The food has always met my expectations. But the quality of service has gone downhill over the years. My kiosk orders seem to get lost a lot lately. Plus it takes longer to get my food these days even when there aren't that many customers. read more

2nd time here in the past 2 months. I pay with cash and each time they tell me they don't have change. I wound not leave until I received my change. They girl leave the window and comes back with change. Basically, if they are telling everyone this and people say ok. They are making a profit off everyone by not giving change. Think about what that adds up to, someone there is being shady, is it the owner, manager who? read more

Easy to find off the road they took my order well some of the workers have AirPods in at least the one that was taking are cash I didn't receive the right size drink the fry's were only slightly warm and my burger looked as if it was just thrown in the box read more

Where to start!! We ordered on the mobile app. Proceeded to the drive thru, we waited OVER 3o minutes and FINALLY they asked if we ordered on the app. We said yes, gave them the code, and the IGNORANT worker says oh we don't have a code for that, we told them the code again, they said its for another mcdonalds, we look, nope its for the mcdonalds on pontoon road. They proceed to tell us to cancel the order, after waiting 30 minutes. So, we left, I call inside to mcdonalds, and the IGNORANT, PATHETIC, HOODRAT lady that answered the phone, basically got ignorant with me and hung up on me, and took the phone off the hook. We will NEVER go back to that mcdonalds again. That lady is real lucky my wife wouldn't take me back or I would have drug that chick out of the drive thru window. She is horrible employee. I wish I knew her name thats for sure!! read more

For starters we pulled into an ice rink that was the parking lot. It did not appear that they have done anything to remove the snow. We waited well over 20 minutes to get our order and this is not the first time this has happened. The staff did not seam to move with any urgency. There were at least 3 employees that were doing nothing while I waited. I even had to wait because they didn't have my shake made. And when they did make my shake, it came out vanilla with a stripe of chocolate on the top and I was told it would taste like chocolate it did not. It was a vanilla shake. read more

This is disgusting this is singged! Im so tired of them not getting orders right. I work in food service it is not hard to follow orders and get them correct. The food this time was barely edible. Please do better! read more

McDonald's - Burger bun - Burgers Near Me - Granite City, Illinois

We waited so long for two burgers and fries, that the car behind us got their order and started honking at us! My sandwich was in the box upside down, everything was cold, despite a lengthy wait. Will not return there no matter what! Couldn't give less than one star. Also had a gift card that the worker didn't know what to do with it read more

I wish I could give zero stars. They're so rude, for as long as they take you'd expect the food to be fresh but it's not. old, burnt, stale food every time. read more

Horrible. Best word I can use to describe my visit. Just wanted to get some coffee and breakfast sandwich because we were running late that morning. Pulling up to the drive thru and I see 3 cars in 1 lane and it looks like 1 in the other and it appears to be pulling forword. I see the sign that says use any lane any time. So I pull into the empty lane only to find it blocked by cones. Drive back around the building to get in the other line that is now 5 cars long. After about 10 minutes we place our order which had neither coffee nor breakfast sandwiches because they had changed over to lunch read more

I am not going to ever say that McDonalds is the best. They have a purpose, if you need a quick bite, this is the place you can grab one. The building here is clean, as for the service, lacking even through drive through. However, this is not a service restaurant, it is to get you in quickly as possible, even though they don't most of the time and get you feed and out the door unless you dine in, then you can linger a bit, I get the feeling they want you to hang around eating and drinking, they offer plenty of TV's and free WI-FI. The food looks good most of the times, unless you get a special burger then it can be all over the place in the box they put it in. I don't eat the value menu beef or fries here. I only eat the fish, premium chicken or premium beef sandwiches. I ordered a double fish fillet here and it was good, I love it because they usually have to make it fresh and hot for me, so I don't mind the wait for that! They can be a bit slow because of the kids playing around while preparing your food and you have to double check all orders because they will get it wrong. The food always has a nice smell to eat, so they change the grease regularly. Taste is good, I never have had anything out of this McDonalds that had a bad taste to it. They do have the 2nd best coffee to me other than a coffee house which in Granite City, there are none. read more

this store is in need of people who know how and who want to cook ..its clear this store has checked out as well ..spend your money at the grocery store ..paying those folks only gives them the energy to cook poorly ...stay far from this place .. read more

Stephanie is definitely worth the time to go to McDonald's. Short staffed and she is working the window and bagging food. Still dancing and running around with a great attitude. Great job Stephanie read more

They can never get an order correct at this McDonalds. I order online and each time I get a Quarter pounder with no onion. Each time the receipt shows no onion and each time it has it. This time I heard her say "He always complains about getting onions." Then start making the meal right and there is no problem. While I waited 10 minutes two other people came in for missing food. I just settled for a 10 piece McNugget since they still hadn't dropped the QPC. Terrible service. read more

