Unfortunately, the most important part of the visit, my 1:1 time with the doctor, was lacking. That is the driving factor that will bring me back to any business. This was my first time meeting Dr. Sheth. She was nice but didn't provide me with much clarity about ways to improve my skin other than purchasing their offered skin care products. After leaving my room, I remembered a question about my skin that I quickly wanted to ask her so I had asked her PA if she can ask her to come back for a quick moment. I heard her asking the doctor and she refused to come back in my room. She told her PA she'd answer it at my next visit. Well, my question would have taken less than a minute to answer. It's the little things that bring patients back and unfortunately I will not be back as a patient. I visit the dermatologist about once a year for an overall skin check up. Last year, when I visited this place I saw their nurse practitioner (who no longer works there). She was wonderful. I had hoped to go back and see her but she is gone. Front office staff does have an attitude but that doesn't matter to me as long as my experience with the doctor is a positive one. Do your homework.

My right index finger and thumb were not in the splint and is all I had use of. I mostly became a lefty because I was strongly encouraged NOT to use my right hand at all. The normal things we do on a daily basis; washing dishes, doing laundry, getting dressed, brushing teeth, combing hair, taking a shower or bath, tying shoes and even using the restroom becomes the worst chore ever when doing it with your non-dominant hand. So grateful to my husband for all of his extra help and support. So grateful for my doctor and team of physical therapists that push me to the max. I squeeze sponges and place them in a bucket. I stack casino chips in alternating colors, alternating fingers. I search for colored pegs buried under white beads with out looking. I also receive a fluido therapy treatment and finish with a massage. My hand hurts so bad when I leave but my range of motion is improving. I am on track to return to work sometime after Labor Day.

HOWEVER: I was with my elderly parent who had a cast removed by Dr. Atkenson. The blade did not automatically stop and despite my parent's screaming for him to stop, he continued. End result: 27 cuts that broke the skin, some of which got infected. (Luckily, no MRSA.) We complained and he said "I did the best I could!" The nurse said, "Oh, this happens all the time, it's why we do this at the office and not the hospital, because of the screaming!" This was unlike any cast removal I have ever witnessed or heard about. If you fracture something, you can do no better than to choose Atkenson as your surgeon. But DO NOT allow him to remove your cast...ask for a qualified tech or nurse who knows how to handle equipment. Before the above incident, I have recommended this man to my friends. Now, I tell them about the cast removal. If you don't know how to handle a sharp instrument, DON'T !!!

Dr. Richard Lim is one of the finest Orthopedic Spine Surgeons in the Country, many surgeons did…read morenot want to operate on me because of the complicated nature of my case. I had a giant herniated disk with severe central canal stenosis along with complete effacement of the Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) around the nerve roots. Redundant nerve roots (RNRs) and the beginnings of Cauda Equina Syndrome and Arachnoiditis. I had terrifying pain in the hip, buttocks, groin and leg. Sound Complicated? That is because it was and the risk of surgery was high. Dr. Lim took on my case and performed an extremely successful Posterior Spinal Fusion with Transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) using a Titanium artificial disk also known as a Intervertebral Cage and a facetectomy on L2/L3 with a very Complex Decompression of Cauda Equina and Bilateral L1/L2 nerve roots and Hip Bone Marrow Aspiration with an Allograft Bone Graft plus 2 Bilateral foraminotomies along with an annulotomy. This was all done using a 3D computer-assisted stereotactic navigation system. I mention all this to demonstrate why even world-renowned Neuro Surgeons declined to take my case. Right after surgery 100 percent of my pre-surgical pain in the hip, buttocks, groin and leg was gone. At 3 months out I was walking 3 miles and at 4 months I was hiking in the forest on hilly and challenging terrain and had a zero-pain score. Also, his P.A.
