The decor gives you the same feeling a cup of coffee gives you. Their fall menu is currently out and I've been so pleased with it. I tried the Pecan Pie Matcha last week and I found it was the perfect balance of matcha and sweetness. Today I tried the Pecan Pie Latte ice and it was great. I've found in the past that the drinks have been hit or miss and seemed inconsistent but over the last few weeks I've had consistently good drinks. The staff was a breath of fresh air today-made a Monday not seem so Monday.

But today was the day! As soon as you show up, you know this isn't your typical coffee shop. The outside of the place looks like it could be an Inn in the neighborhood (which who knows maybe it was at one point.) The vibe inside gives off quiet workspace/library, and definitely gives off the lobby of an Inn (think Gilmore Girls.) There was some people scattered around but I didn't take a deep look inside since I was just passing by. I ordered my ice vanilla latte. The first thing I remember realizing was that it wasn't very sweet. Which is not a bad thing, sometimes they can be made really sweet other times they can be not so sweet. This latte was in the middle. I could taste the creaminess from the oat milk too. I would definitely check this place out again and try out some of their other drinks that they offer. I would even like to stay in and work inside and see more of the environment inside.

They have a variety of coffee and tea drinks to enjoy. For food, they carry delicious items from Camino Bakery. I enjoyed a very well made coffee and a spinach artichoke danish during a weekday lunch break. At one point in the past, they had a full working kitchen with a much bigger variety of cooked to order breakfast and lunch items. The friendly staff working today were unsure when this will be up and working again. Hopeful they will bring it back for some point. This is a perfect spot for a relaxing and pleasant morning or midday/afternoon work session. In addition, they sometimes host live music for a fun evening on their huge back patio and garden area. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

The parking lot was clear and allowed for easy access to the entrance. My sister wanted to drop in for her free birthday beverage. They were quite busy taking drive-thru orders but still gave us great service! The location is smaller and doesn't have seating. The bathrooms are to the left of the register when entering. They had some nice cake pop treats though, I did not indulge, I noticed they are featuring a Valentine's Day cake pop. There was a neat flower wall art, that could serve as a nice backdrop for pictures! Overall great experience here even despite not being an avid coffee drinker.

If I had gone through the drive-through, I do not feel that my wait time would have been that long. The store itself was clean and dimly lit. The person working the drive-through line made an announcement that they were shortstaffed, and they would have everybody's drinks out soon. This is literally the one thing that you don't have to heat up or prepare, and it still took 10 minutes. I will think twice before returning to this location in the morning time.

Now this place is on my radar and when I need coffee in Greensboro I will look for Common Grounds. Most other places were closed or closing at this time of night and consider ourselves so fortunate to have found this place. To me it is the essential Coffee House. It must cater to college age clientele, as observed that night. Grungy and edgy atmosphere with a beatnik vibe that night. Especially with the poetry reading and rotation of musicians doing the music of The Beatles and the 1960s. Which makes sense since it was Sir Paul McCartney's birthday that day. I felt like I time traveled decades back. The coffee that we got was excellent. I believe I got a standard cafe latte. Inviting coffee aromas. Housed in an building from an older error, in an immense space with multiple areas/nooks. Back area I did not spend time in but I could see there was a pool table back there with people just hanging out. Definitely seem like places where people could just be themselves whilst being warm and inviting to those near them. Felt welcoming to intellectualism and good discussions. Also felt like a place not to be rushed and just stay however long. Plenty of board and other games on site. Kind of limited parking in the lot right in front of the building. Parking on the avenue might be challenging? We were lucky to get a spot right by the front door in the parking lot. Close proximity to UNCG campus and other schools. I remember the vibes were pretty welcoming. I have gone once since then but during the day and the vibes were pretty chill and low-key but nothing too crazy. Just a typical experience but also a really good college outing memory. The matcha I had from there wasn't particularly my favorite but they used to keep their espresso machine up at night during the performance, I'm not completely sure if I remember correctly if they sold liquor or alcohol but the drink that I did have from there the first time I went was pretty good. The ambiance is pretty normal for greensboro, I feel like almost every establishment you walk in, there will be cracked floors but I just remember the staff was pretty awesome and as far as pastries, they had a pretty good variety and gluten free options and other food sensitivity options. I believe a few years ago, I recall an episode of "Catfish" where Nev and Max also visited this place so that was pretty interesting to experience that but honestly a pretty decent place.
