I usually do not write reviews as in EVER. But this instance is of the utmost importance. I have been to this barbershop on two occasions. The first time everything went fine, as fine as a barbershop can get in the middle of Yonkers. The second occasion however things got really weird. I needed a last minute cut for an interview I have scheduled for tomorrow, I decided to see if I could catch this barbershop before they closed. They ended up allowing me. The person that ended up doing the cut was the Owner of the store himself (Martin). At first things were cordial hair is getting cut I am relaxed he is doing his job. Things got a little weird once he started asking me questions (all in Spanish) Questions I've never been asked in a barber's chair as a man. "How old are you?" "Where do you live?" "Do you work out, you look strong" " Do you want to grab a drink sometime?" "I do massages at my place would you want that sometime?". Making me extremely uncomfortable! He kept doing things like lifting up the cape, seemingly to check me out, (he thought I didn't catch on) or when he was cutting my mustache he kept touching my lip in a weird way. He was persistent about getting my number, which I regrettably gave him under the impression that it would be used to schedule a follow up appointment. Instead he immediately texted me after I left. First asking how the hair cut was, although he had already asked me this in person and then once again mentioning his interest in giving me a full body massage! I informed him in the nicest way possible that I am very much not gay and not interested, but he then tried to play it off!! I'm not shutting down the other barbers in that barbershop but the actual owner of this establishment is a CREEP. You have been warned !!!! read more
