of the time either the sweet tea isn't sweet (at all) OR it's sour. This last experience I ordered two teas. (I now taste them before I leave the window because the track record is so bad.) One was sweet and the other UNSWEET so I told the lady that seemed angry that I had an issue (like I was pleased) and turned around tasted the tea and refilled the cup and gave it back to me again, UNSWEET... I told her again, this went on THREE times over the same glass I swear once she even handed me the same cup and changed nothing. This morning, against my better judgement, I stopped again and tasted the tea before leaving the drive thru it was barely sweet but I didnt have the time to deal with it again... and on top of it the "employees" thought this was funny and they were rude about it... McDonalds has launched this HUGE campaign about their tea... At least make it consistent... and if you cant then be APOLOGETIC and FIX the problem without the unnecessary rudeness to the customer.. This is the best McDonalds you will find. Service is excellent. I would suggest checking your order before you leave for accuracy though.
