Let me start by saying this place is not completely bad they have a couple workers that are amazing key word couple the older white lady that is at the register during the day is great and the general manager seems cool but the rest of the place is mid I go there a decent amount I don't cook so I'd say almost every day I go there and very rarely do I have my food correct and fresh it's either wrong and hot or right and old it's honestly annoying McDonald's is a home hitter for me but tighten up how hard is it to get a plain burger correct and fresh giving it a two star souly for the fact of the good service the one cashier gives me or it'd be a 1 star read more

I could complete this entire review with one sentence: "Mc Rib to go, no napkins." However , you're gonna have to endure all the details. Pull up with 12-14 cars in the double line drive thru. 40 minutes to give order. "2 McRibs 1 Sweet Tea". Took 4 attempts for the voice to hear my order, while everyone in their cars could hear my order. Voice replied, we are out of Tea. Side note, I'm looking at the menu board that has a line through every item requiring ice cream. 10 minutes from order to pay window, 10 additional minutes to pick up window. Arrive a window and am offered a Large Coke and 2 Big Mac's. I confirm with my receipt the correct order and then wait another 10 minutes for the window attendant to go find 2 McRibs. The owner may note that the next closest McDonalds was temporarily closed for a Police Shooting, but this is McDonalds. Billions served is accomplished by quick and efficient. While we were staying at the Fairfield Inn right next to here, we stopped to grab some food before heading to Busch Stadium. We went through the drive thru around 4:30-5pm. There was no line. Lady taking our order was nice. We used the McDonald's app for the $1.39 large fry deal (Houston has the same deal but $1 large fries). In addition, we got 6 cheeseburgers, 2 McDoubles, a small fry and a $2.50 bundle of a spicy McChicken and small fry. Total was $24. All our kids started complaining that their burgers were burnt. Since we were driving, I didn't really think much of it but once we got to the stadium, our one kid gave me their uneaten burger and sure enough, they were burned. Not only burned but it had charred burned bits folded up inside the wrapper too... As for price, this place was definitely more expensive than our local one in Houston but we understand everyone has different prices. read more

I placed my drive-thru order with 2 cars in line in front of me. By the time I got to the window 15 minutes later and paid, I sat there for almost 10 more minutes before she tells me that they are kitchen making my order and for me to pull up into a parking space. Really? I ordered a Big Mac & fries. There was nobody at the inside counter ordering. Why did it take 25-30 minutes to receive my food? The couple people I could see thru the window weren't doing anything but standing around with occasionally taking out their phones and texting. I understand that working the graveyard shift at any place, let alone a fast food restaurant isn't the best shift and more often than not you're probably going to be coming off of work from another place, but the drive thru service at night is truly terrible. I get off at 1:00 AM and almost always have to go to the Taco Bell drive thru because when the lights are on at the McDonalds, they're either too slow or just don't care. And that's WHEN I can order. Most of the time they're only accepting mobile orders or Door Dash/Uber eats deliveries. I mean, c'mon, it's not that hard. And I'm not upset about having to go through the Taco Bell because at least they get my order right. When I've gone through the McDonalds, I ALWAYS get cheated out on fries and can't order any more than 2 items because then it gets messed up. And remember, that's when they want to work. Most of the time, I can't order because they're pretending to be closed or they "can't accept" any drive thru orders. You might as well just not have a third shift. Shut the restaurant down at 10 or 11 or whatever. Can barely even understand the people taking the orders too. They mumble their words, talking like they're half asleep, and just make you feel like you're the one in the wrong for even wanting some food. Terrible service, terrible ambiance, terrible McDonalds. Cut third shift, fire every one of them, and close the place at night. Save yourself some payroll and electricity, they just don't want to work there. Boo, Pontoon Beach McDonald's! Shame on you! First of all, I was a first assistant store manager with McDonald's for 12 years. I know some things have changed, but was probably one of tue worst experiences I've had at any McDonald's. My wife and I stopped in at the Pontoon Beach location at about 4:30 pm on a Friday. We used the kiosk to place our eat in order. My wife ordered the 10 piece McNugget meal and I ordered the triple cheeseburger meal. Pretty simple, right? Uh no. Our receipt was time stamped 4:40. By 4:55, no food. Ok. I get it the drive through was pretty steady and I've been there. The problem wasn't they were busy. My wife went to the counter to get our cups and noticed our order was just hanging out at the fry station. When she asked for our cups she asked about our order. The employee took the basket of cooked fries, they hanging over the vat and dumped them and packaged our fries.needless to say. The absolute worst fries ever. The triple cheeseburger was rock hard and very dry. My wife's McNuggets were far from fresh. We ate about half of our meal and threw the rest away. I'm not sure who the owner/operator was for this location is now, but I know many years ago, the owner/operator had a much higher standard. When we left, there were 5 customers standing around waiting for their orders and they seemed a bit unhappy.maybe it was just a bad day, but if not, they need to get better. Hello Mr Williams my name is Keith Washington I recently visited the store for on the way to work meal. 10-10-2025. This being my second time patronage the store I was and received the same quality of food. The fries were so salty as if the entire canister was opened and poured on them. I called called called to no avail. I returned the next morning after my shift ended to speak with a manager. My encounter was met with no empathy or understanding only here is a number and email to complain. Sadly I can say that I see why to demeanor and care given to customers is at this level. I have called called a called 618-876-3289 with no answer or call back. Thank you for giving a positive leadership and caring attitude towards me and anyone else who has written a complaint on fries so salty it will SPIKE YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE. Once again it's sad to say but I will say it anyway when it comes to BLACK OWNED RUN MANAGED BUSINESS THE QUALITY IS TRIFLING. Where to start? The entire experience was terrible. The drive thru started out out OK. I placed my order, a basket of fries, large soda, and a hot chocolate. The young lady said something to me, which I didn't understand. Then she yelled, "What size?" without prompting. I replied that I would like large. Her next response was, "What size?" even more emphatically. My reply was just as loud in return, "I said large! Did you hear that time?"She mumbled more and said to pull forward. I went to the 1st window and asked how much and was greeted with no friendly demeanor or even a hi. "I would have told you if you hadn't pulled off." "Uh young lady, you told me to pull up." I paid after she told me, without another word said by her. I pulled up to get our order. Again, not a hi or thank you. "Here's you Coke." "Here's your fries. I'll get your hot chocolate. " Here's Part II of my nightmare. I watched the lady who handed me my food mess with the machine for a few minutes, then call a young man (maybe teenager) set down his mop, and attempt to help, before a third person appeared. Finally, the first took my cup, squirted some Hershey syrup in a few times, the set it under the machine. She then sprayed Redi Whip in it and closed the lid. She had to wipe the cup with paper napkins, but not successfully. I took the cup and my hand stuck to it. Once I took a drink, it didn't taste very chocolaty. The whipped topping was nearly frozen, and chilled what heat there was. I didn't like it and set it down. When I arrived at home, I opened the lid. It was white, just milk. I knew it didn't talk right. I poured out the drink, only to find the chocolate syrup still resting on the bottom of the cup. I'll not go back again to this store. read more

