I wish I could give them -0 stars, the "case manager" Adilene is never there and never returns voicemails and when she does returns emails she left you hanging. The firm didn't want to fight my case (which they could because I just found out about it with another attorney) and I lost it because their claims specialist Robert Kent told me and my mom to stop therapy. They waited enough time to cut me off to make it impossible for me to find another attorney; I never received their advice to look for another while I was going to the chiropractor (again they should've done it). The law offices of McGee and Leher whose lead attorney Dan McGee totally dropped and mismanaged my case and let valuable evidence expire by doing very little. He had me running all over town to try to get evidence for him while I was concussed! And his staff could not even open a simple file that I opened in 2 seconds. He didn't even have the decency to explain to me why he dropped the case. And then sent me on a wild-goose chase to a lawyer who wasn't even responsible. I will be reporting him to the California Bar association and doing reviews on all the websites about their service because nobody should have to be treated and betrayed like this in a vulnerable state with a brain injury! I can't recommend this law firm strongly enough. If you are badly injured like I was (after being rear-ended on the 405 freeway; my car had $18,000+ in damage; I couldn't work for two months; and then could only work with restrictions) then you need an aggressive lawyer on your side. I actually hired another firm first, but wasn't happy with them. They never returned my calls. I never knew what was going on with my case, and I never even spoke to a lawyer - only assistants. Difficult to get a hold of during my case - did not update me often on how it was going. They seemed so busy that they did not try their best to get the most from insurance company. I was hit by another car (their fault) and suffered from a bad concussion. It seemed like Catherine went for the minimum amount from my insurance company and she sounded like a car salesman when I wanted her to negotiate with them. She connected me to a neurologist that was of no help as well. After it was settled I found out that she could have pushed for more. The lack of communication was the main problem. read more

First let me say that I would really want to give them a 4.5 but that isn't allowed. Second, if I were ever in a similar situation I would have no hesitation using them again. In my situation I was on vacation (out of state) in a rental car, in the middle of a 3 car accident, with the other two drivers covered by the same insurance company, with the last driver being a minor in a car that was registered to someone at a different address. I thought this is going to be fun. Looked around on the Internet and saw the reviews so I decided to try McGee, Lerer & Associates. Grading them I give them an A for answering any questions I had as well as informing of the process. You pay lawyers to provide advice which I clearly received.I never felt rushed when talking to any of the staff at the firm. I give them an A for reactive communication. Any time I called or emailed I had a response within the next business day. I give them a C for proactive communication. As the process went on there were long time gaps which I sort of knew were going to occur but it would have been nice to even get an email saying"we're still on track." Again reactive communication was a business day, or less. At the end of it all it was great not to have to deal with any of the insurance companies. That in itself may have almost been worth it. I received a fair settlement and was guided by Catherine as she negotiated.
