Absolutely in love with our apartment! As a young couple renting for the first time, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Our one-bedroom apartment feels so spacious and truly feels like a home. The yard-side location is perfect for our big dog, and we love how friendly and welcoming all of our neighbors are. The lake is one of our favorite features -- being able to fish whenever we want is such a bonus! The dog park is always clean and well maintained, and the pool has plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. The best part has honestly been the leasing office. They have been incredibly helpful throughout the entire process and always check in to make sure everything is going well. As first-time renters, having a team that is so friendly, responsive, and willing to help has made the experience so much easier. We absolutely love living here and would recommend this community over and over again! read more

McCauly Crossings has truly become home to me. The community is welcoming, clean, and peaceful. Holly and the management team are absolutely amazing -- always friendly, informative, and quick to help with anything you need. The pool is always spotless, the gym is available 24/7, and the amenities make life so convenient. From the dog park and walking trails to the free movie theater and valet trash, this place genuinely cares about its residents and creates a wonderful community atmosphere. read more

BEST CAMPSITE EVER! When you are here, you are truly roughing it! No refrigeration, no working washer, great ventilation and light spectrum effect with the jagged glass holes in the windows. The stunning pond with its deadly green algae and monstrous snapping turtles add so much tranquility. Enjoy swarms of bees and defecating geese. If you like to sauna, use your dryer and enjoy the hot damp air from the stuffed exterior exhausts. The overflowing dumpsters provide a breathtaking aroma and mountainesque landscape, you can actually taste "the mountains." If trying to avoid ICE raids, escape through the 2/3s unsecure property with many open gates. HAPPY CAMPING read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would, but I'll accept the 1 star because the only thing this apartment has done for us that I appreciated, was getting us in as fast as they did, my husband and I were in desperate need of finding a place quickly, as an incident at our old house of 3 years forced us to unexpectedly have to relocate. When we moved in back in December, the old property manager, Cecilia, was very sweet to us. But because we needed a place to go, we really didn't have time to shop around, or we would have never landed here, we ignored a ton of things we didn't like simply to get moved in somewhere. I almost can't put into words the amount of issues we've had here, The portal they use for their residents to pay rent is consistently wrong, and because of this, my husband and I choose to pay rent with a check one month, we will never do that again because it took them an entire month to take that money out of our bank and by time they took it out, It was like we had to pay rent twice because next months was due when they finally took it out for the previous month. I swear these people just bang their head on a keyboard and decide that's the total you owe, "resident billing" is upwards of $300 a month on top of rent, for what, I don't know, just a way for corporate to get more money out of their residents and this isn't even including your electric bill through Duke. They market themselves as luxury apartments, which is completely comical, they charge luxury prices and you're living in a very old building that has been "renovated" with the landlord special. I'm going to insert some pictures of the way this apartment was WHEN WE MOVED IN! They did send someone out to reseal the edges of the laminate flooring, but it's still coming up around all the edges, there are trashy paint drips on all of the doors paint on all of the door knobs, the air vents are filthy, mold under the caulk in the shower, dumpsters constantly overflowing and smell putrid, the list goes on. My husband and I have just collectively agreed that we're just going to get through these last 5 and 1/2 months here until we can get out. But I urge everyone to not just blindly look at Google reviews like we did, half of them are fake and scripted, right when you move in, they pressure you to come in and fill out a piece of paper for a review, at the time I gave a good review, but we had literally lived here for maybe 2 weeks. And don't even get me started on the outrageous move-in costs. Please look around at other review hubs before considering this place. There are so many ACTUAL luxury apartments that you can move into for the same price as here, don't settle, things are so expensive anymore, demand and expect what you pay your hard earned money for. These people act like everyone should be able to sell out thousands every month while getting the bare minimum. read more

