I had heard many good things about this restaurant and came in around 11 a.m. on a Saturday hoping…read moreto enjoy brunch. Overall, I enjoyed the food, but unfortunately I was disappointed with how the breakfast policy was communicated. I understand that the menu states breakfast ends at 9:30 a.m., and I have no issue with the menu prices themselves. However, after I had already been seated and served my coffee, I was informed that there would be an additional $3 surcharge if I wanted to order breakfast. The server explained that breakfast ingredients had already been put away and that items such as the breakfast salsa would need to be prepared again. I can understand the reasoning behind the restaurant's policy, but I would have greatly appreciated being informed of the additional charge when I arrived rather than after I had already been seated and served. At that point, I felt somewhat obligated to stay. Had I been told upfront that breakfast was still available but carried an additional $3 charge, I could have made the decision whether to stay or have brunch elsewhere. The food itself was enjoyable, and I had been looking forward to trying this restaurant. I was just let down by the lack of upfront communication regarding the surcharge.

While in Laredo Texas on business, I found this restaurant and decided to give it a shot. WOW,…read moreabsolutely DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The service, food and atmosphere were excellent. It was busy at the time I entered (10:15 am on a Wednesday) but I was seated immediately. My server Ivan was excellent and brought me coffee and my food order quickly. I ordered the "El Gringo" which was delicious (photo attached). Without asking , it came with two kinds of salsa (red and green). Red was spicy made with habaneros. Pancakes were great and Ivan even asked me if I wanted strawberry or blueberry topping on them. Of course I took the strawberries which put the pancakes over the top. Eggs, bacon and hash browns were delicious. I always enjoy supporting local restaurants and this place was loud, festive and enjoyable. I will 100% return if or when my business travels bring me back to Laredo Texas

Wife and I were looking for some good food in Laredo TX after not being there for many many years…read more We decided to go to La Finca since the reviews were good and we were definitely craving some brunch. First things first: I was super impressed. The inside is nice and the servers were great too, but our food stole the show. I got the Chicken and waffles and they were super good. There's always something about Chicken going well with waffles that somehow works, but thankfully it does. Wife got the El Gringo plate and she thoroughly enjoyed it too. We both wish we could have had more but for what we got it was really filling. If we ever do come back to Laredo we will stop by again. FYI apparently some or a good handful of the brunch plates come with pancakes on the side, according to our server, but it's not mentioned on the menu.

I got 4 tacos for $13, which is reasonable given that it's brisket and they include avocado, onion, salsa. The brisket for me was lacking a bit in flavor, and was a bit dry. I'd probably try a different item in the future, or perhaps their brick and mortar is better quality. Overall though the taste was good and I'd go back to try what else they have!

You'll order at the counter and they'll bring your food to you. I ordered the crispy conchinita tacos and fried dill pickle spears. I was alone and it was enough food for two at a reasonable price.
