How tf do you guys mess up my order 7 damn times. First I came through the drive thru and asked for the grinch meal. And they said that they were all out which I was fine with, so i decided to get a Big Mac meal with no onions with a large strawberry banana smoothie. I get to the window and come to find out nothing about my meal was correct. This is not the first time this has happened. The manager even tried to convince me that the drink was a large but nobody was falling for that. So thank you mc for ruining my day everytime I go through that damn drive thru. If you've ever been to the Atlantic Beach area then you know that finding grub past say, 9pm any night of the week is challenging and past 11pm is impossible. There is simply next to nothing open. You can either suck it up and drive back over the bridge to Morehead City or you can roll the dice and try this McD's. After a long drive in to the area on a Sunday night at almost ten we rolled the dice with this place. Ooops. Let's check off all the important boxes: Fries stale and not hot? Check Sauce packets not in the bag? Check Fruit Punch spilled down the sides of both cups? Check Instead of the two qtr. pounder meals that were ordered, let's bootleg it and put two regular cheeseburgers in the bag? Check Best of all, let's make sure that there's a solid 10-15 minute wait with all of this even though there were only two cars in front of us. If this is how things are during the "busy" season in July I can't imagine how much of a hoot coming here must be during February. Never again. read more

Absolutely OUTSTANDING service at the Atlantic Beach location. As bakery owners, my husband and I both recognize strong work ethics and effort that goes above and beyond. There were several people in particular who really treat the customers and the restaurant like they own it. Wesley, a very kind and humble young man was so extremely patient with customer special requests, mistakes that "I" made when ordering, etc, that I simply couldn't believe I was in a fast food restaurant- he also cleaned so constantly that we were just honestly amazed. He would wipe down everything in sight and he swept and swept and would even pick up tiny things with his hands that were missed - outstanding employer!! And then along came Eli, his manager. They say that the leadership is reflected in the employees and it was obvious with Eli that his leadership is reflected well. He was very quick to help and very kind and patient as well. The day before we encountered Elizabeth who we were sure was the manager because of her intense customer care and attention to detail as well. She wasn't the manager, but treats her role so seriously that you would think she is. The food was fresh and delicious - it was a very uniquely wonderful McDonald's experience - the first McDonald's review we have ever done,'but this team deserves recognition. There was one other young man with blonde hair that seemed to be up in a hat! Also outstanding!!! Wish we had his name! read more

They serve american style food here. Food does not look exactly like it does in their commercials though.

I stopped in for a quick kids meal at this McDonald's, kids wanted a plain burger. It was Monday night at about 8:45 pm. We parked and walked up to the door. The doors were locked with customers inside eating. The signs on the door said dining room open to 11 pm. Manager opens the door and says the dining room is closed because she is short on staff and Please use the drive thru. We drove to Hardees for our burgers. read more

Drive through speed was absurdly slow, taking several minutes per car. The operator struggled to understand a very simple request, "egg and cheese bagel". After the third time of confirming that we did not want sauce, we ended up with a plain bagel from a woman clearly on island-time. By this time my wife was a vicious she-demon and jumped out of the car to inflict untold verbal horrors upon the unsuspecting staff. She returned minutes later with the correct order, and claimed the staff were adamant out their initial correctness. Other than the abysmal service, the food and coffee was par for the McDonald's course, hence the two stars instead of one. read more

What happened to being pleasant and asking the person coming to give you money if you can please take their order? At the drive-thru at this McDonald's, you are greeted with an advertisement as soon as you pull up (no, I don't want 2 cookies for breakfast - I can read the menu myself), and no indication that they are ready to take your order. They don't even have the decency to ask to please take your order after having to listen to their ad. This is not a time-saving practice, because it still takes forever for them take your order. I live in the area, and this newly remodeled McDonald's sucks compared to the service I got before. Bojangle's just down the road, you'll now be getting my daily breakfast money. When the term "fast food" was coined, it was CLEARLY not with this McDonalds in mind. With two ordering stations on the drive through it still took ten minutes from when we ordered until when we got our food. The person taking the order was rushing and putting things on the screen incorrectly. When we asked to have out drinks made large, she just said "sure" and didn't change it on the screen. read more

As a resident of the Crystal Coast and a huge fan of Mcdonalds, I'm deeply disappointed in what I consider to be excessive charges at the various Mcdonalds locations owned and operated by Purcell Foods. I've visited many of their locations and have been stunned through the years to be charged $1.00 for a cup of ice water(even in the drive through) The management said this was loss prevention as people were taking water cups and getting fountain drinks. However to me it just seems downright greedy. These locations also charge for extra sauces/condiments. Perhaps a few people have taken advantage of the system and have penalized the rest of us. The most recent excessive charge I've discovered is the 30 cents extra for flavors to be added to speciality coffee drinks. They also charge 30 cent extra for a few pumps of plain liquid corn syrup to be added to your latte. In comparisons if you buy a large iced coffee for $1.00 they add the sugar for FREE. But if you spend $4.00 on a hot latte they add an extra 30 cents. I have called the corporate McDonalds number to complain and their position is that individual franchise owners are allowed to set their own cost. I believe people in our region need to be aware that Purcell foods is charging us more and I suggest you vote by complaining or taking your business somewhere else. You might consider Chik-Fi-La where they NEVER charge for water, condiments and sugar. To the contrary, they have all of their condiments sitting out in the open. Something about that makes me appreciate their generosity and hospitality and want to spend more money with them. At the same time, I wish that Purcell Foods and their ownership would take a closer look at their pricing policies and give customers along the Crystal Coast a break. Thank you, Wayne Graham read more
