Pretty cut and dry...it's a McDonald's. Sometimes dry as a bone and sometimes juicy and good. Their service has proved.over the last few months. I still try and limit myself to a couple visits a month. But I think they have had an ownership change a year or so ago. And it certainly did change the seemingly effortless, unempathetic costumer interactions many of these type of restaurants employees fall into often enough. I know it is only McDonald's, but there are many who would feel blessed to have just that opportunity. That would be something I'd like to see taught both individually and as a whole from not just This location, but in other McDonald's and in other food service businesses as well. Always has large drinks for $1...and they have the best sweet tea... I would also like to see a return to the super fine grain McDonald's salt, anyone over 16 or so can certainly remember their salt packets. read more

I know it's a McDonald's and you should have zero expectations, yet however they even fail to meet the lowest bar I could event set. I get that it's a bunch of high schoolers, or younger, working there because their parents are probably making them, but maybe we should hire a few "adults". Anyway, every time I go through the drive through I'm asked to pull to a spot and wait...for a burger....from McDonald's, how is that not ready at a FAST food place known for burgers. Finally, even when I get my food it can be incorrect, and there's no point to even point it out because then they'll try to explain to you that you're wrong and they got the order right, even though I'm the one who ordered it. I will continue to go to this location to save gas, but I will make sure to mark off 30-45 minutes on my calendar to wait for food...at a FAST food place. This McDonalds near the independance police dept. is TRASH and that is something I thought I would never say about a McDonalds. I asked for a regular plain burger with light ketchup... My burger had onions, pickles, and the ketchup was EXTREMELY LIGHT, I think they took it to seriously when I said light ketchup. It could be bad luck, or a coincidence, but every time I go to this location, I'm missing something from my order. Today I paid $7 for a sausage egg and cheese McGriddle and a hash brown. The hash brown was cold and I didn't have sausage on my sandwich. I live in Independence, so the location is close, but there isn't too much good I can say about this McDonalds. One morning I went through the drive thru and ordered a sweet tea. When I got to the window there was no one in sight. Finally someone walked out the door and took the trash to the dumpster. She saw me waiting and then when she came back in she came to window. Not another worker in sight??? Other complaints: - I agree with another review... I've gotten cold fries on several occasions. - Sweet tea is inconsistent... sometimes its sweet, sometimes its not - My order has been messed up more than once and I usually don't realize it until I get home. Went through the drive thru, placed an order. It was specific, I ordered two mcdoubles with only mac sauce and shredded lettuce, expecting a sandwich with only cheese, mac sauce, and shredded lettuce. Upon opening the sandwich, it had ketchup, mustard, onions, pickles, mac sauce, and the lettuce. Absolutely repulsing. Another item placed in the order was an artisan grilled chicken sandwich. There was an absurd amount of vinaigrette, as well as an old tomato which was soggy and sour. The fries came hot, however they were completely unsalted. The two drinks ordered are fine. Went to this McDonald's for breakfast. Same very poor service as usual. It certainly wasn't fast, but at least it was hot. I'm pretty sure there are at least a few health code violations at this place. Most of the tables are dirty and the drink station is a mess. That's just normal for this place. It seemed that everyone behind the counter was content ignoring the coffee burning in the pot left nearly empty (I mean, how much effort does it take to move the pot someplace else rather than letting it burn). The thing that really gets me is there are fries on the floor against the wall. It's at least an hour before they start serving lunch, so they have to have been left from last night, gross! This McDonald's is the worst. I don't expect AMAZING food and service from any fast food place, but I at least expect that they'll get your order right some of the time. We've gone through the drive-through several times and they get our order wrong literally everytime. I usually don't bother with going in since you normally use the drive through because you're in a hurry, but I have turned around a handful of times. You never get any apologies for the inconvenience and today the manager got snotty about having to correct my order after I pointed out that this happens every time we go. Been to this location about 3 times.. Everytime it has been a big dissapointment. The "kids" (workers) don't care about what you order or the quality of your food. The Fries always arrive completely not fresh. (luke warm if your lucky). Heck I've even received cold coffee from this place. Wouldn't recommend to my dog and will not return. For me to give a one star review after working fast food during school is a big deal, because I'm often more understanding about the situations that fast food workers are put in. However, this store is consistently bad and has been for years. The wait times are always over 5 minutes (I've worked at McD and nothing I order ever has a cook time over 2.5 minutes...), the food is often wrong or cold, the interior is always disgusting even when there is no rush, and it seems like they have to close down part or all of the restaurant due to call-offs at least once a month. If this store is franchised, I think it might be time for corporate to take it over. The last time I remember this McDonald's being well-run was when I was in high school 15 years ago! read more

This is by far the worst customer service of any place I have ever been. Restaurant or any place, worst service. They consistently get your order wrong . Something wrong every time I go there . They are slow and then get your order wrong. They need some serious training in how to run a fast food restaurant . Easily the worst McDonalds around. I guess because of the high school it stays open. There is always a line around for drive thru, but the wait is guaranteed to be 5 minutes per car. They mess up 9/10 orders when I go through. I stopped eating there about 8 months, today I thought I would try it again. 4th car from order speaker I drive thru and it took 22 minutes to be pulling away. I don't see how this restaurant is open.. I live close by and since I've lived here i always have issues with this restaurant. Drive thru takes forever. They can never get an order right . And a few of the cashiers are very unfriendly. But tonight beats it all. I went thru the drive thru placed my order. Get to the window to pay and I am told they don't have any apple pies. If I wanted them it would be a 12 minute wait. I told them I'd wait . No biggie. I go too the 2nd window they hand me my food n drinks. Ask me to pull forward for my apple pies. Ok...
