Went there today and discovered Mark is apparently gone, there were very few tires in stock, and I got charged over $100 labor to mount/balance two OFF THE BIKE supermoto tires. I needed a new rear tire for my bike. I called to see if they had my particular tire (white wall) in stock and they did. No appointment was required so I headed over. There was only one bike ahead of mine which was just coming off the lift. It took about one hour which allowed me the opportunity to catch lunch. When the tire was off, Mark found a burr on the wheel that could have been a future issue. He filed it down before mounting the new tire. A screw went flush and dead center into the rear tire of my Forty-Eight. I pressured up the tire and chanced it on two freeways to get to MC Tire Works on Saturday morning. We discussed options and I went with a Metzeler rear. They took my bike in immediately and said they would call me when it was ready. My wife and daughter followed me down, so we drove to a nearby coffee shop in Lomita. Before they called our names for our coffees MC called me to say the bike was ready! Got a rear flat on my 1990 FXLRC pulled in to MC Tire at 9:15 am Mark opened up a little before 9:30am, Have maybe 800 miles on the tires and the puncture could be patched to save me some $$ plus if I replaced the tire I'd want 140/90/16 michelin which he did not have in stock.. Options discussed I went for the patch to be on my way. Super SUPER Business as professional as you an get. This shop is a no brainer. Call ahead to be sure your tires are in stock. Most of the time they will be. If not next day always. Service is prompt as can be. You may have to wait your turn but I've always met other riders that don't mind talking it up. If not leave your bike and go across the street to Starbucks. Fist off Thank you Mark for the EXCELENT service! I went online to buy tires and found that MC tires was 10-25 $ cheaper than online, and they had them in stock. I was told it would take till I got out of there. I was out in 1 hour and 45 minutes. He cleaned my really dirty chain cleaned my rims and Cleaned all the sticky stuff from the old weights off the rim, all the other places I've been to didn't bother to clean anything. He noticed my tires were even the wrong size and let me know and asked if I wanted the correct size and sold me low profile tire for the front for better turning. After the install he had me get on the bike to get the proper chain adjustment.. NOT ONE SHOP I have ever been to has taken the time to adjust the chain right. I was 110% satisfied with the service I was given. as for the Dump T guy that's a joke for a review. So I called and spoke to Mark on the phone just before noon today looking for a Michelin front tire for my Harley. He told me that he had it in stock and he could install it today. I rode over and he installed the tire while I waited, and I was back at work by 1:00 p.m. I own an auto repair shop locally and I know you can get the tire $20.00 cheaper online, but then you have to wait 3 days to get it. They installed a tire i bought on my last Triumph when two different shops refused to work on that model, one dealer said they didn't have a tire machine big enough for the rim and another shop said they didn't know how to get the tire clear of the swingarm, M/C had no problem with either. On my new Triumph, I ordered the tires from them, price was in line with Web prices and Eric had both tires on in about 90 mins. Best part was Eric helped straighten out come bends in my engine guards and they're straight again, so very good on him! read more

I had both tires on my '78 BMW replaced here... I'm uninformed about tire pricing but it seemed reasonable. After a little pricing research online, my Bridgestone Spitfires would've been a bit cheaper if ordered online but I felt it was worth the little bit extra to just ride to the shop and have them installed there. The important thing about this shop that I feel worth mentioning is that the guys here were not at all intimidated by or biased against working on an old unfamiliar machine. I had my doubts initially since I've had a bad experience already with a 'modern' motorcycle shop working on my vintage ride. Not only did they seem more than capable, but they exercised the utmost care in setting the bike up on the rack and removal of the wheels and tires, being careful not to scratch it or over tighten the fasteners.
