They mounted an outside receptacle to plug in our emergency power generator and installed a circuit transfer switch in our electric panel to prevent our generator power from feeding back into the power company lines. We recently had them quote a whole house standby generator and they were honest with their recommendations, and the price was comparable to what had been quoted by a local big box store. However, because we don't have natural gas service in our area, we needed to go with a large propane gas storge tank, which our HOA restrictions required to be underground, making the whole project considerably more expensive than we could justify. We like the fact that their techs and salespeople do not work on commission, nor do they try to upsell like so many area "Do it all" service companies that offer, electrical, air-conditioning & plumbing services. Sergeants does only one thing and they do it very well.

They want $3500 for that. I have never heard of an electrical company that does not bury wire. At first contact I was told that there would be a two man team for $ 140/ hr. not per manhour Which I was eventually billed. This was a surprise as one of the men was in training but still was billed at $140. Secondly, when I had called I explained one Of my needs was getting my boat lift to work again. After completion of their work I was told one side of the lift didn't work and that they don't work on boat lifts. They did get the power. Working out to the lift but that's not the purpose of hiring them. When I was out in the yard the following day I found that the cover plate had not been reinstalled on one of the junction boxes that were worked on. Another task was to figure out...never mind. Just wasn't a good experience.
