I decided to try this place during a gas stop on the way to Jackson. I knew they served sandwiches, but I had never tried them before. When we walked in there were only a few customers in the lobby, but one gentleman was sitting and eating a sandwich that looked so appetizing, I interrupted him ,mid-bite, to ask what it was. He happily told me it was the.Memphian. Roasted turkey, Black Forest ham and Black Angus roast beef, provolone, spring mix, tomato, mayo and spicy brown mustard on a baguette. Yep! I'm sold! One 12", substitute extra turkey for the ham. I wasn't happy about the up-charge for the substitution but I sucked it up. Add a side of Mac and cheese and a lemonade tea and I was good to go. The sandwich was surprisingly good! Lots of meat! The other ingredients were proportioned well and the bread had just the right amount of softness to give a little but not so much to fall apart while you're holding it. The tea was also good. Not overly sweet and just the right balance of lemonade and tea. The Mac and cheese was another story. It was just flavorless mush. I sent it back and replaced with potato salad, which was really good. Did I mention the sandwich was huge?? I was completely stuffed after finishing all of that. It's a good thing I ate the white chocolate macadamia nut cookie before the sandwich arrived or I wouldn't have been able to finish it. It too, was really good. Life is short. Stopped in about 8 on a Thursday night on our way to New Orleans. My wife ordered soup and chicken salad from the half an half menu, and I ordered a club sandwich. It took twenty minutes for our food to arrive, even though it was just us and one other couple in the dining room and very little carry out traffic. It seemed like there were plenty of employees milling around but few actually doing anything. Our order came and soup wasn't hot and plenty of brown lettuce in salad and little chicken. I ate here yesterday, food was good, staff was attentive after I receive my food. I asked for an extra ranch dressing the lady brought it to me with no problems, the restaurant was clean tables and chairs were neat. The cleanliness of the restaurant seems up to par. The food does as well, I would recommend the choose 2 and I would also recommend getting the sweet tea as well. read more

I love the food here. I've tried the club, and ham and Swiss and both were delicious. Their cookies are also excellent but it's rare for me to find a dessert I don't like. I love love love the broccoli and cheddar soup. It's very filling and tastes like soup heaven. The customer service was impeccable. The cashier was both friendly and knowledgeable. Haven't been to a McAlister's since they left Baton Rouge. Can't say I miss the food too much but I do miss the large cups of sweet tea. It was Free Tea Day!! We had strawberry tea and peach tea with our spud and club sandwhich. The food was so-so. On the dry side. Probably should've chosen something else. The service was very good. Multiple employees asking if you need a refill, picking up plates and cleaning the dining area. The dining area and bathroom was clean. Good location at the interstate. Drive thru available. We drove a little before turning around and dining in. Not much to see or choose from. We were going to get tea any way, but it became the twinkle in the sky that it was Free Tea day. The food tonight was stomach-turning. If there was an option to give the food here 0 stars, we would. If you like to eat bloody and raw meat on your Angus Spud then it may be ok. But we prefer to have ours cooked with no red bloody juice dripped all over the potato. We were a party of three and none of our orders were any good. The manager was rude and the staff was young and inexperienced. We will not go back. read more

My last order from McAlister's (back in May) included a King Club (pictured). The sandwich was GREAT, enough for 2 meals for me. The only complaint I have is they forgot the pickle spear on both orders, and I made sure to include it on my mobile order. Reeeeally looked forward to that pickle. This place. I was so excited when they came because it's a new fresh option in a mostly rural place. Well as much as I enjoy the food the service at this place is the worst ever. They are always backed up. They always get orders WRONG. I would t be so mad if it was just some times but 8/10 times your order will be wrong. The worst part of this is that the back staff argues with patrons and other coworkers as if the patron is the one that messed up the order. I have seen them argue with managers and all! All because of their mistakes. Whomever the owner is needs to overhaul everyone and start anew. I'm really close to giving up on them read more

Horrible service waited over 30 minutes for our two meals, watched as two 4 tops, one 3 top and two 2 tops were brought their food who ordered after us. No explanation after asking for the manager who stated they are doing the beat they can, have gave us an attitude about complaining on the wait, said the order was done off two different lines, like that means anything to us.
