First of all, all respect should be known and given to my current Landlord, Jessica A. She is the best at what she does let me tell you she will do anything she can in order to help her residents and her work ethic is Superb ! Her kindness, and her knowledge of Apartments and Townhomes is incredible. Scott G. was here last year, and we were all blessed to have him here for the time(s) we were blessed to have him, but then once he told me he's moving on to Texas, I said well, shoot, I do hope they find another excellent manager again. If you think about it, most people who live in any apartment or townhome know who their Landlord is and most likely the leasing agent too, but I bet not all of them out there are GREAT like Scott G. & Jessica A. are to me, to all of our residents here and you can literally see they care with their verbal and non verbal communication skills. They both have the best communication skills I've ever witnessed and they how to show empathy to anyone who has a concern to be raised and then fixed. I was so worried they wouldn't ever find another good, caring, and thoughtful manager again, but guess what ? They totally did ! I am so thankful for this and I firmly believe that God blessed The Wooten Property Management Company, based here in Springfield, Missouri with hiring Jessica to manage Polo Club Apartments affairs.

WARNING to anyone considering this spot: If I knew this before, I wouldn't have signed a lease…read morehere. At first, I had a very pleasant experience with the front office. Since I was signing a lease in October (out of their leasing season which is April-September, I was limited to two lease options: a 9-month lease or an 18-month lease. I thought the 18-month lease made the most sense, but because I was unsure if I would stay for a full 18 months, I asked what the options were if I wanted to terminate the lease early. I was told the only things I would have to do would be: 1. give 30 days notice and 2. pay the buyout fee. Fast forward one year later, my husband and I had bought a house and reached out to the office to put in our 30 days notice. I was told by the front desk that wasn't an option, because they only allow 2 buyouts per month. She let me know they already had 2 buyouts for October, November, December and January, which meant the earliest I could buy out of my lease was February. Since my lease ended in April, it would have cost me more to buy out of the lease in Feb than if I just paid through the rest of the lease. They were not flexible on this at all, regardless of the fact that it was never mentioned to us or listed in the lease. When I asked where it was written in the lease I was told "It's not in there, but that's how we've always done things". This conversation coming from the same person who I spoke to initially when signing the lease and asked about the termination steps. If there is 1% of you that thinks they might need to terminate your lease early, find a different spot.

They got their $130 application fee & I was approved immediately, but it went down hill from there. I was moving from out of town, so timing was critical. It took them 2 weeks to send the lease to me via email, which were not the terms that the leasing agent had described (like a bait & switch?). I emailed with questions (at this point it's two weeks from my planned move in date) and 5 days passed with no reply. Thank God I listened to my gut and went with a different property.
