I would not recommend this law firm. I hired them after a car accident that the police report clearly stated was not my fault. They scheduled all of my medical appointments and told me I had to attend every one or it could hurt my case. I followed all of their instructions, even seeing providers I didn't personally choose, and continued treatment because they advised me to. After four months -- and thousands of dollars in medical bills -- they dropped my case over a technicality, despite the police report stating the other party was at fault. Now I'm left responsible for all of those bills. It feels like they are only willing to handle cases that are easy money. Clients are locked into contracts, but they can drop you at any time. I've since learned others have had similar experiences. If you're looking for a firm that will truly fight for you, this was not my experience. I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere. read more

I've been back-and-forth with firm several times feeling like there is no results. In all my requests, I did not feel supported with the proper representation that I feel should've been put into my case. I never received a phone call from an attorney to review the matter and ask any details that may be pertinent to help support. I selected this firm as the option to represent me as they claim to only charge 33%... Please make sure to review the main word in there is claim! Looking for a personal injury, lawyer... My case hasn't finished yet and its been over a year I've made today makes 3 times now to get a update since my mother (went with another firm) has already got her check. My 2 previous messages had been ignored both on or around a month ago and calling today at 3pm was told my lawyer was out of the office and was turned to my (case worker) was put on hold when receptionist got back told me ow they have left the day too. I was told my case would take but a couple months, again its been over a year, this was a open. And shut case and over a year later, and over a month and a half after being told all they needed was my signature and it would be done. And im being spun. And givin the run around im a about to file to have my case moved here and take the time its going to take to go with another attorney, I didn't deserve this. Do not hire this firm. I repeat...DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM. This firm engages in intentional cruelty and deceptive practices. DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM. Here's the facts of my case: 12/5/24 - I was hit by a car while crossing the street 12/5/24 - I hired this firm for representation in the case 12/7/24 - 4/20/25 - saw numerous doctors (all within the McCormick network) 5/19/25 - first time speaking with the attorney assigned to my case (Dallas Olsen) who confirmed that she had just returned to work from maternity leave & had given birth in January; she also advised that the case was being wrapped up and I needed to sign the consent to settle document (document was signed/returned the same day) 6/5/25 - asked for an update (I'd been calling 1x per week for the updates) and was told that the check from the insurance company was received 5/22/25 and cleared on 5/30/25 & the last step was to negotiate all medical bills. I questioned this b/c the ONLY doctor I saw who was not a part of their network was the ER & ambulance transport; she advised that she was having difficulties getting in touch with the hospital and they were providing limited info b/c of authorization. On the same day I called the hospital and confirmed that they had authorization since 1/16/25 and it was good through July 2025. I signed another authorization to make sure that they had extended authorization 6/18/25 - spoke to the attorney to get an update and was told that they were rejected for the reduction of the ER bill 6/18/25 - I contacted the hospital to find out why...they were rejected b/c they didn't submit the correct documentation, I followed up with the attorney and shared the information from the hospital so that this could be pushed through 7/27/25 - I sent an email to Cagney McCormick and advised of my disappointment in how my case was handled. My exact words in that email were: "My primary concern revolves around the inexplicable delay in negotiating the outstanding emergency room bill from December 5, 2024. This crucial initial bill has created a stalemate in my case and is particularly perplexing for two key reasons: 1. **It was the first medical bill received** following the incident, and should have been addressed with immediate priority; 2. **It represents the only medical service I received that was not pre-designated or arranged through your firm's network of doctors.** This distinction should have prompted a more proactive and swift resolution, rather than prolonged inaction." 6/27/25 - I received an immediate response from Cagney McCormick stating (amongst other things) "If you want less money, I can pay you out quickly but if you want more I need your patience." Cagney sent a second response approximately 15 minutes later stating "So attached is what the current breakdown is. I do not think we are going to get a bigger reduction from the ER. I have lowered my fee by $1000. If you agree to this I can have the check mailed on Monday once you sign this. Please review and let us know what you want to do." 6/29/25 - I replied to the email advising that the document for release of funds was signed/attached. I also advised that my expectation (per his email) was that the check would be mailed on Monday 6/30/25 and that tracking information would be sent to me to confirm shipment. 7/2/25 - I sent a follow up email advising that as I had not received a tracking number nor a check 7/11/25 - I received an email from Cagney McCormick asking "Have you received the check?" I replied advising that I had not received the check, however earlier that morning I received a FedEx tracking number via text and when I checked the tracking through the FedEx website, it showed that on July 11, 2025 a shipping label was created for a 2 day delivery (which meant that I would not receive the check until Monday, July 14, 2025) 7/14/25 - The check arrived. The date printed on the check was 7/11/25. Moral of this long story: 1. DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM. They have no intention on helping anyone with anything, they only want to get paid. 2. Check the BBB before hiring any firm. 3. DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM. This law firm is ABSOLUTELY horrible. They will make things much harder than what it should be. I canceled my agency with them and they still tried to hold a lien (financial interest) on my case which they did NO work on. After a lot of back and forth and being abruptly hung up on multiple times, I got it withdrew only because I had proof and recordings of false promises and had to go as far as to report them to the Texas Bar. I was involved in an accident along the interstate back in September of 2023, it is now January of 2025 and after receiving my medical treatment which ended in June of 2024 I have yet to hear anything as for any updates. You would think for a accident that happened on the interstate with a semi they would be a lot more hands on & involved but im the one having to call every couple months to see if there have been any updates. I have had 6 different case managers since filing my lawsuit & im never told when my case has been given to someone else unless I call.
