This place is fun for kids but man does it need a serious cleaning. It made my skin crawl. All the attractions including the bounce houses had an inch of dust on them. I went with a school field trip and the kids had a great time but I'm telling you they need to deep clean this place like yesterday. The chairs and sitting areas are ripped and run down, floors are filthy, stains everywhere you look, there are cobwebs literally everywhere. It's giving "back rooms" vibes all the way. It smells musty too and there is no A/C so I imagine it gets pretty hot in there. When the weather is nice it stays pretty cool and they do have huge fans everywhere. Also there is a nice view from some of the upper decks. I wanted to enjoy this place but please have it cleaned professionally. read more

This place is amazing. They have the coolest laser tag I have ever done in my whole life. Besides the laser tag, there are dozens of games to play, a rock wall, a soccer field, a Wave Rider machine, and so so much. This is such a fun place to go!!!! read more

You have to visit this place. My 4 children had such an amazing day playing here. It is clean and the staff is amazing and patient with all of the kids. The kids never waited in line for for more than a minute. This place is such a hidden find, we need more of these. We are from Bakersfield and will be coming back as soon as we can to play again. There is a full size gym and cross-fit area that looks very clean and is not crowded and we will be working out while the kids play next time too! Bakersfield could use one of these!! My niece had her 11th birthday here, and the package deal was a good price. Lots of fun stuff for kids and adults. Video games, bounce houses, weight room, dance classes..e.tc. I didn't like the location of the bounce houses because they are on the 3rd floor, and the second floor had no supervision at all so children are allowed to run free. Pretty dangerous, because the fence is only about 4 ft high and the kids can climb it, also the second floor is completely empty, except for the soccer field on one side. Okay so because plans have been cancelled, my boyfriend and I decided 'hey let's go flowriding all day in Lindsey!' Fucking bad idea. Understandable it's not the ideal season for water sports, but if I drive 4 hours from sacramento and call (morning of) to ask if their flowrider is going to be open I could atleast get a heads up that the other half was going to be BROKEN. I was furious to walking thinking 'hell yea! I'm gonna be riding all day. Fuck the cold! It's a flowrider!' But NO I walk in to half a flowrider and a hand full of half naked freezing kids.If we would have know I would have stayed in sac and rode there; I would have been waiting in line forever but under heaters! There were heaters (in the mcdermont field house) obviously out on display but they weren't put up! THE COLD STILL HAUNTS ME! The arcade sucks. I can't rockclimb for shit. The next time I come back would probably be the next time I drive by to go to Disneyland with a middle finger up :) I wish I could rate this place a half a star. Horrible experience. They also tried the flow rider they liked that too but not as much as climbing. Kinda pricey $15 pp for an all day pass but you can be there all day so i guess its OK. I come here to workout whenever I visit family. The cardio equipment is pretty old and run down but still gets the job done. Very spacious for circuit training. Ouy experience was awful. On AUG 12th, 2016 1. The waverider had a wait for 1 hour and one can go one at a time. 2,. The wall climbing had an hour wait 3. To get in the place it was 40 minute wait. My family and I visited the McDermont Field House in December. I was surprised at how pricey it was. We had a great time but we spent $50 just to get in and to play laser tag. This did not include what we spent at the arcade. They didn't have the greatest arcade selection. However, their laser tag room was awesome and we had so much fun playing. read more

I absolutely love this place. What is there not to do? There is a soccer field, a huge arcade, a skate park, a basketball arena, a rock climbing wall, a surfing area (the Flow Rider!) and perhaps the best laser tag arena in the valley. They also have great pizza! The staff is for the most part is pretty awesome. I haven't had a bad experience with the staff at all. The only thing is that the arcade sometimes has broken games - but it is pretty huge so you should have no problem finding another game to play. They even one time had huge bounce house slides in the soccer field! And I've been here for Halloween a while back too. There was a haunted carnival in the basketball arena. They had a hay ride to a haunted house. I was too chicken to go though. Lol. This is definitely a great place for friends and family to go to! I recommend it. read more