Why is your lobby closed at 6pm on a Sunday? This has happened multiple times now where your lobby is closed even though your posted hours suggest otherwise. Either correct your posted hours to reflect this or fix whatever staffing issue is causing you to close your lobby early. Also, your employees seem overworked and stressed out; they need to either be paid better or you need to have more employees on shift. Probably both. read more

So everytime I come here they only focus on the drive thru but never in the lobby and as I am unable to drive I must wait almost an hour just to get mediocre food. I have been late to several sports games and band performances due to the slow service. read more

I've been to a lot of McDonald's over the past 40+ years, but this one has to have the absolute worst customer service. Literally 6 people standing in line...AT LUNCHTIME with one EXTREMELY LAZY person taking orders, nonchalant like she didn't care at all...even flippant. The manager standing 5 feet away Doug nothing. Two other employees sorting sauces and doing menial tasks they should have done hours ago or not until everyone is served. The food was warm, not hot. And I had to practically beg for my cup to fill my own cup. Oh, and the pressure on the ketchup machine literally shot the paper cup out of my fingertips. read more

Wait times are unacceptable .. hours change a lot .. poorly ran .. could be a good place again if they try

At 10:45 last night I tried to order and a young lady asked if i would like to try something but I young man cut her off and said that their system was down and they aren't making food. So aggravating!! I know associates really don't care about customer service, I work in retail myself. I just thought management would like to know someone didn't feel like doing their job. And so why are we going to give people more money to do a job they don't want to do??? read more

This McDonald's is a joke, it's went way down hill since some of the old managers left. I went into the lobby around Noon and placed an order. As I'm waiting, a lady comes around the corner (I'm assuming she's the MOD) rudely telling me that I need to go through drive thru because her lobby is closed. I told her that I had already placed an order and that I was waiting for my food. She tells me that I need to go outside and wait, and they'll bring my order out to me, because she needs to lock the doors. I refused, because this just seemed like a crazy request for a restaurant that has a "closed lobby" with all the doors unlocked and a big sign out front that says "LOBBY OPEN" The manager then walked off mumbling cuss words, came back and started locking all the doors and then told me that I need to let her know when I'm leaving so she can let me out and that next time I should just use drive thru. You would think that this McDonald's would be a little better considering they have a local corporate office right across the street. read more

Horrible place. If they park you, half the time they forget to bring you your food then wanna act like your wrong. Customer service is crap, fries cold. Only reason I go there from time to time is cuz I'm a block away. If you live in Granite it's better to find another location read more

Apparently if order breakfast 20 minutes before 10:30 which is when it's supposed to stop through Grubhub don't bother because I guess it takes longer than 20 minutes to make a biscuit and gravy, a sausage biscuit and a large coke.... who knew and the the associates at the store were super unhelpful, definitely nothing like the location by my work. read more

Always check your fries. On a good day, they're wonderfully cooked and salted. With kids as staff during the night time, they're undercooked and over salty. And someone please pay attention while taking orders, seriously. Do your job right. read more

I have been going to this McDonald's for years and understand that we are in a pandemic but it has been multiple times that I have went they never get anything near what I order. I'm not going when they are busy it is normally just me in the drive through so I don't understand why the problem. As our state moves forward to being completely re-opened this can not continue read more

Line outside was backed up to the entrance.. so I went inside to order and there were about 5 people standing in line and no one came to the front counter for 10 minutes and said something about locking the doors so everyone left and the workers almost got into a fight with a girl standing in line. Went to jack in the box and got an order in like 2 minutes. This McDonalds keeps going downhill. Last time I came here my burger and fries were as cold as the inside of a refrigerator read more

The new McRib is a McRipOff! $4.79 each for a small pork patty on a HAMBURGER BUN, with two tiny pieces of onion and a pickle. Went through the drive-through and WAS NOT told there was a shortage of McRib buns. Didn't realize it until I got home with two McRibs. My wife opened the package and said, 'COME ON NOW!!!' Tried calling to complain--and the voice mail was filled up. Now I understand why McDonald's it's dropping the McRib. What a mess! read more

The most consistently terrible fast food restaurant in our town. This McDonald's is awful. From customer service to food quality. Our order is wrong, not fresh, burgers pink in the middle and not up to temp, sandwich's are sloppily put together, fries are hard and taste stale. I could go on and on. I avoid this location and drive to others or out of town to avoid it. Been this way for years. read more