I would not recommend. A lot of shady practices, lack of follow up and true fixes with maintenance requests and a lot of "nickel and dime" practices to milk as much money as possible out of you. Luxury in word only, this is just a warning to avoid leasing here. The warnings, frustrations and concerns in other reviews are valid; questionable practices, poor maintenance follow through, shoddy workmanship etc. After a while, I have come to expect malpractice of some sort so I don't even get frustrated anymore. I would just encourage anyone looking to not only thoroughly check out the apartments don't just accept what you see at a glance, have second eyes also to look over the paperwork and not allow yourself to be pressured by sales tactics. Lastly, thoroughly check into the management group and their mannerisms and contractual practices. If you do all of these things you can make an informed decision and save yourself some trouble. I usually refrain from writing reviews but this is the best I can do to help make others aware if you're considering this place of residence. read more

My sink was flooding and leaking . It took weeks to be able to get anyone to take a look at it . Once the lead tech , Jason Gibbs, finally took a look at it , he covered the sink in glue and it still leaks to this day. The water pressure in that sink is also low and barely comes on. When I tried to speak to the property manager , Melissa Demolin, about this issue, she was quick to shut me down. Her and her associates have hung up the phone on my face , and made it uncomfortable and unwelcoming for me to get any kind of help. Great location, security, privacy , and spacey apartments. However, the discomfort surrounding maintenance requests make the experience quite difficult. Also, the washer and dryer are extremely cheap and have destroyed most of my clothes. Not sure if I'm gonna be able to get help from maintenance about that read more

Horrible experience! The Connor Group is a corrupt investment group! I'm going to attach pictures so people know what really goes on. I don't blame the current property manager I blame the group she works for. They are a "no lease break" which means even if you lose your job and are forced to relocate for work, you will be stuck paying your rent through the end of the lease and there is nothing you can do. I was told I could sublet when I first moved in, but when I got a house in the middle of my lease, I was told subletting is no longer an option. On top of that, I'm stuck paying $120 a month in pets fees when my pets have been gone for months. You will be forced to bundle their internet and pay for their trash fees which can be increased at any time during your lease and likely will be. When I first moved in I paI'd $190 a month in addition to rent, for their trash, internet, water and cable. Now I pay almost $250 a month. You cannot opt out of these services. My unit has also flooded twice in a year. Still wont replace the dirty carpet. My toilet malfunctioned and overflowed dirty toilet water onto my carpet, yet they are too cheap to replace it. I've been battling mold with them for months. They claim they tested it but I never got the results. Went to my doctor because I was getting rashes and died throats every day. This place is far from luxury. Windows are old aluminum windows and leak waters which is part of the reason I got mold all the time. The trash policy is horrendous. There is one dumpster for like 400 units and it's constantly full. Yet we all pay $80 a month in trash fees... do the math! This place is a scam. Lastly they say they are in "Blue Ash" but you will pay sharonville city taxes. I notified the office and nothing was done about their false advertising. I contacted both cities and they both confirmed that McCauley Crossing is not Blue Ash, but rather Sharonville. Save your money and find a real luxury apartment. This isn't it. read more

They charge you about $200+ in random fees every month and you can't get out of it. One example is $75 for someone to come pick up your trash (even if they don't come get it, even if you take it up yourself.) Shoddy craftsmanship. The amount of times I had stepped on nails sticking out of the carpet. When we got there, the toilet pump was being held together by a paperclip. The caulking was awful (and disgusting) and water was getting under the floor in the bathroom. I had said something to the maintenance guy about the extremely poor paint job and he said "Oh, he was new, he didn't really know what he was doing." Neat. Our neighbor in particular kept coming out on her porch and making rude and unnecessary comments to us when we were hanging out on our porch. Management didn't give a sh&t, seems like they never said anything at all to her. Upon moving out, we left that apartment spotless. Me, my husband, my mom, and my uncle had all scrubbed the hell out of it. We barely even lived in it. They charged us $150 to clean the freezer, around $80 claiming we "stole" their cheap smoke detector (Was not there upon moving in. + You can get a pack of 4 for $50. + Who the F steals a smoke detector?) Upon many other unnecessary "cleaning" fees. Those cleaners probably had the easiest job of their lives that day. Don't bother. Find somewhere else. Your bank account, your wife, or both will be much happier elsewhere. read more

