Sausage and Egg McMuffin, now offered on the all day breakfast.

Honestly, I have always been a fan of McDonalds. Especially now since they are serving breakfast all day. I mean, how many times have you ever pulled an Adam Sandler, and was running just a few minutes behind schedule? I definitely have. This location is clean, they rarely get orders wrong, and most of the time they are courteous. Should you expect a fine dining experience? Absolutely not, but you can get 20 nuggets for $5.00 here. Just think of the possibilities. Need to bring pot luck to work? Get 100 nuggets for $25.00 and viola you have fed probably your entire office building. They have a dollar menu, and now are currently selling all drinks for $1.00. If you are expecting something spectacular, why in the world would you stop at a McDonalds, but if you want a hot cup of coffee, I can almost guarantee you that it will be hot ;). The staff is majority of the time extremely courteous, especially late at night when they aren't too busy and can actually have a conversation with you. I do order my cheeseburgers, and mcdoubles all plain with just meat and cheese, so my burgers are always fresh, and cheese nicely melted. The perks of preferring a plain burger i suppose. The grilled chicken snack wrap is also great, and they cook it fresh most of the time since its grilled chicken, just make sure its done before you take a bite. I have had a questionable wrap that I threw out a few years ago, but regardless that was one out of maybe 300 I have eaten.

Quick service at the drive through but the food left a lot to be desired even for McDonalds standards. The cheeseburger (hold the pickles) was only warm and the fries were underdone. The bottle of water was perfect.

Worst McDonald's in Alabama. Food is always cold and buns crumble. I cannot understand it.

I walked in a little past 1pm, having studied the chalkboard outside with a delightful-sounding selection of spring specials. As I'm ordering, the barista and I alike see another group walk in. And another. And another-- I'm not seeing anyone else in the rather small physical establishment, and as a former barista am beginning to sweat a bit for this Greenroom employee and all of the orders he is about to have to deal with, seemingly by himself (cue the cheerful chime announcing more customers, and more customers). As I wait for my order, grateful to be the first in this long line, I sit to casually read a book and take my opportunity to observe my fellow patrons of this fine little spot. I hear the barista asking customers if they're okay with waiting, and he begins to ask customers if they're okay with waiting a minute for their orders. I'm content, as I have no urgent arrangements, and the now plastic-gloved barista comes up to me, informing me that they have no lime to garnish the avocado toast I've ordered and asking if that was okay. I assert as much and he returns to the line; I think to myself that he could have saved the time and not told me and I wouldn't have known the difference, but I'm pleased with his attention to detail. I get my to-go box of avocado toast with an egg and am pleased to open it and try a bite. I feel that it could have done with red pepper flakes (my favorite), but the everything bagel seasoning added a nice texture and the overall flavor profile was delightfully savory. As for my drink, which came later, it was the Good Riddance: a vanilla cold brew with lime pie cold foam (which lived up to the name tremendously). It also had what I believe to be graham cracker or pie crust crumbles on the top that were delightful! The drink was delicious and perfect for the spring weather. I sit upstairs as I always do, but specifically on the patio where I can see all of MidCity and the surrounding businesses. There's nonintrusive and enjoyable music presumably coming from the Camp itself? After an hour or so of enjoying my spoils, I return to the counter below to see if the barista is still there now that the rush is over. He is now accompanied by another coworker, blessedly, and I learn that his name is Caleb. We chat for a few moments and I introduce myself before leaving, but not before taking another picture of all the event calendars for the week and month. Now I'm positively fueled for my afternoon and grateful for the relaxed atmosphere. (Thanks for reading this far if you did, and shoutout again to Caleb for doing his job tremendously! He informed me that he enjoys a good rush of customers, and I replied that I would have cried to have been in the situation that he handled with great poise and dedication. The great service alongside the excellent product left me wanting to return quickly!)

I have not had a strawberry cake or cupcake in all my travels that can rival Edgar's strawberry cake. I challenge you to. The employees were nice and exhibited the Southern charm you'd expect. The dining tables are lined up against the windows and extend into the middle of the space. The rest of the interior space is occupied by various tables and stands of baked goods and treats. This visit was my first time ever having food. I ordered the bacon omelet with grits and toast. It was fine, nothing spectacular. It was good enough for me to eat there again but nothing that I'd say you have to go out and get. If you haven't tried the strawberry cake or strawberry cupcake, you HAVE TO- MUST- stop in and try one or both of them.

They had really nice branding and the drinks looked good, but they almost never seem to post their schedule in advance so it's been hard for me to track them down. Even though it was evening time, I couldn't miss my opportunity to try them when they were so convenient! They have standard coffee drinks, chai, lemonade, a few fizzy energy drinks, etc. -- pretty typical roster for the more hip/modern quick service coffee stops (or trucks, as the case may be!). There's maybe one or two seasonal specialties but it's mostly choose your style of drink + add flavors if you want. As such, I chose a small iced latte with mocha and hazelnut flavor pumps. This tends to be a reliable winner for me when there's not a specialty drink I want to try. They don't have a huge variety of flavors but certainly enough that most people should be able to find something that works. I grabbed an iced chai and a lemonade for some coworkers too. :) Pricing is about as I'd expect. The service was nice! The truck is really high off the ground so I had to reach because I'm short lol. The barista/employee was very pleasant and made our drinks quickly. I enjoyed my drink! Idk if this'll be read like the compliment I intend it to be, but my drink reminded me of my ideal Dunkin experience -- and I like Dunkin! Slightly thinner consistency than your average latte, a little on the sweet side, flavors not crazy complex or nuanced but just enjoyably sweet and nutty. Would drink again! My coworkers also had nice things to say about their refreshers. Glad I finally got a chance to try them!
