You simply can't go wrong here. Come to think of it, I think that very first visit here 4 or so years ago was actually courtesy of a stop on a London food tour, if that's any indicator. A must-try.

There is a very long line so strongly recommend reservations which we had thankfully. We were seated pretty quickly and service throughout was good. We ordered two different types of fishes (one simply being lighter than the other). They were both good though wow the portions were bigger than expected. The fries/chips were pretty good as well. It's a cute spot with good amount of seating with outdoor seating as well. Cute ambiance all in all - though definitely a very busy spot.

They don't let you order your fish until you reach the till which means you might have a few minutes to wait if you order haddock or plaice. We ordered haddock on our first visit and it was so delicious that we have never ordered anything else. Creatures of habit I admit but believe me it is GOOD!The portions are generous and always have enough chips in one portion for two of us and we always manage to save enough fish for our two cats who are very vocal when they smell it.I think the 'Hings' must be local celebrities because there are newspaper cuttings on the wall proclaiming the quality of their food . I assume that the lady and gentleman who are always working there together are My and Mrs Hing. Mr Hing doesn't speak to the customers but is busy frying. Make a trip and see for yourself.Highly recommended.

As a veggie, I can't comment on the fish personally, but friends and family always say they're very happy. And I'm a big fan of their chips. Nom nom nom. We actually ended up here this Mothers' Day for dinner, because we had such a rotten experience down the road at The Feathers pub and were looking for something quick and tasty to eat after. The mother was super happy with her fish supper, and we had a very lovely gentleman serve us, so thank you very much Sea Master! It's not the cheapest chippie I've come across, but sometimes it's worth paying a bit extra for quality and service with a smile.

Service is super-friendly (and sometimes the children pop out for a chat too - it's been great to watch them grow up over the years). Whilst Wong's serve a limited Chinese menu we have never tried it, sticking, instead, to a standard order of: 2xHaddock, 1 Large Chips, Curry sauce and mushy peas. This is more than enough for a hungry couple. It's best to telephone your order ahead to make sure you don't have to queue for too long (they get busy towards the weekend). Credit cards are accepted for orders over £9. The fish is succulent (and rarely dry like so many places) and the chips have a great flavour and aren't too greasy. Portions are extremely generous and our simple meal is good value at £13. Portions Weights: Each fish weighs in at c. 325g Large portion of chips is a mighty 615g Peas 250g Curry sauce 110g
