When our old vet retired, we had to find a new one. 1 of the Dr's from our old clinic had recently moved over to the HSB Vet Clinic. We thought we were making a smart move my switching everyone over there since we were already familiar with her. That turned out to be the BIGGEST mistake! When I discovered something abnormal on my corgi's scrotum area, I took him in. She did not do any testing whatsoever, looked at it, had another Dr look at it, came back & told me that they believe it to be a form of cancer. She continued to tell me that due to his age & medical history, she didn't feel as though he would be a candidate for a biopsy because he probably wouldn't be able to pass the anesthesia & they didn't think they would be able to stop the bleeding. In short, she was basically telling me he should be put to sleep. Something in my gut didn't feel right. I decided to get a 2nd opinion. Made the appt with Dr. DeFiley, took ALL of his records. She was more optimistic. In all of his prior blood tests, his platelets were all in a normal range. So there shouldn't be an issue with clotting. She did the surgery & sent what was removed for testing. Turns out it was NOT cancer! This was such a relief! To think that the other vet made no effort at all to help my Flapjack & suggested he be put to sleep infuriates me! Needless to say, we are extremely happy with Dr. DeFiley & will doing all of our business with her at Bluebonnet! She's truly cares about the wellbeing of your fur babies.

I called multiple facilities, they were the first to call back. The vet was not only knowledgeable and experienced, but very nice. She met us there, and did a great job putting my daschund's ripped apart back, back together. (she tried to steal a toy from the wrong dog :-( ). The bill was more than reasonable!! I'm also upset at myself that I didn't further investigate, but most people take the word of a professional. I will be moving our animals elsewhere and am considering taking legal action.

In an unfortunate misunderstanding between my wife and I we put a stop payment on the recent payment that had been pulled for the first dog due to the plan to pull her from the location. We corrected the situation so that we could go through the process of having the one go back, and we were gonna get training for the other one that is dealing with being timid. We were told that the owners would have to approve either one of the dogs being there because of the stop payment, even though we had taken care of everything from the very beginning. All payments have been made on time despite that issue. When they finally got back with us, they told us that they could not take the dogs anymore because of what it happened. Obviously the owners do not believe in grace or forgiveness from what we can see. My review reflects the fact that while it is a nice facility and the workers do a great job with the dogs, from our experience, the ownership needs some prayer. So in response to Jana and what she posted. To say that payment was made later is very misleading. Payment was actually made on the same day that the issue took place. You make it seem as if it happened up to a week or more later. That is untrue and I do not appreciate it being posted as if that was the case. When we came in to pick the dogs up that afternoon, we informed the front desk person Aaron what had gone on and said we wanted to make sure that we still took care of any bills that were due and I immediately put it on another card just so that that payment was taken immediately, so please rephrase your statement unless you choose to mislead people in what really happened.

We went to a couple of places, one even where you can watch on an app that was closer to us, but when we went to visit the place, we did not like the "vibe" of the place. When we took a tour (just call, and they will let you take a look at the facility before hand) of Paws Landing, we immediately felt great! We had our puppy for an half day "evaluation" with Durenda, which also made us feel at ease. She is marvelous!!! When we picked her up from that, she went over everything she did, and how she thought our puppy would do. They had her in a small yard first and let our puppy feel safe before they had her with the other dogs. I really like too, how they have the dogs separated into "small dogs", " large dogs" and "very active dogs". She has a great team working with her, watching over them, and most importantly taking care of them all day. They will always send you a text and email to confirm your reservation, which is great. They go inside and outside to play all day. If they go "all day" they will get a 2-hour rest, so they get a break from all the fun! But, believe me, when you pick your dog, they will be tired when they get home, which is "good thing"! Pam will send you pictures later via text of your dog, which is great to see at the end of the day. Now, that my dog has gone for awhile, she gets excited when we get there, and she is excited to see Pam and her team when I drop her off.