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. This McDonald's is horrendous. You're guaranteed a 15 minute wait in the drive thru no matter what time of day you come. Staff is usually rude and doesn't even let you finish your order before they cut you off and give you your total. They screw up the simplest of orders too, even something as small as a soda. Inside the lobby is usually trashed. Soda lids all over the counters, soda spills, etc. Straws are always unstocked and there's flies more often than not. Occasionally you'll get a fresh meal but, again, more often than not, you'll get stale fries and nuggets/burger that has been sitting in the warmer for way longer than it's supposed to. I work in fast food. I have worked at 24 hour food establishments. I understand how stressful running a restaurant can be with little staff. However, I cannot even comprehend how we could sit at the speaker for 10 minutes without a greeting (but blocked in by cars in front of and behind us). We ordered at 10:56pm, it is now 11:20pm and we have not even paid yet. I have not even seen a person at the window to pay out orders in over 15 minutes. 6 cars have driven off behind us. Management needs to properly train the people here and give them enough staff to operate the restaurant. When we finally received our order, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the wait. And worst of all, our fries are rock hard burnt to a crisp. I feel bad for the employees. I had the most frustrating morning ever because of this place. Woke up craving biscuits & gravy, and having a full day planned turned to fast food instead of making it myself. We called this location to ask when they stop taking orders for breakfast, & they said 10:30. Being 10:20, me & my boyfriend rushed out the door & started that way. Arrived at exactly 10:30 in the drive through. We attempted to order a Dr Pepper, but was told that they currently don't have any soda at all. Strange enough. Still at the speaker, it is now 10:31 & the girl at the speaker began speaking with someone inside the store "so you mean that I cant do this one? I have to tell them no?" & then the women came back to tell us, even though we are speaking to her and COMPLETING AN ORDER, that they cant give us anything that we wanted and we wasted a trip. My husband and I went through this drive thru that didn't move for about 20 minutes. We ordered two large coffees and a small fry. When we got to the pay window, the girl said an order that wasn't ours so we repeated our order. My husband asked "So you have the two coffees, one vanilla, one caramel" and she said yes, but then our receipt said only fries..... It wasn't until we got to the next window that we were told the coffee wasn't made then handed us our fries. So we waited 20 minutes for.... a small fry.... when we went there for coffees. If we were told they didn't have coffee, we could've gone somewhere else, but instead we were made to stay in line way too long for some fries. read more

I am not sure why this place has gotten poor reviews from others. We stop here for breakfast every time we travel. This morning we had biscuits and gravy and the hotcakes meal. The place, including the bathrooms, was spotless. The service was wonderful and they even gave me a gravy dish to take with me so I could feed my dog. The only thing I saw they could work on was there beverage station needed a little care. Wonderful, hot breakfast that was served fast and by friendly staff.
