I would do less than one star if the system would let me. I used the app to order and pick up. I ordered and paid for two each of the apple and strawberry pies. I received one each. I ordered multiple drinks and a bag of food and had to request that they give me a carrier. We ate indoors the day prior. The lady delivering the food to the table was working on English as a second language so it was difficult to tell her what we needed in the way of condiments. We were traveling and only in town for a couple of days. I was amazed at how much more expensive the menu is here.....plus if getting it to go, you get shorted on some of your food. We were just passing through, but it was a good experience overall. Plenty of seating, including individual booths and a tall table. All ordering was done through the four touch-screen kiosks. Food took a little while but came out hot. Ketchup pumps were not working, but ketchup packets were available upon request. They didn't have hot water available, but we were able to buy this from the adjoining gas station (pay for coffee, but just get the hot water). Best part though. An employee, seeing that our family had two small kids, brought a couple extra Happy Meal toys over. And instead of just handing them to the children--which I would not have welcomed--he asked me if it was okay to give them to us. So that was both super friendly and respectful. read more

6-4-22 8:30 AM Saturday Came here this morning for a quick breakfast as I was hungry. Now I know a lot has changed with McDonald's but their breakfast separates them from everyone else. I had the big breakfast meal with scrambled eggs, sausage patty, hash brown and biscuit. The cherry on top for me is the hot tea with fresh lemon. In fact the lady at the counter even gave me two fresh cut slices into my hot water. It is heavenly with their own Orange Pekoe blend label. McDonald's keep up the great breakfast. So why not a perfect 5? The drive thru is backed up and the second drive thru lane closed with an orange cone. French fries were not hot, sandwich was not correct, and both had clearly been sitting there for some time. There was water on the floor at the counter which appeared to be from the bathroom. Tried the crispy chicken sandwhich today and asked for no pickles so they just took then off the sandwich instead of giving me q sandwich that did not have pickles. Help!! I have never had a more disgusting experience in any business. I travel often to Hilton head from Savannah... I made the mistake of stopping at this McDonald's. They only have the electronic machine to place an order. I did that and took advantage of their two for one cheeseburgers deal. My number was 913 when they called the orders they don't use numbers they say double burger with fries and so I went up and got, what I thought was my order and when I sat down, I realized there was only one burger? I politely asked the lady I think she must've been the manager and said where's my other burger? I said is that the 913 order and she said yes and immediately got hostile. I told her I was not satisfied, expecting her to simply give me another cheeseburger, but it wasn't that easy and so I just told her I would like my money back. I politely told her I was not satisfied, and she told one of her coworkers to call 911? so 913 turned into a 911? I kind of think it's funny but at age 66 I will never in my life ever ever ever EVER!!! go into any McDonald's anywhere in the United States. I have always preferred. Very rude and nasty staff. Pulled up to the drive thru on 1/27/24 at 7:08pm. Heard a message asking if I wanted to use my reward points and I said no. Then I asked to order a vanilla shake and it was dead silent for a couple minutes. The drive thru member proceeds to process other people in the drive thru and completely ignoring me. After asking again, the lady just said "it's crossed off the board." Very rude. I was confused and she said said the same thing again. I noticed, very tiny and small on the screen, the word "shakes" was crossed off. 1. No on will see that being crossed off so small and 2. Even if you did see it, it does not explain anything. I'd rather the team say upfront what's not available instead of having this very nasty interaction with a team member and a customer. I try to give credit to the good fast food places and try to make note when its not so good. We were driving through South Carolina and had tried to stop at 2 other McD's in South Carolina and the lines were long and not moving. This 3rd try and getting breakfast the line wasn't so long and we had no choice but to wait, we were hungry. But the line didn't move. and when it did move it would move one car then sit 5-10 minutes again. rough. We did finally get an order in and went to the window. I had my McDonald's app and handed the guy the scan thing for a couple bucks off. The poor guy they put in the window really didn't seem to understand. he looked at it a few times then looked at his register a few times. Then said you got points. I explained its for 2 dollars off and he seemed confused. I gave in and told him no worries. The food was classic McD's good otherwise though, and we got everything we wanted. The first time I had to wait forever before they even acknowledged me. Then they told me to wait. So I had to wait yet again before I ordered. I only rate a McDonald's against other McDonald's because foodwise none of them would rate very well. This particular McDonald's appears to be a newer one. It's tied in with a gasoline station so it gets a lot of spinoff traffic from those who have stopped to fill up with gasoline which was the situation with me. For my snack like meal I ordered their fish filet sandwich which, and this is about the best I can say for it, tasted OK. On the plus side, the place is sparkling clean but on the negative side the staff is less than enthusiastic about what they are doing. My wife and I stopped by on our way home. I had a yen for a Big Mac. We went through the drive through line, made our order, but did not get an acknowledgment from the order taker. After waiting about two minutes and with cars in line behind us, we drove forward to the pay window where we were told that we had no order. When we said we had just ordered, the representative was adamant that there was no order, and to go to the other drive through line. This McDonalds is tied together with a gas station. From the exterior it appears to be a new one. All my son wanted was a shake and of course a sandwich with being on the road all day. The dining room was spic and span clear. It was a newer floor plan and worked for me. Ordered our food and the clerk was very nice. I was told all ice-cream and smoothies were closed. This was a big disappointment. Food ordered and when coming out it was a mistake. They refunded my sandwich which was easy by the manager. My son's chicken sandwich had some pink in it. The food was hot - the drink refills aplenty. The staff was friendly. Orders were correct. Bathroom was clean. What more can you ask for from Mickey D's? So I did notice the Go-gurts were warm, but we attributed that to being in a sealed box (Happy Meal) with hot food...they were replaced, no problem.
