I had 47 years of belongings for my entire family with Public Storage in Burnsville for TOO many…read moreyears!!!Moved from 5000 sq ft to 1221 sq ft. My two daughters ( age 35+) live like most people in small rental apartments, so I still store furniture etc for them too. I was in three (!) 30 ft deep X 13 ft high X 10 ft wide units with public storage. $$$.... Now it is down to two. This took (3) four week trips from FL. In 1.5 years. Donated everything to Salvation Army St Paul. Husband became extremely ill eleven years ago. We are in a lovely FL. condo he inherited. MISS Minnesota... people, culture, weather - - LOVE the cold!!!! I now have two brand newly built extra large units at Forest Lake - - grabbed them quickly for they rented out super fast. Great price. New wood pallets on entire floor. Never have water in these units, very high airy ceilings with great ventilation. Yes no heat no air conditioning so no fragile furniture, vinyl, wood, etc, but I put clothing etc in tight giant contractor extra thick plastic bags into tight big Costco ( yellow black) plastic storage boxes ( the Best/ shut very tight). I will be out of a second 30 ft unit at public storage after 1-2 more four week trips. Back breaking work - - am creating a new industry of folk buying my things at Salvation Army then flipping them online! We always expected to be in Mn but the condo's living costs are better than renting today. Goal is to find a solid 1 bedroom in MN, build out to be able to remain until I pass on, rent out FL condo. Reverend Jim the manager is the best, the kindest man you could ever ever find and work with. No bugs no rodents all these years. Immaculate rest room at office, safe secure, no crazies renting ' next door'. Women working there solo feel 100 % safe. High fence with barbed wire surround the large rural country property. Nice relaxing 30 minute drive up from the twin cities. Highly highly highly recommend!!

We can't say enough good about Tim and the Forest Lake Mini Storage. So very helpful and easy to…read morework with. We moved from out of state, went to the old standby on the north side of town. It was dirty, full of feathers, bird poop, spiders and stunk like motor oil. The door came off the hinges and they had limited access hours. We needed an additional storage unit and found Tim at FL Mini Storage to be super helpful. We ended up liking it so much we talked to Tim about getting a bigger unit. He came through and we moved all our belongings from the other storage facility. Tim was terrific to work with and the units are clean, secure and they offer 24-hour access. We always feel safe, and we appreciated the location is easy to get to. If you need storage for the short, or long term, we highly recommend FL Mini Storage.

I rented a 20x40 tent for a party we had. Now, I have worked in customer service for many years, and my husband owns his own business. It is one thing to have rules and to enforce them but it's also another thing to just flat out treat your customers poorly. Upon pick up, my husband was told to initial the receipt for verification of pick up. Never once was he told to read the contract for rental regulations but just for verification of pick up. Of course he grabbed the receipt and folded it up and off he went. When returning the tent today he was told my card would be charged $20 for putting the stakes and ropes in the bag. My husband stated that he apologized and he dumped the huge bag out, took out all the stakes and ropes and put all the poles back in the bag and even counted everything right in front of the man, all the while, being treated very rudely and even listening to the man argue with another customer on the phone and be rude to that person. After he was done he was told I was still being charged the $20. Two things, when you as the business have a customer sign and there are important rules in what they are signing, I call it common courtesy to point out the major highlighted rules and explain to the customer to read the "contract" thoroughly, not mislead them by stating they needed to "initial the receipt for verification of pick up". Also, he told my husband the $20 was for having to unpack the bag and count the ropes and stakes, so my husband did it for him AND he stood there watching knowing he was going to still charge the $20. I say this is just wrong and it's not about the $20 but about the pure principal that nothing was damaged or missing and my husband corrected the issue for the guy so he would have to. I mean, in owning a business ourselves we bend and accommodate when things are in a grey area, we even go above and beyond to make sure our customers are happy. We NEVER argue and talk down to our customers. I am outraged by the pure disrespect this man gave my husband and the other customer he was rude to on the phone. Besides the fact my husband initialed it and in the fine print it said don't put stakes and ropes in bag-fine, we should have read the fine print, fine, he helped the guy fix the issue, why not just tell him to leave and charge the card? Why not enforce your rules by being pleasant. You don't need to be a jerk to get your point across. I mean, had he noticed and pulled over to remove the ropes and stakes prior to coming into the store this would be a non issue. He correct the problem in the parking lot but we are still being charged? This is wrong and the guy should not be in customer service. We would fire an employee for treating our customer this way. But clearly Ruddy's Rental doe not care how they portray themselves or their brand, it's all about the dollar. Way to be Ruddy's, Way to be. And let's not even mention they had already charged me a $16.58 damage waiver so in essence they are getting me for $36.58 for us transporting the ropes and stakes incorrectly. We rent from Isanti rental all the time and we are never nickle and dimes and treat in a bad manor. And trust me, we will be sure to take all future business back there.
