On June 5, 2026, Cindy's was sold out of flowers for the weekend so I called The Rock Hill Flower Market Shop and spoke with Adriana who was pleasant. We agreed on a purple stock/White Rose arrangement with ribbon similar to Teleflora's $75 Enchanted Cottage Premium. Adriana's price for a similar arrangement was $100 + tax and delivery fee. The next day Adriana texted me one photo of the arrangement she took to the funeral home for the Sunday funeral. It was mixed colors and had no stocks in it and just a few roses. It did not look similar to Teleflora's Enchanted Cottage. I was disappointed and over the next week I called about 3 times and texted 2 times but received no reply nor would she answer my phone calls. She has Google voice so one had to announce yourself when you call. When I texted I asked for half of my money back because it was small and not the purple and white one-sided arrangement I bought for my aunt's funeral. My aunt loved purple and had a February amethyst birthday so that's why I selected a funeral arrangement similar to Enchanted Cottage.

Whoever answered the phone was extremely rude telling me it required a considerable amount of skill that he doubted I had (which is why I wanted a professional's help), and that he did not think anyone in the area would allow it (which is not true). I have been hearing people express interest in finding glass blowing lessons in the Charlotte area…read morerecently and was trying to send them to Glass Impressions, but then I realized they are not showing up as a glassblowing studio when I search, so I thought I would leave this review so that others can find them. I took lessons from Mark Selleck (the owner) a few years ago with a few friends and had a great time. I doubt there is a more experienced glassblower giving classes in this area (and he's self-taught!). I think he has been blowing glass for over 40 years. The class that we signed up for was bead making. We arrived out in the country at the Glass Impressions studio, which also happens to be next to Mr. Selleck's home on a beautiful wooded property. In the building that he uses for business, his work office is downstairs and upstairs is a lampwork/flamework studio with enough room for four students. The day I went with my cousin, there were two other students, so the studio was full, and it was a great atmosphere. After Mark reviewed the safety requirements and gave us safety glasses, we learned to light the torch and heat the glass. First we just started out making small glass balls. We learned to shape the molten glass gradually until we were confident enough to create a shape that actually looked like something! Most of us were able to finish with some cool marbles or our first pair of homemade glass earrings. I learned that the glass has to be cured just like pottery so that it does not crack, and so we left our creations behind so Mark could put them in the kiln for many hours. He offered to mail them to us or let us pick them up at a later date. I know that Mark teaches more complicated skills like actual glass blowing, so maybe another day I'll have time to go back. It is cool that someone with so much experience is willing to teach a beginner with basic interest. Thanks, Mark!

Although he seemed to have intimate knowledge about my order, he had zero information as it related to the status of my order. He also stated that half the items that I had ordered were no longer in stock. It seemed like a classic bait and switch tactic. I found his behavior as well as their business practices to be extremely unprofessional. He kept proclaiming that they are a veteran owned company, implying that should give him some type of immunity as a relates to remaining professional. I am a veteran as well, having done three combat tours during the course of my career. The behavior of this owner was pathetic and tone deaf. There are plenty of very good veteran companies out there that I would recommend. I would certainly not advise anyone to conduct business with this one.
