Took a wrong turn and ended up in their parking lot. Fate. Seriously the longest wait in a drive thru line in several years. Cracked me up watching an employee who was obviously told not to water the shrubs with customers in the drive thru. So he didn't. He did stand there for at least 15 minutes, hose in hand, waiting for everyone to leave. Smart guy, really. This is the first time I've heard a totally automated order taker. The absolute worst! While I know that fast food is unhealthy and not good for you, why does every fast food chain have to be the absolute worst these days?! EVERY time we come to this McDonald's , something is ALWAYS wrong. This trip in particular, I received a burnt cheeseburger instead of a McChicken (even though the wrapper says it's a McChicken), I received a Diet Coke versus a Coke, and we did not get any our sweet and sour sauce dippers for the girls' two orders of nuggets (a 10-piece and a 6-piece). It is SO frustrating! Especially when you have a $30 order. While I am here, I might as well mention my breakfast order the other day. I ordered a Sausage Egg McMuffin and a Hashbrown. I decided to use my McDonalds rewards to get a free Sausage Egg McMuffin. I guess this was a mistake because they gave me the oldest sandwich possible. The English muffin was so hard that I had to eat the sausage, egg, and cheese by itself - I literally could not bite into it. Hamburger bun burnt hamburger itself was old and dry and French fries must of been from the day before, And you call that a chocolate shake I call that nasty . So I've lived in Canal Winchester for only two years and I typically don't eat fast food but every now and then I would like a cheeseburger. I have been to this McDonald's a few times and every time they mess up my order or I have some asshole employee smarting off to me. I came there tonight and they gave me somebody's food then took it back and told me it wasn't mine after the fact that I put my hand in the bag. Asked me to pull up to the third window and wait on my food. I watched at least 12 cars go through the drive-through as I sat there and waited on my two cheeseburger meal. I walked in there and asked him where my food was and nobody knew they thought that I already received my food and I told him no and then some older gentleman behind the counter starts yelling at me smarting off. First of all I wasn't even speaking to this man and he decided to chime in and start screaming at me that way the whole restaurant heard it so as I am I yelled back. I wouldn't even waste my time writing this review but like I said each time that I've been to this place I have gotten horrible horrible customer service to the point where I was ordering my food and a gentleman in the window was playing games with me regarding my food and my drink trying to make me seem like that I had already received my Coke when I didn't. I was going to get a small shamrock shake at McDonalds and then get a single hamburger and small fries at Wendy's. Then I thought I would just get it all at McDonalds. BIG MISTAKE!! I ordered a hamburger with extra tomatoes and lettuce. At other fast food places I am usually charged 10 to 25 cents for this. McDonalds charged 40 cents. Okay. I was assured the hamburger also included an onion slice and pickle. When I got home I had the most pathetic hamburger I have ever seen: NO lettuce, NO onion, 1 pickle and one slice of tomato. For this I was charged an extra 40 cents.. Rip off! Wendy's also has better fries, IMHO. I have been very pleased with the service received at this McDonald's location. Interestingly enough, I have had positive experiences with all of the fast food restaurants in Canal Winchester. I'm not sure if it's just a general vibe of the area, or what. But Arby's, Skyline, McD's, Wendy's, etc. have all treated me well. Wait, I take that back...Taco Bell is the one exception. Had a terrible time there. But, this McD's is great. I have been there about four times. Each time I had a pleasant greeting and send-off, and the food was well-prepared and tasty. Against my better judgement I stopped at this location on Gender Rd in Canal Winchester. I ordered a fish sandwhich, fries, and one of the frozen drinks that takes whipped cream on the top and then caramel sauce on top of it. I was handed mt drink with no whipped cream and they just put one of the flat lids on it so the caramel sauce stuck to the lid and was not in the drink. As the lady pushed it into my hands she said "no whipped topping" and turned around and went back to the DTW. I asked the girl taking orders if they had whipped cream and she checked and said no they were out of it. I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE OUT OF WHIPPED CREAM!!! The drink was terrible weak tasting as it was. This location continues to go down hill. Employees are rude and have a bad attitude. I will go over to Diley Rd location next time.