DO NOT RENT HERE. All previous reviews are true. Staff glosses over the overpriced "utilities addendum" on move in..i continue to be burned by that one...Told 150 a month...its almost 300 and you are forced to pay 129 for cable...i didn't even have the equipment the last 3 months. Repeatedly lied to by the rotating office staff that is incapable of apologising. Rented there to get fenced back yard for my dogs. CONSTANTLY flooded the entire 10 months we stayed there...currently its a toxic green sludge puddle. Management never fixed it or compensated me for it. Absolutely the WORST experience I have ever had in my entire life! If you see this post RUN! DO NOT RENT FROM THESE CRIMINALS! Apartment was full of mold and has made me extremely ill and it's been 9 months since we moved out. My baby ended up in the hospital for 2 days with respiratory issues and my twins also had severe respiratory issues. These people do not care. Had the health department come out and they informed them there was mold. Since the complex is technically Sharonville and Butler County, it falls under the responsibility of the Hamilton County Health Department. All these people did was caulk over the mold around both tubs and pushed the toilet back in an attempt to conceal the mold growing along the wall. Black mold was growing all inside the toilet bowl tanks. When I initially put in a maintenance request, these idiots wrote on the slip they left in my apartment "mold where?" I gave notice I was moving out 6 months after signing the lease. None of the windows opened in my first-floor apartment. Put in maintenance requests and nothing was ever resolved. Horrible sewage back up and all these people did was place fans under the carpet and thought that was sufficient. Rent escrow is a JOKE and they will schedule months out and expect you to continue paying rent until they decide they are ready to deal with it. How are you supposed to afford to move elsewhere?!?!? Rescheduled the hearing 3 times because the complex's attorney didn't show up to court or wasn't ready. Needless to say, I didn't win. Butler County Area III Court!!!! I have 5 kids, was going through a contentious divorce that involved domestic violence. I still own my home, but didn't feel safe so under duress I got in bed with the devil. Everything they are saying about the incredibly random and expensive fees is all correct. Not one lie told. Now their resident billing services is billing me over $1600 for 6 months of utilities for an apartment I DID NOT OCCUPY!!!!!! During my short stay there, they had 4 different "office managers". One in particular would ignore my emails. Contacted customer service for the Connor Group and no one ever responded. Spectrum constantly has some sort of an outage, and it's all contracted through the complex so you cannot opt out or select only certain services. The painting on the cabinets looks like one of my 5 year olds did it. They used flooring on a roll in attempt to make the apartment look "updated." The stuff wasn't even tacked down properly and was coming up around the toilets, tub, dishwasher, and bathroom vanities. I did my own DIY testing and there was at least 4 different types of mold growing in the toilet bowls. The furnace filter, all the vents, dishwasher. It all had mold that grew in my petri dishes. Lots of foreigners that don't speak English when I lived there. The toilet in the club house has shit splatters all over it for weeks before someone finally came to clean it. I've got a plethora of photos so please see for yourself. read more

HOW CAN A LEASE BE BINDING, IF YOU HAVENT BEEN APPROVED and you call to be professional to say, im no longer interested BEFORE APPROVAL? THIS PLACE IS A JOKE. Went to see an apartment. I don't usually leave reviews to scrutinize a business but I think in this case it is called for. I am disappointed by the persistent dog barking issue at McCauley Crossing. I've lived in McCauley since December 2020. There are things I asked to have fixed since three months after I moved in. There are things that should have been fixed inside and outside. There are people that work here that I dearly love. But there have been rude people that Talked down to me basically called me a liar. I won't go into great detail. But I also would not lie. The bathroom in this place is atrocious. It is nasty, toilet paper and paper towels all over the floor it reeks of piss. There's no soap to wash your hands with and it's been like this for weeks. The pool is another issue, when it is good it's good but when it's not it's not. The lake in front of my apartment smells horrible. It's covered with nasty looking green stuff. The flies and mosquitoes are awful. There are thousand Leggers in my apartment. Some of these employees care but can only do so much. It's Connor group that I have my issue with!!! read more

