Long lasting problems with this location. Wrong orders, cold food, food left out of the bag, no napkins, no ketchup, no straws. When you order unsweetened tea because you are a diabetic as my friend is, and you get sweet tea? Not that hard to read a menu board. Going inside is an exercise in futility. You end up sitting and waiting 10 minutes or more even, only to go to counter and ask where your food is, and they have either handed it out the drive thru, or it is sitting in bin getting cold and bun getting hard. This happens repeatedly. At one point there were 5 or more groups of people waiting for their food, 4 of who had ordered before we did. Doesn't matter who they put in there, the employees that won't work and don't care, far outnumber the good employees. One person cannot pull an entire shift. read more

They did not get my order right this morning. Forgot a sandwich. Forget sausage on one sandwich. Called to inform them was told I can get a refund asked for the employees name so I know who to say sent me in. She told me they don't give out their personal names. Went in on my lunch, the general manager was preparing food with her hair down. A long line at the counter told the shift manager I was on my lunch she stated we are not serving lunch. Said no I don't want lunch I'm on lunch and am not waiting in line for my refund. Complete idiots there!! read more

This McDonald's was actually a pleasant surprise since the location was at a place where they really don't have other competition. They were still up to par on the cleanliness and the friendliness when it came to their staff. They had really nice screens for the menus and the dining area was really nice and contemporary looking. The food was a bit overcooked (which is weird for a chain like this) but it was still good for what is was and pretty fast. They gave us a wrong order for one of the items .. so minus one star! read more

If you're driving along I-35 at 10:30 in the evening and are starving you are best advised to pass on by these golden arches. Granted McDonald's is barely passable as food anyways and the service is predictably unpredictable, varying wildly from location to location but Bethany, MO ranks highly in terms of employee stupidity. Taking orders is a difficult task apparently. My traveling companion and I ordered 2 double cheeseburger meals, one of the meals with no ketchup or mustard requested on the burgers. For one of the drinks tea was requested but the employee replied they only had hi-c - huh is sweet tea not tea? Says you have it on your menu. Not only did the burgers arrive all topped with ketchup and mustard they super sized without asking, unfairly up-charging us. So my travel companion enters the store and explains the mistakes. And is not even offered a refund for the up-charge. What do we end up with? Four burgers, all without ketchup or mustard. And one was a sausage patty not a hamburger patty! How does that even happen!? For reals guys.... Predictably, the food sucked; lukewarm burgers, cheese not even melted and cold, unsalted fries. I hope they pocket the money from incorrectly up-charging people so they can save up to finish their GEDs because methinks they will find themselves unemployed soon. read more

This location needs some work. Ordered some bacon ranch salads and they made a mishmash that was half bacon-ranch half southwest salad and inexplicably put Italian dressing on the grilled chicken breast. I guess the chef is making it his own. Probably best to stick with burgers here. Ran out of chicken tenders. Forgot to give us the happy meal. No apologies. We came in and there were only one customer next to us there. The WHOLE dine in area was a mess. No one sweep, or wiped down the tables. Looks like someone spilled juice all over the floor and its already dried up but no one managed to clean that up. My daughters and i went to the restroom and it stinks! Even my 5 year old made a comment that the restroom stank! The cashier took our order right away considering that we were the only ones standing there... no receipt were given. It took forever for us to get our food. My husband ordered a big Mac. A lady that cane after us also ordered a big Mac, they gave her order to her first. Hello, The woman at the takeout window was very friendly yesterday evening,she was kind enough to warn me about the deer in the area and how people have been spotting them near the roads. The food and service was great as always. I have been a customer at this McDonald's for years and never came across a problem. This is one of the worst McDonald's I have ever been to. Went through the drive thru tried to order the guy asked us to wait so we did. Watched 3 cars in the other lane that pulled up after us get served. Still no one asked for our order. Pulled to the first window the guy that asked us to wait sat there and stared at us for another 5mins and still didn't take our order. So we pulled to the second window and a rude little shit of girl spoke to us in the most condescending hateful tone about how it was our fault we couldn't get served and we should have waited at the first window even when we explained we had done that. Then she just rolled her eyes and asked for our order and then we just politely told her no thank you and drove off. If I could give this McDonald's a 0 out of 5 I would. I've been to McDonald's all across the US and this by far had to be the worse one. Every time I stop it's a 30 minute wait or they don't even take my order at all. Regardless of being waited on something of my order is either screwed up or forgotten. So my husband and I were traveling on 35 on June 29th 2018 stopped at this McDonald boy was this a BIG mistake. All I ordered was 4 cheeseburgers that were on the dollar menu. I was standing there waiting for my order and Wow what did I see the fricken person that was making the food shoving his mouth with food and just taking his time while talking to other workers. Mean while others were standing around drinking beverages. This is Bullshit !!!! Customers come first. 20 minutes later the guy that took my order asked if I was still waiting for my cheeseburgers and asked me if I wanted a coupon for next time. I told him all I wanted was my order. Somebody really needs to supervise if they are managers. These are the people that think they need 15.00 an hour. Don't think so.... Fix this problem. They got our order wrong and were very rude when we asked them for the correct food. They tried to charge us again for our for the food we already paid for and the cashier said something very rude to us. We finally got what we ordered after they shoved it across the counter at us. read more

