Poor service, egomaniac running this place who has time to sling immediate personal email attacks,…read morebut took a month to tell me that he can't help me with a business matter. Actual exchange between the owner, Johnny Castro and me (names and personal details removed): Me: Thank you for the referral, but a piece of feedback for you... it would have been good to know this a month ago when I initially reached out with my need and sat waiting for the initial consultation today, versus 4 minutes after the consultation was scheduled to start. I've lost valuable time in resolving this issue... sadly unprofessional. Johnny: It's people like you that really make us question offering free consultations to begin with. Our firm generates over $20m annually, so we have very limited time to review non-billable emails. But when we do, we kindly provide substantive guidance or make referrals to the right people within our global network. Me: My firm generates $17B in annual revenue and I get back to people within 24 hours of their initial inquiry. Johnny: Lol, okay man, being an employee of a company doesn't mean you're making that amount. You make $300k tops. Piss ant. Me: You have to pay people so you don't take home $20M either... douche bag... LOL

Despite never writing reviews, I'm compelled to share the experience we had with Castro & Co. While…read moresome of the staff were helpful when they responded to emails, the interactions with John Anthony Castro (owner) were by far the most unprofessional and disrespectful I've had with anybody in my personal or professional life. My experience mirrors some of the comments below with regard to the completely inappropriate personal insults and complete lack of communication when emails aren't responded to for months. Further, he's placed the blame for mistakes his firm made in not remaining up to date with regard to tax law, on the client. The damage has been done in our case, but I write this review to hopefully help others avoid a potentially very costly mistake and extremely frustrating experience with a process that's already stress inducing and convoluted.

A waste of time. I've been with them for a few months already and the only thing they've offered me…read moreso far are very low-paying, one-day jobs (some of which are only three hours long). I've applied to two decent assignments through them, did everything correctly, tailored my resume and had awesome interviews--and both clients ended up keeping preexisting temp employees already in the role, for "convenience". If not hiring a new employee is most convenient, why do they keep wasting my time? One time, they even offered me a decent pay rate for an opportunity--when I accepted and submitted my resume, they asked if I could accept $2 less on the hourly rate because "other candidates had 10+ years of experience" and I should want to stand out. If they have over 10 years of experience in the administrative field and I have 5 years of experience--why would I even be considered in the first place? Sparks Agency was either trying to get more money from me or there are some poor souls out there with TEN years of experience answering phones/scheduling and are reduced to accepting such a pitiful rate for all of their hard work. Also, they sent me a position which, in their own description, required at least a bachelors degree. When I looked at the original job listing on the company's website, it only required an associate's degree! Something fishy is definitely going on here. Please don't bother with this agency unless you have 30 years of experience as someone's admin and are looking to make $13-20 an hour, just to be told multiple times that you're not convenient enough. I've had MUCH better experiences at other staffing agencies in town.

This company dropped the ball on communication. Reached out to them several times, they said…read moresomeone would get back to me, and they never followed through.

Beyond Belief Incredible Attorney Who Cares and Works!…read more I found Carol through a referral to handle my military case. She stuck with me for a year through so many of my personal and legal ups and downs, my emotions and health issues because of what happened to me, and she is truly remarkable. To see her in action is tremendous! I've watched an entire room while Carol was presenting and she's so quick with information in terms of citing regulations on the spot against speculative and unsubstantiated remarks coming from the other side. Truly in awe of her abilities. She is more than just an incredible person, but a great attorney. She translated everything to me in plain English, went above and beyond to protect me legally/physically without charging me the extra tens of thousands of dollars she deserved for working long hours on my case, and of course, we received the judgement I needed in order for me to feel safe and try to live my life after trauma. Not trying to be dramatic, but to whomever is reading this, know that Carol is the person you want on your side. I initially approached another attorney (not at this firm) and he told me to "drop it," "don't pursue anything and move on." Carol never did that. She listened and believed in me. I unequivocally recommend Carol (Saroja and Daisy) as your next attorney. Specifically, if you need 5-star representation, go with Ms. Thompson post haste. Why? She is highly effective, brilliant, thoughtful, creative and most of all; she accomplishes the goal of zealous advocacy without insult, injury or raising her voice. She communicates as well to her client (me) often, as she does to judges. Furthermore, her working knowledge of legal standards and your issues - even if based on first impression - is first-class. When? If you have a current attorney (fire them, I mean that with all sincerity), retain her and thank me later. Not all attorneys are created equally. If you are looking for an attorney, bring her on board immediately. I witnessed first hand, her ability to digest voluminous information - distill what was relevant and irrelevant and make cogent arguments. That goes double in a small area where the paucity of effective counsel leaves much to be desired. You have a diamond in the rough with Carol and her team. She does not use superfluous words or enter anything into evidence to make the case for opposing counsel. She understands the burden of proof and uses it effectively and surgically. Background? For context (what is it worth), I never write reviews. Everyone's situation is different. I also put little opinion in the faith of others. However, Carol's representation was so beyond perfection, that I believe I owe it to everyone reading this, that you hire her immediately. What's more, if it matters, I have used five attorneys now, so I believe I know what good and bad lawyering looks like (or should like). Carol represented me in a sensitive matter. She took the matter to its logical conclusion and prepared me and represented my interest before the tribunal very well. First, her legal acumen is without peer. Opposing counsel, while over-matched, was a worthy adversary. Nevertheless, she objected when necessary. She also did not do anything to showboat or appease me for the sake of "getting even". Additionally she made well-reasoned, articulated and ultimately effective arguments on my behalf. Second, her demeanor is even keel. Her temperament is the same. She knows how to calm you down, while also laying the crumbs for the trier of fact to find in your favor. To conclude, her sunny disposition is just who she is; a good-hearted person. However, do not let that disarm you, she is legally lethal when necessary. That said, if you need to win and "beat the case," Carol is who you should go with immediately. Highly, highly recommend Carol and her team. --Very Sincerely, Retired [and now safe] Air Force Veteran.

Like some of the other comments on here, I will attest as a paid customer that Ksenia is indeed…read morevery rude and lazy when it comes to her job. The rudeness has been pretty consistent from the beginning of dealing with this company. Recently, she accused me of being misinformed and calling me a liar when I asked her to clarify a step in her instructions. She yelled at me and told me that I needed to go back and read her initial email. I did. She sent me a screenshot of the altered instructions from a completely different customer, and when I called her out on it, she simply tried to brush it off by calling me Mr. Matt. I asked her for instructions on how to bring our family cat over, knowing that they don't provide services for pets but that she would have information. She did, and she just gave flat-out wrong information, saying that our cat needed a rabies vaccine 10 days before travel. WARNING!!! If you have a cat or dog, it is not that simple. They need a health certificate endorsed by the USDA (costs between $500 and $700). Any vaccines that need to be given need to be given no less than 20 days before departure, and your health certificate appointment needs to be 5 days before travel, which, with the government shutdown, is next to impossible. Plus, the link she provided to the correct website albeit down. Again, because the government is shut down. My wife and I were pretty upset about this and tried to tell her and let her know what her mistake has cost us with regards to a family pet. She usually pushed back and took no responsibility, and said she didn't care about our cat. If you choose to save your dignity, money, and self-respect, you can do all the things they charge you for by yourself, and for much less money. A good example would be the exorbitant amount of money just to schedule an appointment for you. So please don't be taken advantage of like we were.

The service was very prompt and detailed. It is great value for money as you are not required to travel to the city of the embassy yourself. The service fees are definitely fair and not at all overpriced.