Everyone has their own experiences and usually only people with bad experiences tend to leave a detailed review. I wish I would have taken more caution after reading some reviews. Please consider this review for your own sanity and I will leave out my personal experiences as they are horrible but not general that everyone will be exposed to. 1. This is not a luxury apartment. That is the biggest lie. There is not a single luxurious thing at this complex. 2. Apartments are mediocre at best, shoddy workmanship and low quality of fixtures in apartments (counters, lights, doors, cabinet, bath tub, shelves, washer/dryer, etc.) 3. They partake in predatory business practices, overcharge, and flat out lie - do not sign this kind of lease. You will regret it so please consider carefully. 4. Fitness center/pool area is not upkept regularly. Sometimes it does get cleaned but most of the time, it does not. 5. Major spider infestation. 6. Trash compacter is overflowing which attracts flies, bugs, rodents, and an awful smell if you must go near it. 7. The $75 trash pick up fee is INSANE. There will be trash outside for days before it is picked up. 8. Maintenance team is unqualified and completely unprofessional. 9. They OVERCHARGE. Rent is way too high for the quality of housing, all tenants PAY for the electricity used by the grounds, office, fitness center, etc. You will rack up a lot of additional fees on top of high rent. One of the best days of my life is moving out of this place. You have my deepest sympathy if you are considering this place or if you just moved in. read more

The property is great and Amber & Lexi are amazing! I have never experienced customer service of this caliber. They genuinely care about all of their tenants. They always take the time to chat and I love running into them on the property or popping in for a visit. They both remember things I've told them and always ask how my husband, Corgi's is doing & how my brother & 88 year old mom who lives in Florida, is doing. This past fall when I stopped by the rental office for a visit Lexi immediately sensed my frustration with having three storage units, offsite and needing something here, but didn't want to go to the storage unit to get it. Right away she told me that they had an open garage and said she could go ahead and get me the keys to it in just a matter of minutes. My stress level immediately went down. I was so impressed that Lexi fixed things without me having to ask! When Amber & Lexi found out that I was sick a couple months back Lexi called me right away to check on me. She immediately said she would go to the store to pick up anything I needed. I was so touched I cried. Where else can you find this genuine caring? I don't believe you can. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Amber and Lexi. The Connor group should be immensely proud of both of them & how they represent the property. A 5 star rating more than deserved! read more

Moved here less than 3 months ago & have had the absolute worst experience. Our apartment has spiders issues and they are fairly big, apartment complex has sprayed 3x and nothing seems to do the job... we have requested professionals to come in, front office said they would be here a certain day they gave me no time to when they would show... that day comes and they never came! Now we have a baby under 1 that likes to get around & we can't even let her do that without the fear of her getting bit by a spider. Every night we have to shake out our blankets and check baby's crib for anything. Not only that but when we spoke with the front office prior to moving they had told us it was month to month lease.. when we arrived to sign the contract get the keys etc. they presented us with a year lease. Since we were moving from out of state we had no choice but to sign unless we wanted to be without a home... absolute worst place we have ever rented...cannot wait to get the hell out of here. Oh and don't be fooled by the "gated " community gates only surround the front. Rest of the complex is wide open for anyone off the street to walk in!! Oh and also rent is over 2k then electric is over $100 then the hidden fees are about $200 WORST APARTMENTS EVER DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!!!! read more

