Wowza but not in a good way. We ordered a few items to go on the ordering screen, which I felt was more efficient. The drive thru was very busy also, just a lot of cars backed up. We waited over 30 minutes! Oh my word, I cannot believe it. In compensation for the wait time we were offered a water cup. WOW. The workers were friendly, but no one seemed like they were in a big hurry. I could see an assembly line in the back, but they weren't getting anywhere. This is the worst McDonald's I've ever been to, and I worked for the McDonald's corporation for 4 years as a shift manager. I've never gotten an order fully correct in the several times I've visited, and I don't order complicated things. I'm not the kind of person that modifies sandwiches and yet, they're modified for me, sometimes to the point that's it's entirely the wrong sandwich. I ordered a Quarter Pounder Deluxe and it was received as a Chicken Sandwich. I don't know if high staff turnover is the issue or poor management, but this place is incredibly inconsistent. In the past, all the employees here have been less than satisfactory. However, recently we've been served by David, who is by far the best McDonald's employee I've ever come across! He's always cheerful, smiling and more than happy to help, even when we show up at 1am with decent sized orders! Once, our car even got stuck in the drive-thru, forcing us to push it to the neighboring parking lot. Although the drive-thru was busy and it was nearly midnight, David ran out of the restaurant to check on us and offer his help. Now, my friends and I get excited to see if he's working when we visit. What in the world? McDonald's in Ephraim has gone down hill. If you're going through the drive thru for a Diet Coke, expect to sit there for 15 to 20 minutes. All their employees act like chickens with their heads cut off! Between the time of ordering and actually getting to the window, there will be about 4 or 5 cars that will just leave before they get their food. The other day I ordered a 6 piece chicken nugget, there were 4 people in front of me and I sat there for 10 minutes I eventually just left. Sounds so "first world probs", I know. Visited for lunch on the way to take my kids fishing. This review is not an exaggeration. The dining room was hands down the dirtiest, most disgusting scene I have ever experienced. I should have turned around the moment I had to squeeze passed an overfilled roll away dumpster sitting by the front entry door. Our first steps into the building announced our presence as each step made a suction sound because of the sticky floor. There was thick syrup splashed all over the soda machines and the ketchup dispenser dispensed some sort of curdled ketchup. There was not a clean table to be found in the entire restaurant. In fact, we found mouse droppings on top of one of them. We tried to wash up before eating but neither bathroom was operational due to plumbing issues. It was a total mess. Stopped for breakfast last week two Egg McMuffin's they tasted bad they were almost slimy threw them away worse than that they told me to go to the second window the girl did not wear a mask she handled both the money and the food I asked her why no mask she told me she wore it when she thought she needed it I called the manager he said that he would talk to her and that she was supposed to wear a mask and that it would not happen again two days later I decided I would give them another chance based on the word of the manager after waiting a long spell I got to the window the girl taking the money had a mask but when I went to get my food a different girl did not have a mask I got really mad drove off without the food called the manager again he was rude and did not seem to really care ended up hanging up on me when the pandemic is over I still will not go to McDonald's read more

Wish I could give them 0 stars.. The last 4 times we have gone, we have had terrible service at the pick up window. We are asked to pull forward and have to wait 15-20 minutes for one item or all items. I had to go inside because they forgot about us. We went one more time to give them a chance, and we told them we would not pull forward because of being forgotten in the past. They flipped their lid. Told us to pull forward or we wouldn't get any food and would get a refund. We were fed up with the general managers attitude so we got the refund. This location has quite a poor reputation since new ownership. I was hoping that the new building would come with a change for the better. I have only been there twice since reopening and they are 2 for 2 with long waits, order screwed up, and poor employee interaction. The food is par for McDonalds as is price. There are 2 kiosks and just one person taking orders. The back crew can easily make up the rate of error with their incomepetence. Drinks are $1, but there is no rootbeer. When they rebuilt, I thought they might offer better service along with their new building. I was wrong. They're excruciatingly slow, the food is often cold or put together hastily, and 2 out of 3 times there is something wrong with the order. But today was the straw that broke the camels back. I literally chipped a tooth when I bit into a sausage McMuffin today, because the bun was so stale and hard. The ONLY reason they stay in business is because there aren't many other options in Ephraim. But the cheap food isn't worth it anymore.
