I called McAllister Tree Services to remove a tree that was falling on my shed. They came out on time and evaluated the issue and put a priority on my work because the forecast for the next couple of days was for very bad weather and they were afraid the tree would go all the way over and crush my shed. They showed up the next day at the appointed time and in 2 hours they removed a huge 40'+ tree that was leaning over the shed without doing any further damage to the shed. I had received other bids for this work and they were the least expensive by a long shot. They have the equipment, knowledge and positive attitude that provides excellent customer service. I rarely write reviews because I only do it when I have strong feelings about the vendor. This is a rare case where those feelings were inspired by outstanding Customer Service. These folks are Economical, Punctual, Honest, Efficient, and Hard Working. I would recommend then to anyone who needs tree work done. read more

McAllister has a contract with Sawnee EMC in Cumming to trim rights of way. Though that's not a problem with me, they showed up UNANNOUNCED, waking me out of a sound sleep (I work nights), drove partly thru my yard (which was not necessary), and would have damaged my septic field line, but were decent to me once confronted. I was quick to point out that this was MY PROPERTY, and not to forget it. In the end, McAllister's crew dropped 4 trees, cut them up for firewood for me, and were gone within one hour. There will be another crew coming to trim where McAllister's people could not get to. I just don't know when that will be. NO ONE LIKES being woke up out of a sound sleep, regardless of hour. I wonder how the big shot of Sawnee EMC would like to get woke up in the middle of HIS NIGHT ? My gripe is more with Sawnee EMC running over its customers, than their contractors. But contractors end up looking bad when representing a company that isn't playing nice. All I ask, is that Sawnee EMC COMMUNICATE when they want to trim rights of way, so as to minimize any surprise to customers. Hang some door tags for goodness sake ! Well, I had 3 crews with chipper trucks all over my property to remove some trees I had let grow up under the power line. The power company notified everyone in the area by letter that crews would be cleaning the right-of-ways. I found these men to be very professional. They even raked up leaves and blew our gravel drive after I told them not to worry about it. All were Americans too ;^) I'll keep those areas mowed in the future so future work won't be necessary and the dogs won't have to be locked up for 2 days! read more

Much like Dixie, McAllister was contracted through our local Georgia power company and damaged our fence. Called office, they promised to fix. Of course they haven't. If I could give them negitive stars I would. The power company recently hired them out to do work around where I live, and looks more like a medieval battlefield than actual road work. There are sticks everywhere and I mean everywhere. There also is huge tire gouges all over the place including my yard since they couldn't be bother to knock on my door before they started tramping around it. You need are suppose to tell the home owner before trespassing on their property and cutting down trees. Not to mention they also cut nearly all the limbs off a living tree and just left it there to die and fall in the road within a few years. The workers also seemed incompitent when I talked to them. A couple of them also parked there huge trucks in the middle of the road and were laughing and joking rather than paying attention to the cars behind them. Doing work for a power company and they drove into my field then left limbs on my fence. I tracked them down to ask if they were going to clean it up, said yes. Still had to call their office and it took them a couple of days to get it up. Came back later and cut more near the house. Left limbs laying against my house, said they were coming back. Despite multiple calls and a months time limbs are still laying in our yard. Left three messages before I got a call back. read more
