I had a little bit of sticker shock from the first quote so decided this would be worth getting multiple quotes on. And Home Build was one of them due to their stellar Yelp reviews. I called them and they were able to send Oscar out right away. They told me to save 60 -90 min for the consultation, which seemed like a lot of time considering every other company just needed 5-10 min of my time. However, i was willing to invest the time for the right doors and right price. Oscar and i met for over an hour. He was super friendly and knowledgeable about all my door options. He brought along a presentation (via his ipad), as well as materials so we got it all done within that hour. The other companies took a lot less, but resulted in a few trips to my house and lots of back and forth via email. I honestly probably prefer the latter since less time all at once. In the end I went with a different company due to price, but thought this company offered a good product at competitive pricing so would be worth looking into them.

Provia entry door and storm door installation…read more We contacted Next Door and Window after doing a deep dive research on the web on an installer other than Feldco Windows and doors. I wanted someone that would install the Provia doors to perfection. I called Next Door and Window and was immediately in contact with a sales person. I gave them all my specs since we already knew what we wanted because we had recently cancelled an order with Feldco windows and doors. (After signing the contract, I cancelled them because of bad reviews from a family member). My communication with NDW was pleasant. A project manager was assigned to our project as well. We didn't have to sit with a salesperson because as I mentioned, we already knew what we wanted. We chose the Legacy steel door made by Provia and the storm door. The salesman was not pushy or overbearing but very informative about how to get the pricing down to a reasonable price within our budget. After several emails, we finalized on a price and was given a date within 2 weeks when the measurement team would come out to make final measurements. We were informed that our timing was perfect for us to get doors before the winter months would set in. Fast forward to October 26, 2023, The truck arrived with our new doors and the installation person (Zach) arrived 30 minutes later. The work started at 8:30 AM and finished at 1:30 PM. I must admit that I was a bit apprehensive about them sending out only one person to do the install. But after it was all done, I must admit it was done properly. l asked the installer why he didn't wear a mask while dealing with older buildings like ours (1952) , but he couldn't really answer why. I still think it's a lot of work for one person, even after the work has been done. The install went well with the exception of a slip of the tool that caused a dent in the door way facing upward towards the top. It's not real noticeable and was fixed with a touch of glue and touch up paint. Then the big pile of saw dust he left outside which we had to clean up. I'm not sure how that was missed. But again, I think it's too much work for one person. . The quality and finish of the doors are stunningly superb. Totally impressed overall. If not for the slip of the tool and the saw dust we had to remove I could give 5 stars. But instead I give 4 stars. no regrets. Total price, $7,766 after discounts.

Not only do the new windows look sleek and modern, but the entire process was top-notch from start to finish. What really stood out to us was their honesty. They pointed out that our house has high-density older wood framing that was worth preserving. Following their advice preserved the character and strength of our home while saving us a significant amount of money. Their communication was excellent throughout the project, and the installation crew was fantastic: punctual, respectful, and meticulous about keeping the worksite clean. Eventually made it to scheduling 8 weeks out... fast forward to today OCT 1st... I never received a confirmation that they were coming or a time frame they would arrive. They show up unannounced while I'm at work and are repeatedly calling/emailing me. The office manager, Leslie, left me a nasty email. When told that I was not home because they never confirmed, she replied with "We do not work that way. Never have, never will." She was extremely rude and unprofessional. They were not happy that they traveled a distance and I was not home due to the lack of communication. How is this a proper way to conduct business? It is 2026. A confirmation that you were coming and a time frame is pretty standard for business nowadays. If you're mad about me not being home and you traveling a distance then maybe you should have confirmed the appointment. They also didn't even offer to reschedule. When I told them I could have someone there in an hour I was told we had to cancel the job all together. My business clearly means nothing to them. Needless to say I do not recommend using them for anything.
