This place has a decent refund policy with enough advance notice, so if you are considering the Nethery Estate, book early. There are not a lot of rooms here and it appears from the pictures inside of it that groups/families tend to rent all of them for events, so it can fill up quickly. The estate is a nifty place. It is an older style home, but well kept. You park in the back and are texted a code for the gate to get in. The key to your room is left outside on the back porch and you go to your room as you would like. Definitely a colonial style home with a suit of armor next to the stairs (that's true). If you look closely around, you will see several references to Harry Potter, which my wife enjoyed finding and we looked around. Our room was awesome, with a nice couch and TV in front of it, a small table to sit at to eat, a comfy bed, and a separate bathroom with a cool tiled shower. Downstairs has a small sitting area, a bar, and another room has the long dining room table. My wife and I were comfortable walking into the place and going in and out of our room to activities as we saw fit. We did encounter some of the other guests, but only briefly. There is a small ice machine, which we used while we were there. And there is a mini-fridge next to it that guests had put in some leftovers as there aren't fridges in the rooms (which is all fine because Tiffany handles some of the cooking for you!). My wife and I went outside to hang out for a while because we had been at the zoo during the day and it was 86 degrees -- which is hot for us Oregonians for the beginning of April. We brought swim wear as the first amenity listed on Netherly's site is the salt pool. Sadly, it was not heated and still appeared to have some small branches from the property in it. It hadn't been warm enough for long enough for it to be available. The hot tub adjacent to it didn't have water, but honestly, I didn't remember anything mentioned on the website about a hot tub, so it was not anything I was expecting anyway. We can and enjoyed the back yard for a little bit, but opted to go inside and take a shower to cool off and then head out for activities. The first morning I had paid extra to have food delivered to our room. It is a good thing I put on some pants when I opened the door because Tiffany walked in to set down the food on the table for us. I've been to a couple other B&Bs and it is usually left outside, but I figured I'd not answer in the nude and that was a good idea. We were told she enters to set things up to ensure we don't eat in the bed as it is a nightmare to clean up (and I believe it). We had chopped potatoes, some waffles, and a little bit of fruit. More than enough for my wife and I. The next day we ate at the large table downstairs. We ate with a couple from France that had come to view the eclipse. Tiffany was very pleasant and talkative during that time. I cannot specifically remember all of the food, but it included more chopped potatoes, some toast, and I cannot remember what else. It was good food, though, and more than enough for me to eat. Tiffany also gave us a dessert cornmeal kind of muffin that was pretty good as well. For my personal experience, I look to the front page of Nethery's page that touts "Southern Hospitality Hotel Accommodations with a Pool" that the next page says is open in spring. summer, and fall. I don't think the site even mentions a hot tub, so no worries on that. It may not have been warm enough for the pool to really work out so early in April, but we were looking forward to having a more private pool than one found at a large hotel. The home is beautiful and sitting outside to bask in the sun is nice. Getting in and out was easy and the room we had was awesome. If you pay to have breakfast in your room, make sure you are dressed. You get generous portions and the food is pretty good! But look -- the pool thing aside, which I wouldn't want anyone reading this to make too big of a deal about as it didn't ruin any plans and wasn't the primary reason for my choosing Nethery Estate, we had a great time. My wife was very pleased that Nethery Estate was where we spent our 2nd anniversary together. It is certainly it's own experience and Tiffany is a great host, so if you are considering staying here -- book it.

We have stayed a few times now and I highly recommend Shearing Weekend for anyone who enjoys a hard days work on a farm along with great experiences and meeting wonderful new people! My husband and I have done shearing weekend two years in a row and this will hopefully be a tradition for us. Jim and Rita a fantastic hosts and we always meet interesting new people, and some that we have formed friendships with. I'm glad we took a chance on this unique Bed and Breakfast, I recommend it to anyone who loves animals and a romantic weekend away, but still close enough to town to enjoy dinner out!

Upon check-in, I found a note from one of the nice maids inviting me to enjoy my stay and feel free to use the amenities. I did notice the customary chocolate was absent but this is a minor quibble. After some time enjoying the facility, I decided to avail myself of the on-site dining options and chose the lasagna with garlic bread. Because my assistant and I were seated with a view of the kitchen area, I glimpsed an interaction between the manager and two of the chefs during dinner preparation that was surprising. It seemed one of the chefs had burned the garlic bread. The senior chef and the manger got into a bit of a row and the senior chef threatened to quit as the poor chef who'd burned the garlic bread hurriedly prepared a new serving...WITH the help of the manager! It seems the manager really didn't want to have the senior chef walk out on him hah! Dinner was delicious and quite filling, I wasn't even able to finish the portion they gave me and I split it with my assistant. Note that on the way to dinner, I noticed one of the poor cabana boys passed out on a lounge. They work them so hard that I couldn't even rouse the boy when I tried. He did appear later in the evening and accompanied us on the shuttle to local shopping and told several very funny jokes. The missing chocolate upon check in and the silverware at dinner being somewhat plain (I was expecting sterling silver cutlery in an establishment of this class) were really the only negatives. My assistant did not care for the art work - specifically the paintings - hung in the entry way and stated this as we exited. Definitely recommend a stay with this place!

Unfortunately, the property isnt open to the general public, so if you dont have a scheduled meeting or training here with an organization/company, the property will not be open to you. The hotel, previously called IDEARC, is about 77 wooded acres located across the Dallas Fort Worth airport. The hotel offers free shuttle pick up services. You will need to call the hotel after your arrival to notify them of which terminal you'll be at. The pick up is usually located at a courtesy van pick up location. The food at the hotel was outstanding. They offered a large variety of food/desserts/dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have many food prep people that cook your dish on the spot, make your sandwich right when you order it, or serve you any of the food from the buffet. After checking in and obtaining a key card, you'll never have to pay with cash here. Just "charge it to the room". If your company purchases the meal plan, all you have to do is flash your room key card so you dont pay anything and nothing is charged to your room. Of course, you'll have to pay if you arent staying at the hotel. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. You will hear the occassional airplane fly overhead but after a while you get used to it. TV has many cable channels and there is a mini fridge in the room. Microwaves are located in an assigned location on each floor, not in the rooms. The bath amenities are all Bath & Body Works products. Free wifi in the rooms too! The training rooms are comfortable with good technical devices for powerpoint presentations. Every morning there were a line of coffee (reg and decaf), hot water, water bottles, juice bottles, and sodas along with breakfast pastries or breakfast bars and fruit. We were never hungry because they fed us so much!!! In the afternoon, the food options changed to yummie chocolate chip or peanut butter cookies. Had a great stay here. Wouldnt mind coming back for training here again!
