I normally do not leave negative reviews unless there is a consistent pattern, but after repeated experiences at this location I feel it is important to say something in hopes that management or the franchise owner will address what is going on.
This review is about the McDonald's located at 2400 Alliance Gateway Freeway in Fort Worth inside the Williams Travel Center.
The biggest issue at this location is extremely slow service and very poor organization when it comes to delivery orders and general operations. I regularly pick up orders as a DoorDash driver and it is very common to see five to ten delivery drivers waiting in the lobby. Wait times of 30-45 minutes or even close to an hour for simple fast-food orders are not unusual here.
Communication from staff is often minimal or dismissive when drivers ask about orders that have already been waiting a long time. Drivers are frequently told things like "it's coming" or "we're working on it" but no clear timeframe is given.
On my most recent visit around 1:30 AM on March 10, 2026, an employee told multiple drivers that DoorDash orders close at 1:30 AM and that the restaurant would not prepare or release DoorDash orders after that time.
However, DoorDash orders from this location continued appearing in the app after 1:30 AM, meaning drivers were still being dispatched to the restaurant even though the store refused to fulfill the orders.
During that same visit the restaurant appeared to shut down completely while still listed online as open 24 hours.
Multiple wet floor signs were placed across the drive-thru lane blocking vehicles, and approximately ten wet floor signs were placed across the entrance walkway from the Pilot travel center leading into the McDonald's, preventing customers from entering the building. The side door near the drive-thru was also locked, leaving no way for customers or delivery drivers to enter.
This means the restaurant appeared closed to everyone -- not just delivery drivers but also normal customers -- even though the location still shows as open 24 hours online.
During this same visit I attempted to pick up an order that had already been placed and paid for through DoorDash, and staff refused to prepare or release it. Multiple drivers were told the restaurant was simply not doing DoorDash orders.
That means customers are placing and paying for food, drivers are being sent to the restaurant, and the restaurant is simply refusing to fulfill the orders.
Because of this situation, I have already contacted DoorDash support, and they informed me that a merchant investigation team will be reviewing this location.
I have also submitted feedback directly through McDonald's corporate customer care system so the situation can be reviewed by management.
Most people understand that restaurants get busy sometimes. However, waiting close to an hour for fast food combined with refusing paid delivery orders and appearing closed while still listed as open indicates serious operational problems that need attention.
I genuinely hope the franchise owner, general manager, or corporate leadership reviews what is happening at this location and works to improve how this restaurant operates.
Until then, customers and delivery drivers should expect very long waits, confusion with delivery orders, and inconsistent late-night service at this McDonald's location. read more
