We were very impressed with the selection and the overall professionalism. We had them come down and measure so we could get an accurate price. We compared the Flooring Centers quote with the other quotes we received from local flooring vendors and were very pleased with the Flooring Centers quote. We've had the water mitigated by another company, have estimates of the damage, insurance is making it right again and we are starting to restore. Inquired whether Jensen's does this type of work. They do. I asked, "Could we get an estimate?" Their response: "Maybe you should go with another company, we are a month out". My response: "That's ok, everything is 6-8 weeks out". Their response: "Something about your request doesn't seem right and I feel uncomfortable with this situation." My response: "What could be uncomfortable, I am asking for a service, you said you do this type of work. Do you not want to do business?" Them: "I am uncomfortable with insurance being involved and you have an estimate already from another place, why don't you go with them." My response: "Insurance isn't an issue, they are paying to rehab what is needed, the first company who mitigated the water gave us an estimate on the repair but we are looking at our options, so we found you online." I say, "It seems you are suggesting there is something odd about our request. I ask again, "Do you not want our business?". Their response, "No." So rather than saying they don't want our business to begin with, they push us to seek another provider then say there is something that makes them feel uncomfortable about our request. That is just strange to suggest to a customer! Just say you don't want to do a job, one that I can only assume must've been assessed as a "smaller" job. Be upfront with the customer! Not a good interaction.

I didn't want to make everyone wait and I didn't want to criticize the workers in from of them, so I didn't walk around and check every inch of the carpet. Within a week there was a loop exposed on one of the seams where the carpet edges meet. The owner came back and cut it off. Very nice for him to do a home visit, but I could've cut it off all by myself (and risked it fraying further without any help). I thought he'd do something more permanent and professional. A few months later there was another large loop coming up on a different seam and he said he'd come over and GLUE it. I figured I could do that too so didn't make him come. At any rate, it's still unglued and raveling off and I am frustrated with their work. The edges are uneven around the fireplace and it's just plain shoddy workmanship.

False promise, fake story after false promise. The crazy thing is he will keep showing up and showing face for a while. One time he dropped off materials and it was 4 pieces of plywood randomly at the job site. Lol. After 2 years finally "the house materials from two years ago" we're about to be delivered, they never did obviously, and he blocked our number. We also received a notice in the mail, that he had taken a high interest loan out with our address as the project name, and they were trying to collect payment from him. Essentially we paid him $30k to startup, he borrowed $30k from a lender. He never bought materials for our project, so he had $60k that was no where to be seen and not being used for our project. We believe he is borrowing from peter to pay Paul. Before this, he did a spiral staircase in our house and the steps are uneven. Different widths. He also didn't clean up after himself. Also, I guess a neighbor hired him after seeing his sign in our yard, apparently that went south and the guy threatened a gun on him. All in all, I wouldn't trust this guy to paint a door.
