My local Mickey Ds! It has everything you want under the arches. The food is made when ordered. It comes out fast, and cheap, which is what put Mickey Ds on the map. You can order at the counter, order online, in the app, or at the in-store keyosk. This restaurant is clean, bright, lots of parking and is ADA compliant. There's bus parking in the back as well. The workers are so incompetent that they always forget to put food in the bag even when it's sitting there. Fries are always ice cold and if I'm paying for a large fry I want a large not a small put in a large container. The counter had water all over it my wife ended up getting napkins and wiping it up so they didn't put the food in a puddle. You people want to be paid $20+ an hour and you're not even worth $10. Stopped in for iced coffee . It was very good and priced right . They got it right a plus for McDonald's . The price was also very good .

Waited 40 minutes for a happy meal, no mobile order spots to park at either. The burger in the happy meal had two top buns . no bottom bun. Had to request to get the drink at the window for happy meal. Worker stated I assumed it was already given to you. The only thing I typically get from any McDonald's is coffee. This particular McDonald's (most if not all in Maine actually) uses Green Mountain Coffee which I really like and the real benefit to me is the value. Any size HOT coffee for $1...anytime! Most Excellent!! The reason I only give 2 stars is twofold. First, I despise the laziness of the Drive-thru phenomenon in America (are they everywhere?...not sure)!! So without fail, I park anywhere I want in the parking lot because the entire city is waiting in the Drive-thru line. I walk in and am greeted with a very welcome absence of waiting lines. I stroll right up to the register and without fail there I wait, and wait, and wait! Because every employee is busy servicing the drive-thru! Really? How hard is it to have 1 person responsible for watching the front and serving them when they come in? At the very least, acknowledge a potential customer and tell them you'll be right with them. Second, I never use it but while waiting I always have the time to look at the seating area and tables and it is not very often that they are neat and tidy. My partner and I tend to frequent this McDonald's restaurant because it is convenient in a lot of ways. Prices are reasonable for lunches, it's conveniently located, and service is usually great. There has only been a few times in which we've had to complain about anything and usually it's not a big deal and it's a quick fix. Most of the time, we are on lunch from work and we use the drive-thru. On rare occasion we run into a worker that thinks that a cheese burger only ketchup is a hamburger only ketchup or something along those lines. It happens and is understandable especially if it's busy. (I used to be a McDonald's employee in Gardiner, so I know from experience how crazy it can get.) When we do have time to spare, we enjoy going in to eat and we find the place to be clean and neat. Overall it's a good fast food joint. read more

Goddamnit, I was on my way to lecture and super hungry and there was no other option but to eat at McDonald's on the way, I had the worst odor for two days and my throat closed up for about six hours. My wife and I go to this McDonalds a few times a month for breakfast and it is the least expensive place to get a good breakfast in Augusta. We call it Cafe McDonalds because it was remodeled not too long ago and frankly the atmosphere is better then many of the dated breakfast places in Augusta. We like the music they play there in the morning and it is kept very clean. They give you a number when you order and they deliver your meal right to your table. We have found the staff here to be very friendly and they ask and then do not hesitate to get anything you might be missing at your table. Also the coffee here for some reason tastes better then the coffee at most other McDonalds (and also the other breakfast places around town). I assume they use the same coffee as other McDonalds so they must do a better job of cleaning their coffee machine, or something else with the brewing process. read more

Most rude manager I have ever seen at a Mcdonald's!!!! After ordering a double cheeseburger small fries and a drink at the drive up. We went up to get it and they tried to give us two drinks. I told the person she had the wrong order so she gave me one drink and came back with a mcdouble with no fries. So it took them a few mins and some manager came over and said this is what we ordered we said no we had fries and we paid for fries so we wanted them, again she came back and said no you did not and this is what we were getting. then I asked her why did you try to give me two drinks? She was lost at this point very rude voice she said i'll get it and came back with the other drink that we did not want. I told her for the fourth time we order fries she slams the window and go's and gets the fries throws the bag at me without the cheeseburger so I tell her one more time where is the cheeseburger, she comes back throws that bag at me and tells me to get the hell out of her drive up. I realize that mac has low price help but this person is a nut case and should be terminated. I will be call the store manager and filing a formal complaint. So its been a long hot day and tonight on my way home from a soccer game I decided I would stop and buy a water somewhere. Usually its at Duncan and they charge .25-35 which I think is reasonable. Tonight it was McDonald's on Western Ave in Augusta. I ordered at the drive-thru and the girl asked if I was ordering anything else. I said no and she said I'm sorry, but I can give you just water at the drive through, you will need to come inside to get it! WHAT!?!?! I wasn't wanting it for free, I had money ready. I wasn't hungry, I didn't want soda, it bothers my stomach and no caffeine this late so water was my choice! They could have charged me for a soda and I would have been fine with it! It's not like I haven't spent plenty of money there over the years! The fact that they want to punish you for just wanting water may not be a big deal to them but I will never step foot in that McD's again! What idiot manager or owner thought that was a great idea??
