Normally, when a place is new and only been open a short time, everyone is going through a learning process. My first experience with McAlister's here in Big Spring, more than met my expectations. Store was busy, but they moved customers with a minimal wait time. Iced tea is as good as any other McAlister's I have been to. Can't get any better. Got a French dip sandwich to eat in (all good + hot au jus) and also got baked potato with chile to go. Keep driving. Find anywhere else to eat. There aren't many options out here so we picked this one thinking it was a safe, solid meal type choice. The owner would be mortified. Careful folks if you order delivery. They use Door Dash for delivery and if your order is messed up, McAlisters will not accept responsibility. Our order was missing Au Jus for the French dip and not did they deliver the side dish. When we called McAlisters, they told us they were not responsible for deliveries. Beware!! read more

We were on road trip and placed our order online to be picked up. Our order was to be ready at 1:24. We arrived at 1:25, there was only one cashier and when i asked if there was somewhere to get call in orders the manager directed me to the line of people waiting to order that went all the way to the front door. I waited in line for 20 minutes, got to the cash register and they could not locate my order. Very poor service for all customers, not just me...people were waiting at the counter 10 minutes just to get a refill of their tea. read more

To-Go review: The reason I deducted a star is the lack of a dedicated To-Go line. If they have one, it's not necessarily marked. Although new, service seems to be quick and professional. Stopped by on our way through town around 4:30pm. The place was filthy and the staff was clearly stressed out. There was trash and mud all over the floors. The bathrooms were filthy, toilets clogged, floors messy, trash overflowing. All of our plates had some type of stains on them and the lettuce in the food was wilted. We went ahead and ate the food anyway, but didn't dare ask for anything or talk to the manager. The staff were seemed so stressed that we figured if we brought up a problem it would just make their days and therefore our experience worse. Crossing our fingers we don't get sick!! read more

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I've been here a few different times and received the same service and quality of food each time. The service may be a little slow but that didn't bother me, it was mostly the employees engaging with the customers which I believed to be a good thing. The French dip sandwiches are really good, not many places make good French dips. Mac and cheese is delicious. Soups are all mostly yummy as well. Turkey sandwiches are always a go too. They even made a pizza on a sandwich roll for my little one before since that's all he wanted. Very kind of them. Employees have all be friendly and helpful. The small, I'm not sure what everyone else is talking about. Only foul smell I have noticed is possibly some customers coming in straight from working. No big to me, don't stand that close to them. We have been doing the carryout for work for about a week or two. With maybe 15 separate orders. The food is ready on time, correct and never an issue. The food is fresh and tasty. Probably one of the dirtiest McALISTER'S I've been in. There where multiple tables with dirty dishes on them and others needing wiped down. Nobody was in a big hurry to clean up the tables. Foods not bad but service is slow. But this is Big Spring and you can't have very high expectations here. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I Ordered my food online. From the time I ordered online to the time I arrive to pick it up was about 25 min. Once I arrived I was told "your order just now popped up on the screen" which doesn't seem believable, maybe they just didn't see it. So I'm told to pull into the designated spot and they will bring my order out to me. After waiting another 30 minutes with never hearing from anybody I went inside and asked for a refund. read more

The struggle is real on to go orders. Expect them to have either completely missed you order from online ordering or not have an item ready so you wait over or near an hour while the rest of your food gets cold. Don't worry about complaining, you won't be contacted back. The restaurant is often dirty and always seems like it could use a good scrubbing. I wouldn't go here if options weren't so slim in BS and their salads weren't so good. I'm giving them 2 stars for having fairly good food and somewhat good service IN the store. read more

This is definitely the nastiest McAlister's Deli and with the worst service. When they brought our food to the table the plates were really dirty. We told an employee that our plates were dirty and he changed them but he had the worst attitude about it. And the restrooms are disgusting!! read more

Revised - My initial review was regarding a slow service experience from the restaurant in Big Spring. The food was excellent but I felt like the wait time was a lot longer than it should've been. Today I was contacted by the owner who apologized for the slow service and assured that they were working to get it corrected. The staff was friendly but the food was ok. We ordered a hot sandwich that did not come with lettuce like it was suppose to. And no pickle. The salad came with the wrong dressing. Understand that they are new and just now getting going. But they gave me chipotle barbecue instead of chipotle ranch dressing. read more

Visited on work trip on 2/15/16. Clerk taking order appeared to be very young (high schooler?) and in training. Had to repeat my sandwich order 3 times and still wasn't convinced she would get it right... To my surprise she did. Black angus club was good. Very good experience at McAlister's. Staff was very friendly & helpful. The line went pretty fast & our food came out faster than expected. My meal was fresh & delicious, not to mention the tasty lemonade. A few tables needed to be cleaned, so I had to really look around for a clean one but it wasn't too bad. This location is not very good or clean like those where I'm from...Dallas. Employees chat and laugh while customers are waiting in line to order. Salad room temp which scares me! Need better management!! Not too many other eating places to choose from or I'd bet they'd close down. read more

We eat at McAlisters at least 3 days a week (not many other options) and the last 3 orders have been wrong. I even stressed tonight that my order is always wrong (I don't eat onions) and to please make sure it is correct tonight; got home and it is wrong AGAIN!!! Food is usually very good. Tea rocks! They are just terribly under staffed. You can see the stress in the staffs faces. Service was great when it first opened and was always clean. McAlisters is one of my favorite places. Driving home to Texas from Utah I was excited to see this on the way. Two words, name tag. Can we please have these so i don't have to group everyone with this girl who took my order needs to find a job that doesn't deal with other people. She complained how long I took to decide what I wanted and it wasn't even that long. I asked her about a sandwich, and she rudely answered she wouldn't know. So whatever her babe is with the flower tattoo with script on her arm should be talked too. Was very rude and made me uncomfortable. On the other hand I've been waiting 15 minutes for one sandwich. Seems like there having problems being organized. (As I'm watching the cashier girl be rude to someone else in line) glad to know I'm not the only one. This place is awesome. It is totally five stars and I have zero complaints. I love the drive-through that only accepts pre-ordered meals. That makes it so fast to grab and go at lunchtime when you order online. The key lime pie is a little expensive at $4.00 a slice - that would make a whole pie about $32 but I can overlook this.