The fries were cold, not completely filled, and floppy. Soda flat, wait time was about 7 minutes. If you are to choose between two McDonald's in granite city. I'd personally choose the other. read more

We waited for 20 minutes at the curb and would have been there for an hour if I didn't go into the store. The food was already done and ready for consumption but they didn't bring it out to us. Maybe they forgot? Idk, but it was poorly ran and we will not be going back there for a while. read more

first off, the guy at the speaker repeated the same questions a good three times before he actually understood what we were asking. we were picking up a doordash and asked us to confirm the order number BEFORE telling us their machine was down. not to mention we drove off thinking the order was cancelled...it was not, i called the store a total of 8 times and never got an answer. we had to call doordash customer support to make sure the customer got the refund. their attitude was shitty and they were overall just bad. they never answer their phones and they always have a chip on their shoulders. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION read more

Went through McDonalds to get 2 fries and a burger - the burger was just pickles and ketchup, no cheese, which was put in correctly. Finally get the the window after around 25 minutes and immediately pulled into a spot to check my food, and of course it's wrong. Pull back into the drive thru, tell them what happened, and then get to wait for another 25 minutes just to get my burger remade. Three items should not take nearly an hour, and a burger with two condiments should not be this difficult. The employees are also always impolite and won't even look at you half of the time. read more

McDonald's - a receipt for a cheeseburger - Burgers Near Me - Granite City, Illinois

first off i wanna say this was probably the worst experience i've ever had here. first at the ordering thing, the lady sounded like she had some beef with me. when i got up to the pay window, she had such an attitude for no reason?? then at the present window, i got my fries, mcchickens, and my sprite. i asked for a single thing of ranch and the dude at the window looks at me and then gives me a nasty look and hands me the ranch without saying anything. now the food, i'm tryina say this in the nicest way possible, it was disgusting. the fries were old and soggy, not even salted a single bit, the mcchickens weren't even that warm and were hella dry, and then the sprite was out. it was just pure soda water. kinda hits weird when u expected something else ngl. anyways this was the worst experience here, the whole vibe was off, and my food wasn't appetising. read more

I ordered fries from here on my lunch break. I used to app to order and pay , it took forever for them to bring my food out so I decided to go in. I went in to show them my order and that it was paid the manager made me pay again because it didn't show out on their side . I tried showing her my mobile receipt etc she kept saying "we having nothing to do with the app" I'm highly upset and annoyed! She was rude and cared nothing about what I was saying. I won't ever return to this McDonalds read more

I ordered a large coffee, medium fry, and a chocolate shake. The moron working at the window handed me my order but gave me a medium coffee. I politely told him that it was wrong and that I paid for a large. He then replied and told me that is was a large. Well it was definitely not and I told him to get me the large I paid for. He said give me the coffee, took it and then said "bye". He then turned around and said I'm kidding just wait. This place and the employees are absolute trash. read more

I sure wish there was an option to choose 0 stars because that's what this restaurant deserves they are are awful all the way around they never seem to get your order right, ALWAYS have an attitude, nothing's ever working (like their ice cream machine) every single time I go there it's broken! Their food is always cold there needs to be some better management and some major changes this used to be our go-to McDonald's from now I will drive 15-20 minutes just to avoid going to this location! awful customer service the owner should be ashamed of their self for allowing this. read more

Fries were cold , no salt very poor customer service . Food was a disappointment tasted like it was sitting out for awhile

Must be no managers working here or else they just don't care. The food served is often wrong in drive thru. My wife worked at McDonald's when I met her 35 years ago and I started out in fast food, we both can't believe the lack of pride in work. Our food yesterday was burnt , cold and buns as hard as rocks. Terrible place ! McDonald's should check their franchises ! read more

This is one of the slowest McDonald's I've ever been to and half of the time they get your order wrong. Don't even bother going at peak times. I've waited 20+ minutes in the drive thru during rushes several times. It's not uncommon to see people pull out of the drive thru after they've ordered. I only continue to go because I love the iced coffee and tea. There are 2 other McDonalds in the area owned by the same person and they are both equally as slow as this one. Go to Burgerking. Faster service and they get your order right. read more

This McDonald's on Johnson used to be one of the better ones to go too! I don't know what happened but it is now thee worst! They have the poorest customer service I have ever seen! And their can be no one their and your food will still come out messed up! I waited 5 min for the girl to collect my money remind you I was only one in line. She could have acknowledged that I was sitting their at the window waiting but in stead she stood with her back to me talking to another employee! I get to window my food sitting their ready but I wait another 3 to 4 min on my drink that should have been sitting their ready! I get home and my order is messed up! I spend more money in gas going to get my correct order than I do on the food it's self! Just all the way around terrible service! read more