There was a line of cars at the drivethru and no one was taking our order. We were screaming into the microphone and no one would answer. This went on for several minutes and there were no cars ahead of us. When we finally got to the window and asked what the heck was going on, the only thing they had to say was, "We're busy. And two of our people are on break." I expressed extreme displeasure. Spoke with two different employees and no one even though to offer the magic words that can sometimes make an unpleasant situation better: "I'm sorry." No apologies, no sympathy. When employee handed me the bag, she never even said, "Thank you." The manager was standing right there when I was complaining to the employee, and she never once even looked my way or tried to defend her employee. Horrible leadership and horrible service. EVERY time we stop here I immediately regret it. If you must stop, make sure to use the drive-thru because inside is ALWAYS a really long wait. And the flies. There are always always always dozens of flies swarming around the menu board and monitor. Makes you reconsider the food you just ordered. I've never personally gone inside. The drive thru is pretty fast. They've never messed up the order. And with having two drive thru's that's pretty impressive. Most McDonald's I've ever been to has one and they usually messed up something. It's in a nice area. Seems clean from the outside looking in. read more

9/30/18: stopped by at 11:15 am driving through on I-35 as I do frequently. Problems like usual: aside from it being dirty, only one bathroom stall had toilet paper. Ordered a double cheeseburger, received two hamburgers that were most likely yesterday's leftovers as the buns were extremely dry and hard. The french fries were also most likely from the prior day as they were cold, soggy, and brown. There was only ice in one of the soda machines and the entire area was dirty. Worst experience every I asked for a double quarter pounder plain (in my book plain means the burgers,cheese and the bun) but no the first time they give me a double quarter pounder with onions. I go back up and I tell them that I said plain and the cashier understood what I wanted but when I I it back the second time I got a quarter pounder with no onions as in they still put on ketchup, mustard, and pickles. I have been to some bad McDonald's but this one just takes the cake for worst of the worst.I am done with this place they have the worst service of any McDonald's that I have ever been to. This was the worst fast food experience I have ever had. We tried to go through the drive-thru but the line was wrapped all the way around the building. Soon we found out why. We walked in to see one girl working her tail off and the other guy who was "working" was complaining about his shift and talking to some lady who came in. At one point this "worker" started throwing things and making a mess of whatever he was doing. He was supposed to be putting the ice cream mix in the machine but he just squeezed the bag until stuff came out and made a mess of it all over the kitchen area. During the 30 minutes I was waiting for my "fast food" I noticed 4 people working but only saw one doing anything whatsoever. I don't think it's possible for a "fast food" restaurant to be slow. I moved here recently and was in town so decided I would get a quick sandwich at McDonald's. There is a left lane and a right lane you can go through. I went into the left lane and sat...and sat...and sat. Four vehicles went through the right lane while I sat. I kept saying "hellloooo" and "is this lane open," but got no response. I would have left, but a van pulled in behind me so I could not back up. Also, I could not pull forward because the service was so abysmally slow that no one was moving. I finally honked and the van behind me called up and asked me if it was working. I told her I didn't know, but if she wanted to go in the right lane she might get helped. She backed up...I started backing up and the intercom asked me if they could help me. I told her no, I was leaving. I went across to Casey's and got an iced tea and a piece of pizza.
