Bad service very dirty stinks bathrooms are not clean food gets messed up food is bad.

Was in there Wednesday the 18th of march , there were a bunch of kids from the altavista high school , causing being loud running back and forth , I told the manager she did nothing but give me a bag to go , I should be able to sit and have a meal , and she choose to not do nothing about the kids while people were getting up and walking out . I don't know how other people feel but I'm done eating there if the managers can't control the environment read more

The food came out and the fries were not salty! The service is bad because I went with one other person and the wait time was 20 minutes in the drive thru! The ambiance was ok. read more

Nasty!! Flies and cockroaches everywhere. Came in after a day at the park it's 94° outside so I was hoping it would be nice and cool inside NOPE. The poor employees are working with no AC. Whoever is running this place needs to reevaluate the way they run business I wouldn't even feed this sh*t to my worst enemy. If it's night then expect to wait a long time before getting your food. They seem to keep forgetting my kids meal apple slices and drinks sometimes. During breakfast they seem to be in such a hurry that they undercook hash browns.... Almost always something wrong with the order. They don't use the deals on the mobile app sometimes. My gut has seen a lot of McDonald's in my life and this is by far, the worst one. read more

Hadn't been to McDonald's in a very, very long time. On a hungry whim, visited the drive-thru at the Altavista McDonald's. Ordered a filet-o-fish sandwich. The sandwich did not have the customary slice of cheese. Yo. What in the world is going on with this McDonald's. Every. Single. Time. I visit something is off. During these times it's so important to be able to provide cheap, hot, consistent meals to people that are on unemployment/out of work due to COVID. There is no continuity at this location. I asked for extra lemon and was told "I guess." There hasn't been a time yet where the food wasn't cold. You'd think there was a line around the restaurant but it's never busy unless it's lunchtime or maybe 5 pm right after work. When you're not working with much, getting to indulge in something delicious can make your day. $8 gone- can only eat four chicken nuggets because the rest are B R I C K and hard as a rock. Usually, if not always disappointing. No one should have to "pull up to the flag" for fresh food and wait for ten minutes. Why don't other McDonald's have this issue? read more

Everytime we go out there it's to get a quick cheap meal but when we go to order they have an attitude. When we finally get our food the fries are cold and taste like they just heated them up. We always order the same thing which isn't to hard to get right, like a large fry with a hamburger, we'd only get the hamburger and it would be completely wrong. Needed a quick lunch on my trip toward Lynchburg. Counter person was SMILING and pleasant, and that can sometimes be a rare occurrence at the Golden Arches. Ordered the double quarter pounder without onions. Prepared quickly. Free wifi and hdtv set to the news channel made the experience more pleasant. read more

Great service in Altavista. I always feel welcome and treated very well. The managers and assistant managers go the extra mile.

If I could give a zero I would...the drive thru was busy..so went in and stood there... and stood....I asked two other people do you order here...yes they both replied.... stood... raised my hand ... finally I had to raise my voice to a employee "hey do I order here"... finally I got my order.... The drive thru is so slow I think I aged 10 years. Did they think they weren't going to sell anything today, then all three of our fries were only half full. What a rip off!!!! This place sucks. read more

This is the best place to go to when you have kids that want to eat food fast. Everyone should go to mcdonalds they have the best workers and best fast food. We were treated horrible by the young lady at the register. She continued to talk to her friends after she took their order. We had to ask her to take our order. She continued to talk to her friends while we tried to order. We told her never mind and started to leave. As we were walking out, we heard her talking loudly about us like we had done something wrong. I went back to ask to speak to the manager. She said she was one. Another young man came around and said he was the manager. She kept yelling over my voice when I tried to talk to him. I just walked away and told them it was not worth it. She continued to speak rudely of us as we left. It is ashamed that this young lady works with the public. I will never go back. I would not give any stars to this McDonalds, but to post this comment I had to give one. read more

They are constantly terrible. The slowest service and very rude at times. All around unprofessional. I have been here 3 times and each time I have waited in a line with two or three cars and waited for 15 minutes MINIMUM. It is the neighborhood joke around here because of how terrible the service is. read more

Sometimes you have no choice but to come here as they are closer to Rt29 than other businesses and your child only wants a hash brown. That's it! A hash brown for breakfast. How hard could that be? Apparently very difficult for this McDonalds. After an unusually long wait (16 minutes), we finally got what should have been readily available as a breakfast item. Buttermilk chicken biscuit not worth the $4. Worst most grisly piece of meat I've ever had. No flavor and super chewy. Would've brought it back but I was already home before I tried it. Can't tell it's chicken. Drive thru moved kinda quick. Service ok. read more

Had to wait forever for my order in drive thru. They left out a sandwich. Had to drive back to town and go thru drive thru again. Speaker in drive thru meesed up could not understand worker. Then the worker at the window could not speak or understand english. The last time I checked we are still in america. I may be wrong but should you not have to be able to speak & understand english before you are allowed in customer service. Get this when i did get someone who spoke english they just gave me the sandwich that was left out and had been setting under the warmer.
