    Order from your table

Ordered the horseradish roast beef and cheddar and the garden turkey. Yummy! Soft, fresh bread and lots of meat. Restaurant is really clean and has lots of room. Our order was taken promptly and food delivered fast. You can even sit down and order from your table.

Amongst this wild CoVid-19 mayhem this location delivered my food to me when other places closer to us wouldn't! The guy was super awesome and punctual! I will continue supporting this location! It was so worth the $50 minimum!!

    Floors look despicable and nasty.

I cant honestly feel good on giving this McAlisters even 1 star but it forced me to. Upon walking up to the counter to order, there was a spilled drink all over it. Filthy! Bathrooms were atrocious. Toilets yuck! Hair in sink. Huge new paper towel roll was sitting on shelf instead of in dispenser, so it was unuseable. Had to search for a clean booth table. Floors needed a sweep and serious mopping. It looked like they hadn't been touched all day. An employee was on her hands and knees picking up trash and 15 seconds later delivering meals to tables without handwashing. Her 'smokes' were sticking out of her back pocket. I had the McAlister Club. I had 1 tomato slice on the whole sandwich that was no bigger than a silver dollar. I think they were rationing bacon because I got 1/2 of a slice total. There was no mayo but tons of yellow mustard. It was NOT the standard McAlister Club I've had at various locations nationwide. A 3 year old could have done a better sandwich building. The Potato salad was NOT the standard McAlisters. What I received was the junk you buy in a tub at a cheap supermarket. It was disgusting that I couldn't finish it. I had to hurry and eat it because I was in competition with the flies that were on the floor then onto our table. This McAlisters FAILED in every facet of professional restaurant operation. If it wasn't for it being a Sunday with limited options for dining, we would have left. This place needs a health Dept inspection before someone gets sick. I expect BETTER at McAlisters.

I've ordered twice from this location in a week and both times they've cancelled my order. Very rude staff, wouldn't bother with this place

It wasn't too long of a wait... they were pretty busy. I wish I had taken pics. I ordered the French Dip. It was DELICIOUS. Nice and hot, perfect amount of au jus to dip in and the cheese and bread was great! But it was $15 and it was very very small. It doesn't come with anything other than the sandwich. That made me expect a large sandwich. It didn't even fill the little paper boat thing they serve it in. We got sweet tea and a bag of chips. Hubby got the turkey sandwich. Was also grilled- the turkey was nice, but the cranberry jam overpowered any other flavor. It was really small as well and was $18. The two bags of sun chips and a drink should have been included in that price, but it wasn't... we knew that, so it's cool, but expected larger meals for walking out with a $38 bill. They also don't have any burgers any more, so the menu here should be updated. Sweet tea was over steeped, and that wouldn't be a big deal either except again.... $$$! Lovely spot, pretty tasty! Still hungry.

The sandwiches are served warm with buttered toasted bread.. that was a hit... plenty of chicken thin sliced (not paper thin but just right) add the dill mayo and cheese and you have perfectly tasty sandwiches. They also have some delicious sides along with a small pickle bar. Next trip thru we will stop again and this time try the French dip and turkey sandwiches with a side... we look for unique local restaurants to visit and Locals was perfect.

From the start, the service set the tone. My server had that perfect balance--attentive, helpful, and genuinely engaged without hovering. It made the evening feel relaxed and easy. I started with the Parmesan fries because, honestly, who skips Parmesan fries when they're on the menu? They were crisp, flavorful, and just indulgent enough to feel like the right decision. For the entrée, I ordered the pan-seared salmon, and it did not disappoint. It was cooked to perfection, and the seasoning complemented the fish beautifully. The risotto was creamy and well-prepared, and the green beans had that fresh, crisp texture that tied everything together. The atmosphere added to the experience. Being set inside a beautifully restored historic property gave the place character. It felt like a spot where locals gathered--there was a familiarity in the room that made it feel like the place to see and be seen. And while it didn't hurt to walk in alongside the head of the local hospital (pure coincidence, and no, I wasn't a patient), the restaurant stood on its own merit. If you're driving through Big Spring or staying the night, Settles Grill was well worth the stop. It's a place where you don't "settle" at all--you simply have a very good meal in a setting that feels both welcoming and established.