A fantastic amusement center for the entire family! Basketball courts, soccer fields, up to date arcade games, laser tag, rock climbing, a, fully equipped, modern gym and even surfing. They offer affordable gym memberships and soccer leagues. Concessions: Pizza, fries, assortment of snacks and drinks. I've participated in their soccer leagues over the years. Great competition. First time we came we had a buy one get one free discover pass. When I ask how late they were open they said everything is open until 8 pm except the arcade, which is open until 9 pm. So we figured we would have fun until 8 pm and then do the arcade for an hour. WRONG! They closed the arcade at 8 pm too. Bummer, we will use the money we put on the card another time. Second time we came we came with our arcade cards. Tried to walk in to play the games and was stopped. The worker said we had to pay $4.50 a person to play the arcade games! We already put $10 on each of our cards and have yet to use them. Very disappointed!! I have never heard of a place charging customers to use games they have to pay to use! McDermont is a unique facility, with some of the best Sports/Recreation/party facilities in the area, you will be pleasantly surprised. It's not everyday you find some of these in a small Central Valley location. On that fact alone it takes 5stars from me. Come here for: The awesome Gym, Indoor turf soccer fields, Basketball courts - perfect for tournaments, SurfRider is a great way to stay cool and improve surfing skills, arcades, Laser tag, the Rock climbing wall, also gives you a challenge. They also sometimes host large Bounce-house parties and you can have your kids tire themselves out. I have been to McDermont for Concerts, small conference shows, weekend family fun, Receptions, Birthday parties, basketball, or to hit Training at the Gym. As I already said this place is pretty unique and has a variety of options. McDermont previously was a fruit packing house and you can see some of the history throughout the facility, which is pretty cool. This place was completely reimagined and now you have a multi-level space that is perfect for family fun and to host small or large events/receptions. Staff has been great every time they organize events. I hope they continue to provide events for the local community and maybe some open-house style of events also. read more

I love McDermont X. We celebrated my daughters birthday and everyone LOVED it. We had a party room for a couple of hours where we enjoyed delicious pizza made by McDermont. We then moved on to the activities laser tag, arcades games, rock climbing, and then to the famous hippo slide (huge waterslide) the kids loved this place. All my guest had such an amazing time. We just took a tour & signed up here so this review is strictly based on first impressions. First off, it's HUGE! An old packing house apparently. To the left are basketball courts where half is covered with enormous bounce houses during the weekend. Then we went downstairs to the laser tag. Looks pretty rad. Then thru the arcade (maybe a little dated) & on to the gym. Nothing too fancy, but plenty to get the job done. Weights downstairs, cardio up top. He said new treadmills coming soon and there were 2 stair climbers. They have classes & a separate room with a lighted dance floor where they have Zumba & host parties. Pretty sweet. Then we went & saw the two indoor soccer fields, and the rock wall beyond that (maybe 70' or so?). On the way back we saw the flowrider & the employee did a little demo for us. At this point we were sold. After signing up we made our way back to the bounce houses to let the kids burn off some energy & were pleased to find a little cafe with pizza & snacks & a loft area up top with TVs & pool tables. We've been here once before and actually had a great time....but today....nothing but disappointment all around. Today I brought my kids, ages 11 and seven along with my 11-year-old's friend, to celebrate my daughter's birthday. My kids were excited to come back here and, even though it's quite a drive for us from Fresno, I felt it was worth the trek. We were most excited to do the Flowrider.... But we were also looking forward to checking out the New and exciting "Hippo Slide" we saw on the website and going in the pool. I called to confirm their hours and to make sure that they still sold pizza as I figured that would be the perfect thing for the kids to eat! The Gal on the phone was very helpful and told me about their pizza specials and we were excited to spend the afternoon/evening having fun! Sadly... This place has been a huge disappointment today. Half of the Flowrider is broken, the pool is closed, and the "hippo slide" is no longer a current attraction. It was taken down months ago... But nobody bothered to update the website. I have sad disappointed kids. And my husband is grouchy because there's no air conditioning.... And now I just found out that the pizza specials are only good on Saturdays. Today is Friday. I took my daughters to Mcdermont Field House for the first time yesterday. I wasn't sure what to expect since I'm from Fresno and no one I know had been there. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised and so were my daughters. They had an absolute blast and can't wait to go back. The flow rider was a blast and to my knowledge unlike any attraction near me. The rock climbing area was nice and challenging. The indoor soccer area has a massive slide that the girls loved sliding down along with a few bounce houses. The arcade area was average. Laser tag was a blast and was included in the family package I purchased. In my opinion the prices weren't bad at all. Included in the family package for $69 was 4 all access passes, $40 on the arcade card, 4 soft drinks and a large pizza. We ended up spending about 5 hours there and we would definitely go back. This place offers the BEST party packages! The facility is closed for parties Sunday-Thursday and they only do one party at a time. First You get 1 hour in the party room which includes pizza, soda, cupcakes and 9"round cake for the birthday child. Then the group gets 2 hours guided attractions (laser tag, rock wall, wave rider, bounce houses) this means it's pretty much just your party at each attraction. Last you have an hour in the arcade with $10 token cards for each participating guest (number is based on the package you get) and the birthday child gets 200 tickets.