McCauley's garbage can is a health hazard. There were ants, rodents, flies and maggots crawling throughout the huge mountain of trash that was pilled in front of the can itself. You don't want kids or dogs, or frankly anyone having to deal with that. Their termination clause was extremely ambiguous. Before I signed, I asked the FOL if I would be able to break my lease by paying just a couple months rent and giving them adequate notice (30days). They of course agreed. Naturally. I didn't think anything of this because every apartment I'd ever lived at operated under this condition. Wrong again. When I went in to give my notice and collect the paperwork to give them the two months rent I was told: "I would have to pay rent throughout the rest of my contract. Not just rent, but the FB (First Billing) too." That's right, First Billing too. That means, you have to pay for cable you wouldn't be watching, trash you wouldn't be filling up, water you won't be using and "general electric" (electricity for their main office/ property lights) for a place you won't be living at. Which comes up to about 300+ dollars a month ON TOP OF RENT. Which brings my total cost to ending my lease to $1300/month for rent, 300/month for First Billing, and 300 dollars in "damages" related to my vacant apartment that means $8300 for the time between 9/2017-1/2018... the entirety of which I DID NOT LIVE THERE. Here is the kicker folks.... My "damages" added up very nicely to the $300 dollar deposit. Coincidence? I think not. Fact of the matter is this a SHITTY place to live, and they full take advantage of those who currently live there. Mandy Foster and the rest of the women who sell their souls to promote this hell hole are con men. Pure and simple. Do your self a favor and look elsewhere. Keep your hard earned money and spend it elsewhere. Luxury is the overstatement of a lifetime. There is no value associated with the price you pay. Sub par at best. Paper thin walls, faulty appliances, raggedy drywall patchwork. You are forced into a cable and internet package that doesn't even amount to basic. Avoid this apartment complex at all times! I lived there for 1 year and the entire time I was having issues with management trying to fix the terrible apartment fixtures. The walls were super thin, the backsplash fell apart within the week, they never added outlet covers to "our brand new" apartment the entire year. Also, they ended up charging me hundreds of dollars for damages that i didn't do without notice until 6 months after I moved out through their debt collector (which is illegal). My toilet was broken at one point and they're supposed to have on call maintenance, so I called and the maintenance guy said that since I was in a two bedroom (each bedroom has a bathroom) then he isn't allowed to come fix my personal toilet. It was a horrible place to live. Save your money and find somewhere better. You won't regret it.

Thought it prudent to add: the management team refused to make any concessions when I nearly lost my job during the height of pandemic. Terrible customer service when I even mentioned the thought of giving me a month to sort out new employment before rent was due for the month. I did not have blinds in my apartment for 5 months upon move in. The garbage disposal and dishwasher were broken upon move in. There were popcorn kernels all over the apt. Window frames were broken. And dead bugs in every corner. It's been over a year since I lived there and still regret every day I spent at that place. read more

Currently living here and from the start it's been nothing but disappointing. We moved cross country, the apartment we were promised was nothing like how they said it would look. The carpet and countertops were disgusting, painters did a horrible job and the cabinet paint was already chipped. They said we would have vinyl flooring in the living room to kitchen and when we asked, they said no. The charges are ridiculous. They even overcharged us before moving here and we never got the "move in special" and don't even count on the "newly renovated" units. The only "plus" is the in unit laundry but that's it. I'm writing this more as a warning for anyone touring this place as potential renters. If you go in for a tour, they harass the mess out of you once you leave. It doesn't matter if you told them you aren't interested or want to look elsewhere. I've received 4 phone calls, a text, and an email from them, and I was only there two days ago. I even told the leasing agent today that we signed somewhere else, and they still called AGAIN to see if I was interested. They're definitely desperate for business, which is not a good sign. The place we picked had several people wanting the apartment, and we just happened to get there first. If you have to BEG people to live there, then you're doing something wrong. The apartment we toured, by the way, was gross. It was a one bedroom on the top floor with a den. Vaulted ceilings, but honestly, that's just aesthetics. That doesn't make up for the poor condition of the apartment. I know every apartment is going to have vinyl, but this one literally had the vinyl creeping up the side of the toilet in the bathroom and the cabinets in the kitchen. The kitchen is also VERY outdated, and the apartment smelled very bad as if something died in there not too long ago. They wanted over $1,000 for that, and the apartment we ended up renting in Glendale has two bedrooms, twos baths, and remodeled kitchens and new carpet and it was 300 square feet larger than what McCauly wanted, and it was cheaper. Don't waste your time. If you still want to take a tour, give them a fake email and phone number so they can't annoy you like they did us. read more
