I don't want to spend a ton of money so he replaced the adobe bricks with cinder blocks that were the same size and shape and had the texture of adobe. Pablo then painted it. He and his son did a really nice job. They built a frame around the fireplace so the dust would be contained during demo and replacement. It only took 1 day to do the bulk of the work before returning 2 days later to paint it the same matching color. I'm happy with the work they did!

I had a broken piece of flagstone that just kept deteriorating over time. I had asked several…read moretradespeople about how to fix and no-one really knew. So, the other day I googled it. I ended up on Yelp and zero'd in on Pablo's Masonry Work because of the good reviews. I called him, spoke to him, sent him pics and he came out the next day which was yesterday. He repaired the problem and addressed a few other flagstone issues while he was here. He was professional, hard working and did a great job. He kept the area clean, cleaned up after himself and has a very pleasant demeanor. I asked him if he knew someone who could build a fence and it turns out he does everything. So now I am waiting on a bid from him to do the fence and eaves. I can tell he's a perfectionist who takes pride in his work and delivers quality results. So nice to find honest, hardworking and dependable people to do work that I have no expertise or interest in doing myself. Thank you Yelp for providing this platform that helps consumers find the right fit for the job!

To top it all off these guys were definitely the best price for the value provided. Anyone looking for a patio covering I highly recommend these guys I've dealt with a lot of contractors the past 2 years trying to fix up my home and they were by far ahead of the rest. And best part was no mess left upon completion. They were nice enough to even explain how they wired my ceiling fan and misters so that if I need to change anything I know exactly what I'm turning off and how to access it. Definitely worth every penny paid.

Can't Keep a 5 star rating with Jeremy and API Builders Inc as he has never built anything for me…read more He asked me to get a permit passed, which I did for him, but then he wanted to keep the permit in the "owner/builder" status, making me the General Contractor of this Deck/Pergola. I would never do that on this or any project since I am a homeowner, not a contractor. I was looking to hire a Deck/pergola/fence/drainage builder who takes accountability and responsibility for the build. As I understand it, CSLB (Contractor's State Licensing Board) and City La Mesa define Owner/Builder as someone who either builds entire project by him or herself or subcontracts a licensed contractor, thereby employing that licensed contractor and therefore creating a W2 for that licensed contractor and therefore taking full liability for that licensed contractor's work. That would be impossible for me to do since I don't have/never have had a Contractor's License, nor have I ever been formally educated in the field. If I was a contractor, I would do the build myself. I am a homeowner, not a contractor.
