My first check-up consisted of 4 parts: First, a sit down consultation, with a staff member, asking what I wanted to do with my teeth. Second, I was escorted to a dentist chair for not only x-rays, but high definition pictures of my mouth. X-rays and photos where taken from all angles. (photos are used to evaluate tooth and gum health) Everything is explained to me, so I can understand what is going on. Third, I go over to the dental hygienist's chair for my cleaning. Lastly, I spoke with the dentist as we looked at the photos and x-rays. We talked about the concerns and questions I brought up in the consultation. Talked about what I wanted to do with my teeth and the most urgent problem areas that I needed worked on first. I have already recommended him to friends. When I came to have it finished, I was presented with another invoice and told that what I paid didn't cover the entire process!!! Why wouldn't they ask for that money up front? I was additionally upsold on services which I didn't ask for, but I was told were absolutely necessary. Now I feel like I may have been scammed on the price of the work I already paid for and unsure if I even actually needed an implant, which is probably overpriced. To add insult to injury, when I showed up for my appointment I was told my parking would be validated "when I paid". Apparently the close to $5,000 I've already spent doesn't get me a bit of grace, here. Ignore these jokers and find an honest dentist - don't make the mistake I did.
