I was overcharged EGREGIOUSLY!!! The OWNER CURSED and yelled at me after I kindly pointed out the discrepancies on the bill. The owner exclaimed that it's basically his prerogative to arbitrarily OVERCHARGE for labor and I was obligated to pay, because I agreed to them doing the work. Quote: "I DON'T CARE IF IT TOOK 5 - 10 MINS IT'S WHAT I CHARGED...AND IT'S WHATS YOU'RE GONNA PAY!" I was charged an extra $195.00 for 3 hours of labor on a 30 minute job! They DID NOT do what they CLAIMED was required. I HAVE PICTURES TO PROVE MY CLAIM. Definitive proof!!! THEY LIED TO MY FACE! The owner cursed...referring to me as an EPITHET while I was trying to get him to listen to my concerns!! He threatened to charge me for daily storage of my vehicle if I did not pay the exorbitant bill!!! I was INTIMIDATED and COERCED into paying TWICE the amount of what I was quoted while they held my vehicle hostage! I wonder how many other people are being unknowingly charged for work that's NOT ACTUALLY BEING DONE! I was reassured by a number of professions that the job was VERY simple and would only take minutes - NOT 3 HOURS!!! I also watched SEVERAL videos demonstrating the process which INFURIATED me after seeing how simple the process was! I was led to believe that their technicians had to endure 3 hours of tedious work to complete the job! When I brought this discrepancy to their attention, their kindness and courtesy turned fury and distain! I WILL NEVER FORGET THIS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I was treated horribly! When asking for a quote for a basic paint job on a vehicle, which was already prepped for paint, I was immediately met with a condescending tone/response. In a tone of voice you might use to talk to a 4 year old, "Well first of all, siiiirr.., there's no such thing as a basic paint job". She goes on to tell me that their pricing starts at $3,000 regardless of the starting condition. I accept that they may do a decent job which may be worth the price to some, but if you are looking for something in a reasonable price range and don't want to be talked down to by their customer service reps, McDaniel Paint & Body may not be the best choice. read more

I just called this shop with a simple question and who ever the lady was who answered the phone answered with the worst customer service I have ever heard she kept telling me I wasn't making any sense to her and she started ridiculing me because I said that not every body shop does their estimates the same way. My 2 year old Audi was rear ended a few weeks back and USAA recommended McDaniel as a preferred client. The car was high end Audi and somewhat rare due to make and model and options and was like new before accident. Damage was significant to include the rear bumper and fascia and parking sensors and body panels and the exhaust system. Having dealt with body shops before, I fully expected repairs to take a month or more, especially on European. McDaniels called with estimate two days after inspecting car and said it would take 8 days once they had parts.Turns out they finished car in 5 days after parts. They were gracious enough to let me inspect car on lift before taking possession. To preface, I used to detail some very rare high end cars in ATL for some of the Coca Cola and IBM executives, Ferraris and rare Mercedes and Porsches to include a few pebble beach competitors. Bottom line...the repair to my car was well done. Minto went through details and warranties with me line by line. No nonsense staff, no nonsense owner. Delivered what they promised. I had boy work done. I met the owner and he is a dishonest person. He told me he repaired a light , which he didn't because days later there was condensation back on the light. He went back and forth with me on why he likes to stay with the original parts on the car. So my bumper was repaired twice by this company and they still couldn't get it right...smh I had to take my car to another shop to get it repaired properly. The owner is all about making money and saving money when necessary. He can careless about the service he is providing. Stay away!!!! read more
