This restaurant is showing signs of wear and tear. We were in there two weeks ago and a lot of the bench seating was ripped or missing.
The upstairs seating area is dark and dingy and the windows have not seen a cleaner in years by the look of them.
They have always had a problem with people vandalising the toilets and they had them locked for a long time (you had to get a code from the till) but they've dropped that now. They are adequate I guess, but not particularly clean and the tap is merely a trickle making it very difficult to wash your hands in the 'in wall' sinks they have.
Staff are efficient though and the queues go quickly.
The TVs and free wireless connection are good additions but the TV is difficult to appreciate when it is busy (and noisy) in there. At breakfast time though, it is lovely to sit and have a cup of coffee while catching up on the news.
Overall, good service (especially form the cleaning staff; they are alwasy friendly and helpful) but the seating/decor is long due an overhaul. read more
