Facilities nice, seemed staffed well with only a few seats taken in dining room. Service very slow at counter but especially in food prep. Took about 20 min to get food. While standing at counter waiting for food, observed female food prep person working very slow. Seemed to be no leadership with many workers now seeming to know what to do. Disappointing location. They seem to constantly have inventory issues and / or just don't pay attention to orders. Ordered my kid a cheeseburger kids meal and (without telling me) replaced it with chicken nuggets instead. They also didn't include a kids meal toy. Other times I've come here they are always out of something (or sometimes EVERYTHING) -_-. Altavista is in need of at least 1 decently run fast food establishment. read more

Worked their a few weeks. Never saw a more disorganized eating place in all my 56 years of life. Failed 2 Food inspection audits in 2 weeks. Both during shift changes... Had multiple panel interviews for management position and was planning on training at different store... However after seeing multiple food safety violations and reporting this, promotion and training was canceled....what do you expect when you got a 19 year old kid in charge with under 1 year experience...current manager needs to be removed, and replaced, with someone with experience to clean place up.....just not recommended. Stopped here with my step mom as she loves Wendy's. The service was great an the food was ok. Decided to try the queso chicken sandwich an it was pretty good. My normal is the spicy chicken which is still my favorite. An who doesn't like Wendy's chili. The fries with bacon were ok nothing great an I wouldn't get them again. Just give me normal fries. All in all for fast food it's ok. The place was clean an I love the choose your own drink machine that has it all. read more

This is the worst Wendy's I have ever been to! ordered 2 combos at drive through. The girl took forever to give me change then waited at pickup window for 5 minutes and was the only one in line and no one inside. When food came before leaving I looked in bag , the fries were very dark brown some nearly black. I pulled around and went inside. After waiting for several minutes someone came to counter and I complained about fries and asked if they would eat them! He just shrugged . and said it's the grease, Someone else ask what the problem was so I showed them . They said make more. They were worse! Even the burger buns were scorched. They just shrugged! Very sad excuse for a normal Wendy's. The employees were very disorganized, and I was the only person in there. They gave me old, cold fries, too lazy to make a fresh batch to insure top quality. I will never visit this location again. The management here is very poor, or non- existent. read more

Zero to no effort is given to get your food to you in a timely manner. 3 of us ordered and after waiting 11 minutes our burgers appeared on a tray and only 2 of the 3 orders of fries. So while 2 people ate I waited 3-4 more minutes for fries by that time my burger was cold. It's noon and several people are in line and waiting for food yet the crew is lazily walking around. Absolutely Sucks! It was 9:40 on Saturday Night September 22, 2018 and the cashier said we could not eat in the dining room as they were locking the door at 9:56. The cashier had actually been vacuuming the lobby floor when we walked in. Not very sanitary in a place where folks eat! Mind you that the closing hour for this location is 10:00 pm. So....we ordered and sat in our vehicle to eat. We watched the cashier lock the door at 9:56. A few minutes after 10 pm a vehicle pulled up beside us and three African American girls exited the vehicle and went to the door. Another African American lady from inside let them in and handed them food. They were inside for about 10 minutes...and much to our surprise they went behind the counter. These girls exited the Wendy's with bagged food and left in the vehicle. About 3 minutes later another vehicle pulls up on the other side and 2 African American girls exited the car and were met at the door by an African American lady with a headset on. She let them in the door and again to our surprise they went behind the counter and in to the back of the Wendy's. This place is just out of control. Whomever owns this establishment is being over run and ripped off by the manager or who ever was in command on this Saturday night. I felt terribly offended that we were not allowed to eat in the dining area and all these other folks were obviously getting free food and allowed to be in the restaurant after hours. Obviously not employees ...but friends that were getting great benefits!! WENDY'S ALTA VISTA ...FIRE THAT WHOLE SHIFT.
