This Micky Dee's is probably one of the worst, though the staff are nice, I don't think it is managed well. The Frozen Coke machine is ALWAYS broken, for years it is regularly broken, especially in the summertime. Also the ice cream machine. Plus they routinely get orders wrong. Be sure to keep your receipt with you so you can prove what you ordered. If you're doing through the Drive-through, don't drive off UNTIL you check the bag. They constantly screw up orders. One time I ordered a simple cheeseburger and I got two buns with condiments and pickles, but no meat patty. I was incredulous. Had to drive back around and hand it back to them, explaining, I sure would like a meat patty with my cheeseburger. Nice mostly Hispanic employees, terrible management. read more

I gave my standard order that I give at M McDonald's all across this country: two double cheeseburgers with TEN (10) pickles each, small fry, large Diet Dr Pepper, no ice. My total is $13 and change. I get up to the window, and they tell me $15 and some change. When I inquired, I'm told they "had to charge me" for the "extra pickles". While I know some McDonalds do this, charge for the additional pickles, usually when that happens you are told that before they total you out and you agree to it or not. This time, no notice and total changed when I get to the window. $2+ more for pickles. Could have bought half a jar of Vlasic Kosher dills for that add on. Highway robbery and bad business to change the price at the window. When I opened the burgers, they were soggy with pickle juice stopped everywhere, including the outside of the wrappers. Mustard and ketchup were stopped on as well and tho it made for a mess in eating it- made the burger taste better in the end. Won't patronize this place again. read more

Every time I come to this Chanute McDonald's it is dirty, employees are rude, and want to complain when the issue is their fault. Very oddly ran McDonald's! I was excited to see some young new workers but when my food came out and my $4 fries are cold, and I have an upset kiddo, the last thing I want to do is argue about y'all replacing them! We stop by the Chanute McDonalds on 5/19 for a breakfast sandwich order as at 845 going through the drive thru. Pull to the window received our drinks wait more than 5 min and then was as to pull to the front of the building and they would bring out the rest of our order. Ok that was fine but after waiting 30 minutes I went inside to get our order. There was less than 12 people inside and only one at the counter waiting on her order. I was asked what I needed and I asked for my order. I asked to speak to the manager when she came from the back she was very rude and yelled at me she was busy training a new person and was being pulled so many way. I this was no way for a Manger to interact with a customer. I the tried to call the company and they never returned my calls so I guess they don't need my business as they own most of the McDonald's in SE Ks & SW Mo( Nicholas companies in Joplin Mo). Ok now I have to give credit where credit is due. I haven't been to this location in about a year and the last time I was here the service wasn't bad, it just was lacking a little friendliness and my product was not good. I don't know whether they're reading yelp reviews or whether they hire new people I don't know what happened but the young man that was working the drive-through window he look like he could be no more than 19 years old but he was absolutely the most professional and friendly fast food worker I've ever had the pleasure of being served by. My favorite Breakfast item at McDonald's is the Egg McMuffin and I have eaten them all over the country. Unfortunately, this was one of the least edible due to a burnt English muffin. I should have taken it back; but I had already waited and needed to hit the road. I tore off all the burnt edges and then bit into a dry egg. *sigh* Well, the hash brown was consistent and so was the fountain drink. They were busy in the drive thru at 10AM because one person was handling the counter and window; but I don't know about the kitchen. I don't eat here all the time, either, and I was only visiting. Felt like I step foot into a satirical scene from a adult comedy, and the joke was about McDonalds in a trailer park. Had one guy carrying a 1911 handgun customized like it was black ops 2, along with with three magazines strapped to his person. All the patrons gave off a hostile energy. Most of them were glaring at my friend who had a darker skin tone. One of the workers in the kitchen just walked out when they were supposed to be helping a new hire, and the rest of the kitchen staff were yelling at eachother. It took a while to get our food but hasnt been the longest i've waited. Our food has been overcooked and the nuggets were stale. Wasnt expecting much as is, so being able to not meet expectations was quite a feat. In short, this was a very interesting experience overall. read more

I want to tell you how wonderful the staff was last night 4/8/22 when the Paola JV and Varsity softball teams came in to get dinner before heading home late last night. My daughter said the work crew did an amazing job organizing, taking orders and making sure each teammate got the correct order. Not much better for a quick breakfast than that sausage biscuit and hashbrowns deal for $1.50 at Mc Donalds. IF you can get it. The drive thru was backed up so decided to go inside to eat. I was the only one at the counter and stood there several minutes and was never acknowledged. One girl kept her back turned to the counter so she purposely couldn't see me. Finally went to Casey's. Fries were hot. Floors needed sweeping and tables wiped. Service was pretty quick for noontime.

The entire restaurant--bathrooms, ordering area, dining area--was filthy dirty. The floor was sticky and had trash and dirt scattered over it. The staff was not friendly, but not rude either. More like indifferent. We had to wait 30 minutes for 10 nuggets, a medium fry, two smoothies and a vanilla cone. They tried to give me the nuggets twice, and I had to tell them we already got those. They tried to talk me out of ordering the Blueberry-Pomegranate smoothie because they'd have to reload a new mix (heavens, no!!). I caught one worker trying to throw away my receipt that was sitting on the counter, waiting for fulfillment. I stopped her and said my order has not been filled yet. One worker was standing behind the counter, starring off into space. Not sure what her job was. Ultimately, I had to remind the staff of every item on my receipt (which they had in front of them): "I still need my fries." "I didn't get a cup for my soda." "I also ordered a vanilla cone." This store's evening crew is the worst. Went to the drive thru at a little after 10 pm because the website read 11 pm. There were other people were there, waiting. I called and they told me that they closed at 10 pm. There was no indication in derive they to mention that, and the drive try lights were still on, making it appear as though they were open. My wife, who was with me, and I told them about the other people who were unaware that they were closed. We suggested that the announce to the other people that they were closed, which they did not do. They feed as though they could not be bothered to do their job and the right thing. If you must go to this McDonald's, do not, I repeat, do not go during the evening shift, they act like they can't be bothered to do this job. This is just one incident. We went to Sonic, instead, and they were open until 11 pm and were much more courteous, kind, and as always, treat each customer like they're all very important. This place is filthy. The floor looks like it hasn't been swept or mopped for days, the counter where you get your drinks is absolutely disgusting. The pop machine is a nasty, sticky mess.
